I have all the busts except for Vader and Padme.(I missed Vader by less than a day and the Padme bust does nothing for me)

I just got the biker scout and Greedo. The detail in these are incredible.

Does anyone else get into these?

A lot of the busts look lame to me. I would like just one though. Don't know which. Maybe Greedo.

Greedo looks great if you haven't seen it.

Both Boba and Jango look great and so do the Troopers(Clone and Boker scout).

Gran Moff Tarkin looks real good too.

any news on any rumored busts? "darthsidious, or should I say emperor" looks amazing.. He is next on the list. I get them at a local comicbook shop here in Houston. The only problem is that everyone seems to get there's online first.. Then again it's not a problem as long as I get them as well!!

Sadly, busts are one of the few types of collectibles I have to stay away from. They're relatively expensive and not too practical (though gorgeous, to say the least!). I would've gotten the silver Jango bust from Mastercard if they accepted my application... ALL THREE TIMES I APPLIED. Though I would probably break my rule to get a Slave Leia one. Yes, I'm shameless.

I do get the BustUps, but can't seem to find the rarer ones (though my Villians collection is almost complete) and no sign of Sith ones anywhere (and the newer wave is coming soon... DAGNABBIT). Just ordered both versions of Clonetrooper packs from Star Wars Shop.

As one of my present this year I got the Star Wars Clone Wars General Grievous Maquette made by the good people over at Gentle Giant. Each one of this Statues are number I got number 1358 out of 3,500 in the world.

He is a worthy opponent for any Jedi Knight. Grievous hunted Jedi for sport and proudly displayed his victims' lightsabers around his belt as trophies of his conquests.

My favorite present I got this past year for the holidays is what my father got me. A Star Wars Biker Scout and Speeder Bike Statue. It is also from Gentle Giant and it has a limited edition run of 5000.The one I have is number 2540. One think I love about this statue is the great pose on it there is a great eye-catching optical illusion, as first glances really make it seem like that speeder bike is floating.

I have been a fan of the Scout Troopers. Since the first time I saw Episode IV Return of the Jedi back in 1983. When I was only five years old.

WOW, I knew she was short...but not that short ;)

What Vader is that?

Theropod
04-04-2006, 05:27 PM
It's the Sideshow Premium Format 1/4 scale Darth Vader statue.
Sideshow's PF Vader webpage (http://www.sideshowtoy.com/cgi-bin/category.cgi?category=search&item=7117&type=store)
The entire Sideshow PF line is amazing.
The new 12 inch action figures are too bad either.

Oh, and it's not that she's short, it's that the Vader statue is nearly two feet tall.

You can still get them for less than retail on eBay, unless you are looking for the exclusive versions, but for most of them the exclusive items don't really add much to the pieces.
The only two I'm paying full price for is the Grievous exclusive and the Leia exclusive. Unfortunately, retailers can't order the exclusives so everybody has to pay full price on those.

I have a question - does anyone here have either the Kotobukiya 501st clone or Shock Trooper that can tell me how tall it is? I'm thinking about getting one and size is a concern. I've seen their size listed as anywhere from 9.5 " to 13 " tall on the internet. The official site says its 12 ", but most toy sites list them as 10" to 11". If someone here could help me that would be great.
