"Saving Star Wars" Official Site (http://www.savingstarwars.com)

Filming is almost finished for this film, but I thought I'd go ahead a put a plug in for this project. I'm not involved with it, but a lot of my friends from 501st Bloodfin Garrison (http://www.bloodfingarrison.com/) & the Indy Knights (http://www.indyknights.com) are. There's a couple image galleries and two trailers online for it. In my opinion, our George (not) Lucas was probably the most photographed fan at Celebration 2. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif Also, the filmmakers (who aren't from either group, they just recruited us) shelled out the dinero to bring David Prowse to Indianapolis to take part in the filming, which I've been told, is the first time he's ever been in a fan film.

Looks kinda cool. Spoofs aren't usually my favorite films, but I'll download it just to see Prowse. Thanks for posting Sebulba-X, we rarely see any activity in this section of the forum. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

From what I understand...there's some spoofing and parody in it, but it's mostly original story of a couple of fans who accidentally kidnap GL at Celebration 2. I haven't been a part of this at all, so I can't tell you much more than what the website has. The first teaser makes you think it's going to be a "Saving Private Ryan" ripoff and I don't think it really has anything to do with that. I like the real trailer a lot...particularly seeing my friend Scoot get hammered in the face/neck with a plastic saber.

Not necessarily movie related, but since Prowse is in town from last weekend's shoot, he's been making the rounds on local radio stations and is even doing a signing at a local comic book store. He was on X-103 twice, Monday & today...you can listen to the interview here (http://www.bigdumbshow.com/) (scroll down past the Paris Hilton section)...the mention the film a little, but not a whole lot. I think today's interview may be online in the next day or so. I hope that one is since Prowse was in studio along with Indy legend "Sammy Terry" (http://www.sammyterry.com/)...late night horror movie host for a local TV station from days gone by. There's also a picture or two on Bob & Tom's site (http://www.bobandtom.com/gen3/index.htm).
