If I didn't already have a bad feeling about the PT:
"I was wondering, what are midchlorians?" Jake Lloyd, TPM,
In fact any line referring to midichlorians spoils the whole force concept, not to mention treading dangerously thin scientific ice... style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/saber.gif
Luvinna.

Without the midichlorians, life could not exist, and we would have no knowledge of the Force. *-- Qui-gon Jinn
Is that an oxymoron, or what? :dunce:

I thought "Always a pleasure to meet a Jedi" was a cool line, one of very few in Attack of the Clones.
All of the "romantic" (i.e. "my heart is beating, praying that kiss won't become a scar" and "I've been dying a little each day since you came back into my life") lines between Anakin and Padme.
Actually, I think Anakin's and Padme's relationship would have been more effective if they hadn't said those things.

I think "blast" is a corny cuss word. * *Is that the generic cuss word in the SW galaxy? *That would make Mace Windu a bad-blast mother blaster.
Han Solo after coming out of hyperspace in the Alderaan system, "What the blast?"
At least Battlestar Galactica had the cooler cuss word "frack!"
Young Anakin should have told Sebulba in TPM, "Kiss my blaster, blast head!"
JediKeri.

I thought 3po's line, "this is such a drag" was funny. I mean, Artoo was dragging his head across the sand.

Hey, I liked Kid Anakin. More than I liked Physically-But-Not-Emotionally Grown Up Anakin. But you're right, the "yippee"s were annoying. But that's George Lucas' fault.

I still like that scene but my Dad did the same thing. He got up like two or three times.
Now the fireplace scene was so lame.

More of these keep coming to mind...
Actually, anything Ani's friends said in TPM like:
"You're such a joker Ani"
"Come on, let's play ball"
I know they're child actors (with the exception of Wald's Warwick Davis) but still, those lines bugged me.
Most of the ones i hate have been mentioned (mainly young Anakin lines). I know Jake Lloyd was given poor lines but i just hate the way hes says things like "ooops."

Stupid Star Wars Quotes?
I think we've all forgotten the obvious one;
"Carrie!" When Luke got out of the X-wing at the end of ANH, and Mark Hammil misspoke his lines.
that and any line spoken by Jar Jar Binks. I don't know how anyone can be annoyed by Ewoks when we've got the Gungans.

Its amazing that people dislike the love part of AOTC but Titanics love story is pretty much as unbelievable also and they knew each other a less amount of time.
anyway,I hate the way Anakin says "Your gonna pay for all the Jedi you killed today,Dooku"it sounded like he didnt mean it

Do whatever you want, in the privacy of your own home, but walking out of the theater to get POPCORN, when there's a perfectly good Star Wars flick on the big screen? Outrageous! Absolutely outrageous.

I don't know about the less amount of time, but you may want to know that some people hate both the AotC and the Titanic stories.[/quote]
I understand that Meche I was saying that there are alot of other movies that has supposed Love themes in them and I mean alot and they only knew each other way,way less.
But you have a point I dont necesarrly like it in AOTC but I dont despise it either
Kafer
08-17-2002, 11:27 PM
Okay, repeated viewings and this has bugged me everytime.
"Are you all right m'lady?" Dorme AotC
That whole scene. Again some bad editing choices. It should have been. Anakin runs in, cuts the bugs in half, Obi jumps out the window, Anakin running out saying, "Stay there." and either follow Anakin to the speeder or more of obi and the droid. No stupid, "Are you all right m'lady."
Kafer
08-17-2002, 11:30 PM
Oh, and my cues in SW films. In TPM, After the pod race, after Obi and the Pathetic Life Form scene, then, bathroom break.
AotC - The akward conversation after the dinner in the lake country. After we flash back from Obi, bathroom break. So, out of my 8 viewing, I've only seen the dominatrix outfit scene maybe 4 times.

Yeah, that would have been good, only it didn't really happen, it just sounds like it. He just mumbles Hurray or something and it comes out funny.

A 'modified version'?
What do you mean? (Maybe 'blasted'? Like 'You blasted ingrate!', or simply, 'You blasted...'?)
Anyway, I think 'blast' first began to creep into my vocabulary a few years back, when I saw Jumanji (of all movies) and that Great White Hunter-type dude used it (of course, many years before that, I heard it in Star Wars, but I never said it).
It must have been the 'Englishness' of the way he said it; it was just cool!
Well, I only used to use it sparingly before, but since Ep. II came out, I just can't stop using it.

I have been saying "blast" since I can remember.
In TPM Qui-Gon says to Obi-wan that they will need a navigator to guide them through the planet core. A little later
he tells Jar-Jar (the navigator) that the force would guide them.
I think one of these lines should go.

I just remembered it today:
"Seeing you again brings great joy to my heart."
-Yoda
I really thought we didnt ever need to see Yoda's affectionate side. I mean, when in the OT did we need to see it? Never! Like a comedian we have already seen YOda in ESB. But a caring fatherlike figure? He should have said somethin more professional like:
"Of the great tragedy on the platform we have heard. Happy we are to see you well, Amidala."
I thought "Blast" played well only because I cant figure out another word to used instead.
"Shucks, this is why I hate flying!"?
"Shoot, this is why I hate fliying!"?
"Jumpin Jar Jar, this is why I hate flying!"?

"I love democracy..." Palpy in AotC.
I hate this quote.
or
"I have a bad feeling about this." Anakin in AotC. I actually like this sentence, but from Anakin...well...
I absolutely love Obi's "blast"! I can't live a hour without using word "blast". And this "englishness" is great.

Certainly.
He's the leader of a religious/spiritual Order. He is required by his position to be compassionate, fatherly and attentive to the needs of his students, associates and even those (less enlightened folks) who are outside of the Order. I'm sure the Pope and the Dalai Lama say stuff like that constantly...

Oh right I'd forgotten that.... Mixed messages, that should REALLY go. And for more stupid lines: Well I can't think of the specifics right now, but I found pretty much EVERYTHING the battle droids say to be irritating. Or maybe I'm just mixing it up with the Phantom Menace computer game? It's late.
