Ok, my dad hooked up the scanner!! My original is pretty faint and the scanner was having some problems so I apologize for the poor quality of the image. Justin gave me a good suggestion and I'll ink a copy and rescan it later.

well, I did it over the course of a couple of days. I was unhappy with Paul's eye and messed with it unfortunately style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif The original is in my sig, you can see the difference.
Oh and speaking of stuff from my head, here's a really bad one I did in ninth grade! It started as just an Egyptian eye and then I just decided to do the rest. When I try to do things off the top of my head they tend to be a bit cartoony... Justin says she's too buff which is pretty much true... oh well style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif
I did it on the back of a poem we had to analyze in World Civ, you can see the lettering in the scan! lol

I attempted a small amount of shading on her nose and now it looks like she's drunk or something... damn the smudginess of pastels!! (but my colored pencil rendition looked even worse, so I guess I can't win)

Well i wanted a picture for my Oola story i was doing. When the forum for Fanfics was cleaned out i decided to forget it. But i think i'll start it up again.
Later in the story she becomes pregnant, and i wanted a pic of her like that.
I might be able to do a regular old Oola... actually I might not even be able to do that... I don't think I've got a very good handle on human anatomy yet... I could do her face

ok, here's a painting I did in 9th grade for my Art paper presentation (Anthony van Dyck). It was too big, so I scanned it in two parts. I said color in a verb sense, not adjective. So color could refer to "painting" as well. Sorry. It's that southern Texas thing I've got... wait, I don't even have an accent. What am I talking about?
I don't know, when I think color, I think crayons and colored pencils... Like, filling in the lines kind of thing. You draw the outline and then you color it. Painting doesn't really work that way...

Well, only one Star Wars drawing (the title is Star Wars artwork...). I posted other drawings.
Speaking of other drawings, I did one today!! Alright, who is it, what movie, and what scene?? lol. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif And should I do the top of her head or keep it cropped as it is? This is the way it is in the original pic, but I could do the rest of her head if anyone feels it to be necessary
And Justin, the reason it is so long is that I have at least two devoted fans of my artwork who keep posting! lol

I did her head! I had a hard time of it, there isn't anywhere in the movie with that exact pose that shows the top of her head! lol... So I used one that's sort of the right angle that showed her hairline, and another that was the exact opposite of what I wanted to do the very top of her head style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif I had to go like frame by frame through the entire scene... lol So I hope it looks realistic ???

I can change it myself, I've discovered. But I think I'll keep it the way it is. I changed the description.
Alright, yesterday I went out and bought myself pencils and drawing paper! And went to the library for some pencil drawing sort of books... I started doing one eye of Legolas on my sketch paper and then got kind of carried away. Unfortunately it looks nothing like Orlando Bloom... But I started going about the drawing differently than I usually do so... whatever. The nose is much too long and straight and I couldn't figure out how to do the eyebrows (I can't see very much detail in the pic I was using). But it's only a sketch, so now I know what to fix for the real drawing.
And the eyes in the original are much lighter. The scan did something funky...

I wouldn't be worried about the Tw'lek's headcovering being so big, she might be using it to store valubale items, since she's naked and has no pockets.
Nice work, Leia. I like her a lot. She looks African American in her features, IMO. Her cheeks and eyes say that to me. (Do they call them African Americans in the SW galaxy? Probably not, LOL)
The baby shot is beautiful, and the baby looks dead on perfectly drawn in the facial area, particularly the area under and around the eyes, and the rounded cheek bones. Although IMHO you used too much shading in the baby face to the point that it looks like his face is dirty. But I can't draw people well at all, and I sure can't draw babies if my life depended on it, so my hat's off to you! style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

Or I might have done it, I really don't know, it was 5 years ago, ok?? I know I at least did the rough sketch of the baby! lol
Ok, I just finished this about an hour ago! I think it took me about 2 hours... I did it on my brand new drawing paper with my brand new graphite pencils! style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif It's supposed to be Paul McCartney.
The reason there's no shading and not much definition in his features is because in the original, all of his features are washed out! I guess he must have had a really bright light on his face or something... And also I had to reduce the rez on the image cause otherwise it doesn't fit here...

I forget when I sat down to start, but it was in the early afternoon. I paused my DVD player on the part where everybody's in Loth Lorien and I've been staring at the screen for ages... The only thing I insist on is that you fill out their hair a bit more. You always put the hair closer to their head than it's supposed to be, and therefore make the drawing a bit out of whack. But otherwise it's pretty good. But I think Faramir isn't as good as the others.
Their hair is not out of whack! I use reference photos ok? So I know if the hair isn't right. The reason the left side of Pippin's hair is less than the right side is because he's turned away from us on that side. If I'd made both sides equal it would have looked completely unnatural style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif Oh, and thanks for the support on Faramir

I took the leia scan from the first page. I finished cleaning and extracting the outlines from it so i can enchance and paint under it.
um, did you take the first Leia or the second Leia?? The second one might have been easier to deal with...
or I could scan in a better version. I've become better aquainted with my scanning program, and I could probably post something better (I just said better way too many times style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif )
If anybody wants to go back a page and check out the edit of Faramir... I had sort of fixed his hair a while back, but for some reason I never updated the picture.
