I think Tahiri, Lando, and Kyp aren't going to make it past TUF, the Unifying Force.

I'd like to see Luke sacrifice himself, but I guess that won't happen...

I really don't want them to kill of Mara (if that happens I'm burning the book and not buying any EU stuff that takes place after it !!! ) , Corann, Jaina, Ben, Han, Leia, Wedge, Tycho, Wes, and Hobbie.


I wouldn't mind seeing dead Kam and Tionne (apsolutley no use for them), Jacen (ditto, but I haven't read Traitor yet so I might change my mind), Jag Fel (there's something I don't like about him, don't know what) and Tsavong Lah (is it just me or is he the Admiral Daala of the Yuuhzan Vong?).

Destiney's way desceription says Admiral Ackbar is an "ailing hero" so I think he probably will die.

Ok, sorry to bug y'all, but I haven't even read Star by Star yet nor anything past it. However, I read a Traitor excerpt, and I just want to know how Anakin dies. What book is it in, and how does it happen?

Ani's death is in SBS--and its one of those deaths that is better off being read..but if you hope over to the General NJO thread and say hey..i'll see if i can explain it over there..b/c i don't know if this is a spoiler section and something that major may bestill ruining it for others..

the best part of the book thoughi would say is reading the heartwrenching reaction of Leia, Han, andLuke to the death..its incredible writing!

I don't want him to die, I'm actually cheering for him and Jaina to be together, but I think his character is being molded for a final sacrifice in The Unifying Force . Think about it - he's been to the darkside, gone back, became an idiot, changed and his final act of redemption will probably be a sacrifice. It just seems to be a logical end for his character.

Kyp is one of my favorite characters, but most people don't look at the good that hes done, and just focuses on the blowing up of stars and what not. I always thought the title Star by Star was a clue that the Sun Crusher or something like it was coming back, but unlucky me, it wasn't whta I'd hoped, but I don't think Kyp is goig to make it.

I don't look at what he did with the Sun Crusher as my reasoning for not liking him. His whole character has just rubbed me the wrong way. I felt sorry for him at the beginning, but I never really fell for him.

Then when he started copping attitude with Luke, that just blew it for me...

I'm with you RM! *I think Jag is so much cooler than Kyp. *And I like the way Jag's character has changed since he threw his lot in with the "rebels". *

What I want to know is, why does every one think Tahiri should die? She has too much knowledge of the Yuuzhan Vong to be killed.

I think she'll die 'cause she's been acting all weird since Anakin died, and master Ikrit said that they'll do a great deed together, so I think she'll sacrifice herself with Anakin's help somehow and join him in the world beyond. Think about it, Anakin ws the only person close to her in her life, she doesn't have anyone else.

They did the 'powerful deed' together later on in that book if i remember correctly, or it may have been the book after i'm not sure.

Also I don't think they should kill Tahiri off, she's getting to be an interesting character, plus if they kill too many off they'll all have to be newbies in post-NJO books and I want some already established characters that aren't new, but havent been around long to read about.

Tahiri can't die. She is to nice of a character and I can see her becoming a great Jedi and one of Jaina's closest friends.

I agree, Tahiri is much too valuable to everyone to be killed. I also have trouble believing Anakin is dead, but *Dark Journey spoiler* ***they did cremate him so I'm not so sure anymore.*** I think Lando and Tendra are goners, and so is Kyp and Jag. As much as I realllllyy like Jag (as in a lot, and if he were only real...) I don't think he'll make it. I think that the background Zekk and Jaina have will prevent him from getting anywhere. Ben, Luke, Mara, Leia, Han, Jaina, and Tenel Ka definately cannot die. No way José !! Jaina has to survive to kick Vong butt, Tenel Ka has to survive to become Jacen's one and only true love, Ben, Luke, Mara, Leia, Han, self explanatory. I'm also hoping that Mirax and Corran Horn survive, and their son to. Corran's already been "fake" dead twice.

I look at it this way...IF they were to bring Anakin SOlo back as flesh and blood...The EU will lose all credibility...I too for a time thought that there was no way that he was truly dead...I thought "OK really reallllly deep healing trance" and then they cremated him in a Jedi funeral...well there went that theory...Its just wayyyyy to late in the game to bring him back...

Now, technically, they didn't cremate him. Cremating means burning the body. Anakin's body didn't burn. There was the whole "the instant the flame touched his body, it disapeared." I don't buy that. That's something we've never seen before.

I'm VERY afraid that Kyp will die, though I am praying that he does not. He is one of my favorite characters who still has so much potential for growth, if the authors ever see it.

I was hoping that Ganner's "None Shalll Pass" was sort of propheticly telling us that no more Jedi will die.
