In late 2003, ChronoRadio held a contest to see which ChronoRadio listener would have their original prose story crafted into the fourth "enhanced audiobook" in the ChronoRadio: Serial Edition series. When the contest ended on January 18, 2004, the winner was Michael Galasso, with his short story about a Bothan CorSec agent, entitled Matted.

The basic genesis of Matted was my urge to continue the story of Fel Ker'tya. Fel was my longtime SWRPG character, and while the star of Matted may not be the same Old Republic Jedi that my pen-and-paper Fel was, he does share his namesake's somewhat brash personality and headstrong nature.
Further influence behind this project was my urge to bring back the character of Kirtan Loor. I loved Loor in the X-Wing series by Michael A. Stackpole, and decided that since I wanted to make use of CorSec and Corellia as a setting for my piece, it would make some sense to have Loor be the antagonist. This also allowed me to hammer down a time period for the story quickly.
A big thank you to everyone involved in the making of Matted, you truly bring the characters to life in ways no one else could. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif
