does anyone know any bands that relate to star wars? the only one i know is Nerf Herder (they are punk so of course i would know that).

i know a lot of other bands that have star wars related songs, or have something Star Wars in their songs, like Blink 182- A New Hope, Weird Al Yankovic- the Saga Begins (hehe.)

anymore? just wondering, because i'm strange like that.

there's one on jedinet.com. i don't remember the exact address though. but you can go find it!! there's also one on theforce.net in the humor section.

there's another song i like called "star wars cantina" by mark jonathan davis (its not punk! gasp!)

and there's a song called "far far away (the star wars song)" by ultimate fakebook (yes its punk. hehe)

There is a french rap band from Marseille called IAM that has made a song about Star Wars. It is called L'Empire Du Côté Obscur or, in English The Dark Side Empire.

Oh and there is also this Song Of A Jedi by the band Dyonisos.

Well IAM is very, very famous in France and the song was too when it came out some years ago.

For Dyonisos, well I'd say that I've never heard about them before the Song Of A Jedi but the song has now became quite famous. It came out only in June this year.

OK, here is a link to a french site that allow you to hear a ( very short ) extract of the song. Click on the little yellow icon just under the word Extrait.

The first word you'll hear are not in the text. It basically means A dark corridor, a music coming out of a door,... After that you'll hear Palpatine telling C'est le Côté Obscur de la Force; in english It's the Dark Side of the Force, and finally you'll hear the two or three first sentences of the song.

Beware. It's french rap. I think you will not like these 20 seconds.

the oc supertones have a lot of star wars references in their songs. (yes yes punk ska band. haha). and on mp3.com there is a lot more star wars related bands like twin sister. there was this star wars insider that had all these star wars related bands and stuff in there from like two years ago. yes yes, i keep all my magazines no matter how old they are. haha.

Starwarspunk, I'm just curious. *Do you think that Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit, Crazy Town, Dashboard Confesional, and other crap they play on the radio these days is punk rock? *Because some of the bands you've mentioned (ultimate fakebook, Nerf Herder) are not punk. *If you want to hear some real punk, check out some U.S. Bombs, The Unseen, or The Clash (their old stuff is punk, but it's all good).

Um, this has already been mentioned before in another thread somewhere else, but I'll just go ahead and say it again. There is a band called "Red Five", and they're actually pretty good. It's a rock band with punk roots and female vocals.

Plus, there is a band called "Ozma" that has a song called "Natalie Portman"; everyone should check these guys out, they're so good. They opened for Weezer a couple of years ago, and I must say I was quite impressed.

Yeah, Ozma played at Warped Tour; I didn't get to go either. I really wanted to though; I missed out on Tiger Army, Flogging Molly, and Ozma, and oh yeah The Casualties (they're cheesy but it woulda' been a good show). Oh well, maybe next year.
