I was just wondering, are the comics picture by picture things? Are they like a normal cartoon or whatever? Please tell me.. thanks. May the Force be with you! ;)

I've only read the Union series, but the comics are just like regular comics. Pictures with world bubbles. The drawings are very good.

The quality ranges from brilliant to awful. I'd recomend :
Chewbacca
Union
Dark Empire 1
The Thrawn Trilogy adaptations (altough DFR wasn't that good)
the entire X-Wing series
Mara Jade - By The Emperor's Hand
Twilight
Darkness
Dark Lords of the Sith
Redemption.

Those were the ones I really liked!

I love the entire Tales of the Jedi Series, which tells of Jedi history thousands of years before the movies... the Ulic series : Knights of the Old Republic, Dark Lords of the Sith, the Sith War, and Redemption are some of my favorite all time EU stories. There are also two series that explain the origins of the Sith and the war with the Sith empire.... they were fun but the characters and story didn't touch me deeply like Ulic's.

The comics are sort of like comic strips, but presented in a full-page format, without set panel sizes. You read it as if you were reading, say, Garfield or somesuch. Much of the story is conveyed in the images rather than words, and there tends to be very little narration.

Is that what you were asking, Ronetta?

They aren't like Sunday comic strips though... they're full graphic stories, like your your standard comic book.

Yes, and no.

Most of them are full comics. There are, however, collected editions called "Classic Star Wars" that collect the old daily/weekly strips into one volume. Those are the exception, though.

I read about "The Valentine Story" at the offical Dark Horse Comics web site. The comics I'm looking out for though are the "Jedi Academy: Leviathon". I want ones with Kyppy... eh, Kyp Durron in them
