I think they'd take one look at our leaders: Bush, Howard, ect, and give us up for a lost cause.

Earth is already in the Star Wars universe.

There were ETs in the Senate and ET landed on Earth, therefore Earth exists in that realm.

Like, duh! :p

Blizzard, I never thought about that.

But wait....Star Wars took place "a long time ago" and E.T. came to Earth in the '80s, so the E.T. senators would not have known about Earth at the time of Episode I.

It still existed. Maybe we are in the Unknown Regions?

Yeah, sometimes I think too much. * style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/scratchchin.gif

Sometimes I consider Coruscant to be what Earth will become. Other then that, the Unknown Regions works.

Weirder yet, just imagine the surprise on the Republic explorer's faces when they see that we've been making movies about them all along.

Of course we would be in unknown regions, we would be in a different galaxy! But we (earth) would still exist in the same universe that Star Wars does.

Hey, if the ET that came to earth could make things float does that mean he's a jedi?

Also, in Close Encounters of the Third Kind you can see Artoo Detoo on the outside of the mother ship.

ET, a Jedi? *Well, the thought had crossed my mind before, but everyone I mentioned it to laughed at me. *It's good to know someone else has thought of that. *I'd like to see an ET Jedi in E3. *

Speaking of Artoo, he and Threepio can be seen in the Egyptian hyroglyphics in Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. *So there's your, "long time ago." * style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

I had this idea that Earth's home sun was going to go nova. So they built this massive ship and sent the last of the human race to a place where they could start over. Only thing is, that world they colonized eventually became Coruscant.

Just a thought.

(Y'know with all the sarcastic ranting I do, between my last post here and say, some of my recent posts on the "What will we do after Ep. III?" thread, People are going to think I'm a couple of Sith short of a Death Star. Oh well.) :look:

Has everyone forgotten the tag-line "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away".
Which makes me think A its 'already happend' and B in a different galaxy so they couldn't stumble on Earth!

Okay, here's the deal,

On Earth's term of measurments, even if the SW galaxy existd in the Milky-Way, it would be considered "Far, far away".

And, not only would Earth be situated in the unknown-regions, but it is also located right at the tip of the galaxy, making it a membert of the unknown-region's outer-rim.

It's not that very hard to imagnine it if you put it in our human standpoints. Plus, what if Earth was represented in the Galactic Senate in our ancient days a long...long...time ago.
ex.(Pyramids...many more wonders of the ancient worlds.)

But, once the Empire rose, we succeded from the galactic government, and eventually lost all ties to it. It only makes you wonder...doesn't it. I for one believe that life does exist out there. And one day, we will hopefully contact them, and we can have our own SW galaxy thing going on. See ya.

1)The wars happened a long time ago, but the Star Wars galaxy might still exist.

2)Different galaxy maybe, but the same universe? Just remember, a universe is made up of many, many galaxies. :p

Here's a scary thought;

What if the EU New Jedi Order novels were real too. What if the Yuzhaan Vong were to befall us?

I personally think we'd all be Yammosk droppings shortly there-after. :skull:

Luvinna.
08-26-2002, 01:58 PM
Okay, even if the EU NJO was real, and the Yuuzhan Vong did try to take our galaxy over, too, remember what Clara pointed out. *The wars were a long time ago. *So was the NJO, because that's only 25 years or so after the Rebellion. *So whatever happened to the Yuuzhan Vong (which we don't know yet because the series isn't over) is going to determine whether or not they try to take over our galaxy. *

Did any of that make sense? *It sounded good in my head before I started typing it out. * :look: * Anyway, my point is that we maybe ought to wait and see what happens in the NJO before we start worrying about extra-galactical invaders. * style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

To quote the words of Carl Sagan's Contact, "If it is just us, it seems like an awful waste of space."

All I gotta say in this topic: if Earth was ever represented in the Senate by Egyptians (who tried very very hard to imitate Coruscant's high risers with their own relatively dinky pyramids), then we as Earthlings were probably shunned away from that enlightened society. Jedi Council must have been like: "No use protecting those barabaric creatures, they wont have anti-grav for another 34235 years."
