Well, when I saw that Tovor had posted images of his Lego City he created, I got the idea of posting images of things that I had created. Pretty clever, no? :sarcasm: Well, here's the first of my creations out of K'nex which I built last night. This is based on the Tank Unit you see in AotC. I got it as close to the real deal as I could from memory, and I know I took a few liberties with constructional details. Oh well, enjoy!

EDIT: Okay, yeah... the real interesting stuff is in the back. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whip.gif

This one and the one after aren't Star Wars creations. These were inspired by the Video Game MechWarrior. These aren't the first ones I created, those were larger but were taken apart and I don't remember how I built them. These current ones are just the latest versions in a chain of small 'Mechs I had built. They are the only surviving members.

The next one, a considerably more beefed up. My personal favorite out of all the 'Mechs.

This one is just a Freighter I had built last night. It's not anything that can be seen in the Star Wars Universe, it's really just some thing I started building out of boredom.

And finally we have a group shot so you can see how they pair up in size...

I'll probably take these apart sometime later and come back with more. Maybe a Stardestroyer. Now I warn you, it's not going to look like a STARDESTROYER, but it'll be the closest I can get. I've built three before, so it shouldn't be too hard this time. Any requests, if I can meet them, would be welcome. I need ideas for things to build.

Okay, here is a sort of refined rough sketch I did in Art class when we started on our Portrait unit. It is a girl. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/saber.gif

When you see the next one, you may notice a difference in head size, the back of the head juts out a bit for the later pic. This is because after I had created the second, I realized that the first time I had drawn the picture, I had made the back of the head to... outward, and so I changed the first one to a more normal... thing. Sadly, since the second one was in marker, there was no way for me to fix it. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blush.gif

Greedo Boy
02-22-2004, 12:08 PM
This is one is a copy of the original and has been gone over with marker. Now mind you, this was done for a Cut-Paper project we're doing, so I didn't try to make it too perfect. In my opinion, it looks more like a middle-aged woman than a young teenage girl. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/giveup.gif

I just thought I'd add this one too. This is a drawing of what's under one of the sinks in Leia and My bathroom. Sadly, in the scanning process, some of it was cut away, and it doesn't really look as good as it does in real life. Ah well...

These are some Space Ship designs I came up with many months ago and have finally decided to staple up here. From top to bottom there is a Standard Fighter, a Sub or Gunboat (I haven't decided), a Troop Transport for both void and atmospherical flight, a Frigate, and an Assault Gunboat. The only ones I really like are the top three. I consider the other two to be too akward or boxyish. Mind you, these are not drawn to scale.

Oh yes, the little bulges you'll notice on the surfaces of the Crafts, those are gun emplacements.

Greedo Boy

These next ten are the newest in my chain of Battle Mechs. All of these have been built with a revolutionary (for me) new technique. I have managed to divide the legs and torso so that they can rotate separate of one another. This not only made them more like the 'Mechs in the game, but allowed more creativity on my part. This one here is one of my favorites as of yet. You can look up pictures of the 'Mechs on google images, if you wanted to compare and contrast. But why you'd want to spend time on that, I do not know. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/giveup.gif

Greedo Boy
04-04-2004, 07:43 PM
This one and the one three posts down after it are modelled after the Kit Fox 'Mech, an tidbit of trivia...

Forgive the lack of continuity in pictures, but I've got three windows up to hasten the process, and I'm getting a little mixed up...

Greedo Boy
04-04-2004, 07:46 PM
Here we have the largest of the 'Mechs I've built in the chain. I think it was supposed to be a Catapult 'Mech, but to me it looks more like a Vulture. The next one is the same make, but downsized a level, meaning it's the second largest 'Mech.

Greedo Boy
04-04-2004, 07:46 PM
Vulture Number Two...

Greedo Boy
04-04-2004, 07:47 PM
The other Kit Fox, but to a more grayish coloring.

Greedo Boy
04-04-2004, 07:54 PM
This one is and was an attempt to recreate the Belial/Uziel, but it pretty much flapped and died. I just couldn't figure it out. Actually, the first 'Mech I posted looked more like the intended product than this one did!

Greedo Boy
04-04-2004, 07:54 PM
This is the first 'Mech I built that featured the swivel ability. There are two of these, but showing both would be a waste of time. The next one is a variant. I like to call this one the Cougar, even though it looks nothing like the actually Cougar in the game.

style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/trooper.gif

Greedo Boy
04-04-2004, 07:54 PM
Here is the variant. I call it a Zombie, seeing as how it's been cobbled together from pieces from differently colored sets.

