Actually, I think Anakin's and Padme's relationship would have been more effective if they hadn't said those things.

AotC - The akward conversation after the dinner in the lake country. After we flash back from Obi, bathroom break. So, out of my 8 viewing, I've only seen the dominatrix outfit scene maybe 4 times.

Certainly.

He's the leader of a religious/spiritual Order. He is required by his position to be compassionate, fatherly and attentive to the needs of his students, associates and even those (less enlightened folks) who are outside of the Order.
