Mandalorians

I don't know how many of you know, but I played a Mandalorian in the Steve Mollman's "Betrayed Federation". I am exploring the possibilty of doing a Karvo Zem solo story with Steve. I need some help with reasearch though. I know Mandalorians fought with the Sith about 4,000 years Before Yavin, and 35 years after that the Old Republic had a war with the Mandalorians in reprisal for the Mandalorians helping the Sith.

After that there's a jump to 30 years before Yavin where the Mandalorians are fractured ito two groups, Death Watch and Merrel's grup.

So this story woudl take place somewhere in the neighborhood of 850 or so years before Yavin. So any relevant inof you would have on Mandalorians at this time would help. I just wasn't sure how accurate the character was in B.F.

There isn't much. We know very little of the Mandalorians at all, let alone in there. You can preddy much do whatever I'd imagine.

James, I've been far too hyperfannish for my own good and have devised this timeline after trawling across the Internet. Sources include Timeline Gold, JMM's Chronology, Time Tales, and the Completely Unofficial Encyclopedia.

The Great Sith War (Source: Tales of the Jedi) 3,996 BBY. The forces of Lord Mandalore attack the Empress Teta System. The Dark Jedi Ulic Qel-Droma duels with Mandalore on the planet Kuar (near Empress Teta) and defeats him; Mandalore gives Ulic command of the Mandalorian forces.
3,996 BBY (cont). Ulic leads a Mandalorian/Krath force against the Republic shipyards at Foerost, stealing 300 warships.
3,996 BBY (cont). Ulic (against the wishes of Sith Lord Exar Kun) attempts to invade Coruscant with his forces. The battle turns against the Krath, and Aleema, a leader of the Krath, tries to replace Ulic with Lord Mandalore. Mandalore is loyal to Ulic, however, and arranged with Kun to have Ulic extracted from Coruscant during his trial by the Senate.
3,996 BBY (cont). On Onderon, Mandalorian forces attempt to retake the city, but are repelled by the Republic. Lord Mandalore is killed, but one of his warriors takes his armor and assumes his title.
The Mandalorian Wars (Source: Knights of the Old Republic) 3,976 BBY. The Mandalorians begin attacking unallied systems in the Outer Rim.
3,963 BBY. Seizing advantage of the crippled state of the Old Republic following the Great Sith War, the Mandalorians launch a series of attacks on the Republic. The Jedi choose to remain uninvolved, leaving this as a campaign purely by the Republican military.
3,961 BBY. The Jedi Knights Revan and Malak, disagreeing with Jedi Council’s decision, assume command of a Republic fleet battling the Mandalorians. A number of other Jedi follow their lead.
3,960 BBY. The Republic forces, led by Revan and Malak, defeat the Mandalorians, who surrender unconditionally. Revan and Malak take their forces into deep space, supposedly to chase down some rogue Mandalorians.
The Last Sith War

It seems likely that Mandalorians are involved in this war, since some Mandalorian armor is seen on Ruusan in Jedi vs. Sith. Whether it's in a mercenary fashion, or if the race has allied itself with one of the sides, is unknown.

The Interwar Period (Sources: Star Wars Encyclopedia, Open Seasons) 200 BBY. The Mandalorians destroy the Ithullian species.
58 BBY. By this time the Mandalorian mercenaries have been fractured into two organizations: Jaster Mereel’s group and Vizsla’s Death Watch. In a battle between the two on Concord Dawn, Jango Fett’s family is killed; Mereel takes him into the Mandalorian order.
52 BBY. Mereel is killed in a Death Watch ambush on Korda 6. Despite attempts by Montross, Jango becomes leader of the Mandalorians.
34 BBY. While the Mandalorians are assaulting Mandalorians on Galidraan, Jango is ambushed by Vizsla on Galidraan at the same time Jedi forces under Master Dooku arrive to stop the Mandalorians. Half the Jedi are killed, but all the Mandalorian forces are. Jango is sold into slavery.
The Clone Wars (Sources: "Battle for Mandalore", Marvel series) 21 BBY. Five Jedi, lead by Quana, and Lt. Weirs’ Pico-12 and Moduls squads are sent to Mandalore to stop the expansionist Governor Vrox. The Jedi gain the upper hand, so Vrox flees in his yacht, his escape covered by the ten supercommandoes of Wraith Squad, lead by Janx Ferro. Both Republic squads are wiped out by the Mandalorian squad in an ambush, but the Jedi defeat Wraith Squad. Only a few of its supercommandoes survive.
Sometime during the Clone Wars, the Mandalorian supercommandoes are called into battle on the side of Palpatine. Only three of the 212 commandoes survive, including Fenn Shysa and Tobbi Dala, who stay on Mandalore to guard its inhabitants.
The Galactic Civil War (Source: Marvel series) 3 ABY. Looking for Boba Fett in an attempt to find Han Solo, Leia and C-3PO travel to Mandalore (capital: Kedalbe). They battle Imperial slavers, and encounter Fenn, helping him free Tobbi (who has been captured by the slavers) in exchange for his help. The slaver base is destroyed.
The Nagai/Tof War (Source: Marvel series) 4 ABY. The Nagai, a race from the Unknown Regions, attack several planets in the system that includes Mandalore. Fenn heads for Endor to seek help from the Alliance.
4 ABY (cont). After the Nagai ally with the Alliance to battle the Tofs, their deadly enemy, Fenn leads a force of Nagai and Mandalorians into the Unknown Regions to liberate the Nagai homeworld from the Tofs.

Little update, the Offical Costume of Karvo Zem, the main Character in the forth coming "Hunter's Luck" is nearing completion. BY the end of may the offical Karvo Zem costume will be complete, all I really need is a helmet and guantlets. If its okay with Nathan, whenever I wear it to Conventions I might carry around a sign saying "Check out Starwarsfanworks.com"