Greedo Boy
04-04-2004, 07:56 PM
This one's not modelled after anything, just me putting stuff together as I fancy.

Greedo Boy
04-04-2004, 07:56 PM
Another flight of fancy...

Greedo Boy
04-04-2004, 08:23 PM
This one I forgot to take a picture of, and so I'm adding it late and out of place. It's modelled after the Uller 'Mech, which is just like the Kit Fox. My Kit Foxes were built after this one, and in my opinion, they look better. The only real difference is in the guns though... but that can make all the difference, asthetically speaking. (or however you spell it)

Well, I guess it's time to show you one of my oldest passions. Lego building! This is my most recent castle, although it's months and months old. I just now got around to photographing it and cataloguing it in here. I'm actually surprised it's lasted so long. I got careless with it a while back and destroyed the bridge and one of the towers, but I rebuilt it and here it is!

I'll post some better lit close ups in just a minute.

The LAA/L or what ever there called the Republic gunships.

How about Mad Cat form Mec 3

Greedo Boy
05-25-2004, 07:19 AM
Funny that you should ask about the Mad Cat. I built one of those for my earlier 'Mech chain, and it's the only one I didn't scrap. Never got around to cataloguing it... style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/scratchchin.gif

So you're asking for a New Republic Walker, Gunship, and a Mad Cat, correct?

05-25-2004, 04:52 PM
Yes.

Greedo Boy
05-25-2004, 09:27 PM

And just so you know, creating these things will take a while. I have to dismantle former creations to proceed to new ones. I like to keep my creations around for a while so I can enjoy them. Especially ones which I know I'll never be able to create again. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif

Okay, now I'm gonna show four new Dropships I've built. The first two are twins. The design was inspired when my friend built a little something out of connects, then I built an improvement of what he built, and then I built my version to a much larger scale.

The third is a larger and improved version of something I built a while back, I had to go from memory. It resembles a Republic Gunship, but I'm not sure if that's what inspired the first thing I built... What's interesting is that the sides, front, and back can open up, supposedly to release troops... but really that was the most logical way for me to be able to put it together.

The fourth and fifth are one ship. I built this so I could have a counterpart for the first two dropships. It's pretty much inspired by the Dropship from Aliens.

And the last is just a group shot, the way I like to close up things.

Okay, it's been some time, but now I'm back, and I've got lots of stuff to show from what I've been doing in my Computer Graphics class. Right now I've only got two works I made using Bryce5, but the others will be soon in coming.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v318/Tylerstuff/Planes.jpg
This shot I created last monday when we first began use of Bryce. The teacher told us to just play around, so naturally I intended to make something that looked really cool, and I believe I succeeded nicely.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v318/Tylerstuff/MechsandPlanes.jpg
Here we have a conglomerate of projects. The 'Mechs are part of a robot sub-assignment that I started on wednesday and finished friday. I wanted another cool looking shot so I brought in the Planes and voila, 'Mechs (Blue Team) versus Planes (Gold Team).

I love this program...!!

What say I post some images of my actual ships, eh?

First is the M8-Class Dreadnaught, the largest ship in the UEF Fleet. (blue-light ships, used to be the black and blue[ish] ships earlier, but now they're better)

Next is the HG-Class Battlecruiser, which was actually the first ship I made along my new lines of contruction. (again, meaning the blue-light stuff) Pretty much a complete overhaul in construction and texture methods.

After that is a comparison shot of the Dreadnaught and Battlecruiser.

I posted under the Star Wars Design Alliance thread, but thought I'd do it here too.

I wanted to find someone willing to take the work of Frank Bonura and others (which I give ALL the credit for, as all I did was save file as on my harddrive) and make alterations to produce a ship I need for a fanfic and other stuff I'm doing.

I can't draw on computers, and have no other usable computer talents at all. All I know how to do is push the on button and click on a few things. I can't even figure out how to clean my computer and keep it safe from spyware (what is spyware anyways?).

Here's an image, and what I want follows.

18766

18767

18768

I'm looking for faster ion drives, better shields, slightly thicker hull plating, an extended master cabin converted into a war room with a small holo projecting table at its center, an improved sensor package, and two dorsal/two ventral quad laser turrets (one forward, one back on top and bottom).
Anyone willing to tackle this task? Post or PM me to let me know if you want to try it out and how you're doing.
And again, the creators of these wonderful images are Frank Bonura, and others listed on the images and involved in the project. I had nothing to do with the creation of these masterpieces.
