Hi all; my name is Jeff Driscoll and I am the Producer of Crossed Galaxies (http://www.njoe.com/~cg/), an ambitious fan fiction project crossing Star Trek's Voyager and Next Generation with the Yuuzhan Vong, Star Wars' horrifying villians from the New Jedi Order book series. In an effort to expand ourselves and become more than your average fan-fiction project (aside from already being a cross over), we are attempting to put together a 3D Animation movie detailing the last big battle of Season 2 to coincide with the story's release. Several of the characters from the animated movie also will carry over into a forthcoming Audio Drama - final confirmation of which parts carry over and a final voice list at all are forthcoming (upon ... erm... completion of the script), so some level of committment may be/will be required for certain characters; to be willing to reprise the character in a few months.

Characters marked with an * are prior created characters that have an estalished voice (mostly from Star Trek); mimics must be pretty close.
Characters marked with an ^ will definatly be reprised in the audio drama.

-Admiral Owen Paris* (male, human)
-Captain Jean-Luc Picard (optional part; lines can be transferred)* (male, human)
-Captain Kathryn Janeway*^ (female, human)
-Captain Rain Correy^ (female, human)(possibly cast)
-Lieutenant Reginald Barclay* (male, human)
-Lieutenant Tom Paris* (male, human)
-Warmaster Shimrra (male, Yuuzhan Vong)
-"Unannounced Voice" (various) (chances are all voice actors will be asked to record this line)
-Federation President (not pre-standing; ideally an older sounding male)

Thank you; I appreciate the chance to place this call. Interest applicants should contact crossedgalaxies@njoe.com for more information or are welcome to ask in this thread.

EDIT: Whoops! I forgot to list the Federation President. And on that note, unfortunatly I've got to make this an all or none thing - I had already resigned to doing the dialogue via subtiles and letting the music carry the emotion the lines should, but then I stumbled on here and figured it was worth a shot.

I've emailed you.

I got it; thank you and replied.

I forgot a part and a note that I edited into the bottom of my original post. Stupid me ... lucky I thought of it though - that would have been an awkward situation when I was missing a recorded line! lol

You're probably going to have some trouble with casting, just so you know. Casting established voices is VERY difficult to pull off. It *can* be done, but usually it's done on a small scale with only a tiny portion of the parts needing to match a previously established actor's voice.

Personally, I don't see any up there I could even reasonably pull off, and I think that's a reaction a lot of folks are going to have. You might end up having to try some Trek message boards to get that one done.

Well therein lies the problem - I've tried all the major Trek boards that I can think of. I was actually in contact with someone who I'm told can pull off a very reasonably accurate Janeway, but I can't get back in touch with her. Quite disappointing. *shrug*

Your other option would be to find decent approximations, but not direct impressions, then you can use the dialogue to denote characters. I mean, hell, any time you hear an audioBOOK rather than audio DRAMA, you have one person reading all parts, and the message still gets across.

Hmm...didnt' realize you'd left thi thread open -- please close it. The project has been scrapped.

I'll do so, and I'll post a note about the new project and that this one is done for the next time I update the site, likely tomorrow.
