I found StarWarsFanWorks.com in a general search of Star Wars stuff and became intrigued. I've listened a bit to the Second strike drama and I really dig the format. Brings back some memories of listening to the Star Wars drama.
I've done some searches for sound f/x on the net and I didn't see any starwars type stuff out there. Where can you find sf/x that are royalty free?

Well, that really depends. If you're looking for real, original, licensed or freeware stuff, you'll be hard pressed to find those types of SW sounds unless you're intending on making a fan film for AtomFilms, in which case you can use their selection.
However, fan productions (fan films and fan audio projects) tend to be given a blind eye when it comes to the use of sound effects and music, so long as they're not making any money. For that, I'd say just scour the web. Last I checked, JediNet and a few other places had SW sounds available. If nothing else, just capture them yourself from DVDs or QT files. Many of the sound effects for Second Strike came from the Dark Empire audio drama.

Excellent thanks, I talked it over with a couple of friends of mine and we wanted to try to do an audio drama. We're going to try a test setup.
We're looking to do just a short scene from ANH. Just to get the process down. Then try to move on to an actual episode.
