I'm going to vote for Boromir

Boromir. I'll always remember this "my brother, my captain, my king" stuff.

Can't you think of any other movie deaths? Why not the great films like Marlon Brando is the Godfather? And the others.

Vader would be mine - self sacrifice is always appealing.

ya - what about Bomb #20 in Dark Star :p

I voted Boromir. Getting shot with so many arrows has gotta hurt. I am a huge Star Wars fan, but I am also a huge LOTR fan too. :tears:

Where's Darth Maul? I'll never forget the first time i watched the PM how much I laughed when he got cut and two and fell down the hole.

Anyway, I voted for Boromir. Getting hit with so many arrows(three, but still would hurt) has gotta hurt. :tears:

OK apparently I'm the first person to vote for Qui-gon's death. Really really sad :tears: and also set in motion a whole chain of events that will be Star Wars. Although I almost voted for Jack from Titanic because that movie was just so..... weird and cheesy and corny and try-too-hard-y to be memorable. "Never (shiver shiver) let (teeth chatter, teeth chatter) go (die die and then she lets go and his body like sinks or something. Gee maybe I SHOULD have voted for that. Sign against evil.)" ;)

Would you beileve me if i said Oola from return of the jedi?

I said Boromir. Three arrows and to go on fighting takes guts, and he came through loyal in the end. The 'over the waterfall' bit was touching and etched into my mind.

Vader, but Boromir's was also very memorable I love that he manged to continue to kill Orcs until the 3rd arrow hit him.

The Darth Vader dying part really touched me, but I voted Boromir because I'm still on the verge of tears everytime I see the death scene. I think the soundtrack did me in.

Ripley the Warmaster

I'd say Vader's, Ripley's, Boromir's, and Guvner Arnold's in T2.

Pulp Fiction - "I shot Marvin in the face."

De Niro's death in Heat.

The music is powerful and it is so fitting that Pacino's character, after shooting him, walks up and holds his hand while he dies to show the respect their character's had for each other.

That's one of my favorites.

Other classics that didn't make the list:

*Robert Shaw's death in Jaws
*Pacino's death in Scarface
*The entire opening sequence of Saving Private Ryan
*Alec Guiness' death in The Bridge on the River Kwai
*Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda's deaths in Easy Rider
*James Caan's death in The Godfather

But the most memorable movie death of all is probably Janet Leigh's in Psycho.

The Biker Scout who got distracted at Leia and smashed into a tree stump - silly bugger.

Call me sick but it was amusing (not that this is meant to be a terribly amusing thread, I know, but i find it memorable)

well... I'm a girl, so this will be a typical girlie answer:

1.- Darth Vader <----- undescribable.
2.- The kid from "Pay it foward" <----- makes me cry a lot every time.
3.- Satine from "Moulin Rouge" <----- makes me cry ....

I also think Mace Windu will be on my list. Also, how about Bruce Willis's character in Armageddon, or Mel Gibson in Braveheart? I dunno, I'm just trying to think of some.
