HH -- the lens adapter is homemade... gives the video a depth of field similar to 35mm film.. combined with being able to shoot at 24 fps with that camera it gives you a look similar in quality to 16mm film using miniDV video.

Yeah... been on it for a little over a year, dropped close to 100 pounds at this point... it works for me, and as much as I hate being trendy there are enough "low carb" branded products out there now to satisfy most cravings.

I wasn't here in 96.

And I haven't seen anything that would qualify as a blizzard since I've been here. A few days of snow is not even a real winter, IMHO. That's one of the few things I like about this area . . no winter.

I've been in one real blizzrd, and it was in Minnesota, during "The Perfect Storm". The cold arctic air that collided with the two other systems came through North America and it was a doozy of a blizzard.

I love Disneyland. We went there this summer and I had more fun than I expected to. It was about the fourth or fifth time I've been over the course of my life, and it was still great. The Magic Kingdom and MGM Studios in Walt Disney World are a lot of fun too.

You're right about the Animal Kingdom, although there are some nifty things about it, like the big animal tree. The California Adventure (groan) sucks like crazy, but the main parks are lots of fun.

EuroDisney (now called Disneyland Europe) was a lot of fun too, even though it rained lightly while we were there in 1992. It was great because there were NO lines for anything, and we could ride the cool rides over and over without waiting.

Anyhoo, I wanted one of the serious ones because serious portraits are more classic and everybody smiles for yearbook pictures and I look like a dork when I smile. Peter was very nice, quiet - but polite... He looked very tired by Sunday afternoon though... He was on Model And Collector's Mart's stand at Memorabilia 2004 at the NEC in B'ham UK at the weekend - that's a magazine owned by the same company I work for so I got to meet him (briefly)... and he signed my 12" poseable Chewbacca toy box - now sitting on my monitor speakers in my studio... Never really got to speak... There's always a bigger Geek behind you.

I finally got around to taking a bunch of (actually good) pictures of my Halloween costume and me in it. Here's a couple shots of the costume
