Arghhh...HS is slow slow right now.

And without cable, I simply have to wait.

I'm really starting to dig these cartoons a lot.

Hemingway
11-11-2003, 09:30 PM
OK.

I finally got in.

Just one thing to say:

ARC Troopers style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif T, where's a :rawk: smilie?

Frendon

It was good, I still like the second better, maybe because we saw more of different things, I can't wait to see them all together.

Darth Darthy
11-11-2003, 10:04 PM
Yeah, the second one was better. This one wasn't very dynamic, just a generic assault with some cool hand signals.

Hemingway
11-11-2003, 10:09 PM
the hand signals rocked.

w00t! that was sweet style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif those ARC troopers rock

I am trying ot figure out how the ARC trooper in command is a Seargent, but than again maybe all clone/storm troopers are non officers i can't remember.

I loved it again, maybe i am just easy to please.

I can translate for you Mr. Tambone.

I can not believe that I am so addicted to the Clone Wars Micro-Series. Mr. lucas was only going to allow 1 minute of show time. I am glad Mr. lucas gave Mr. Tartakovsky the authorization to do 3 minutes instead. Now we will need a good 30 minute show to realy be satisfied.

[By the way I am still in love with bluemilk since she changed her avatar, which just goes to show what a horribly fickle bloke I am.

I would imagine that my affections might cool down if she changed it to Bossk or Jabba or a Jawa, or something like that]

There's the new review.

And GOOD GOD, who IS that in your avatar, Sonja? I can't keep my blasted concentration.

You are nuts Nathan style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif, Chapter 2 was better!!

I think me not agreeing with your reviews is becoming a new tradition. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

This is too short.

Frendon

I don't know if many people have noticed this, but on chapter 2, the Arc troopers' Gunship if has blue-green kind of markings at the beginning and just before it is shot down, it's color changes to that of a regular Gunship.

Maybe I should pust this on the chapter 2 thread....

Phil Tinajero
11-12-2003, 12:27 AM
Maybe the discussion on Clone Wars should just be one thread, I don't know. By the end there's going to be twenty threads that each lasted one day. Maybe it's just me. I'll shut up now. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif

But hey Chapter 3 was awesome! It did seem shorter than the first two, but maybe that's because this kept the three minutes in one scene. But the action was really kicked up a notch. I love how the ARC Troopers are really covert-op.

I have to say my favorite parts were when that trooper leaped into the droid tank and blasted everything inside, and when the captain through the scannerl up into the air and saw everything on the other side of the city. Wow.

When all is said and done with all of the episodes, I wish they'd edit each chapter together to make one long movie.

Yes, I think it should be one thread.

Heh, I'm doing that myself in Quicktime Pro. Just slice the beginning off after the Chapter X fades out, and cut it off before the LFL logo at the end. Leave in the logo at the opening for the very beginning and the company logos at the very end. You don't even need to worry about re-exporting if you keep the files there for dependency.

Aww crap! CartoonNetwork.com hasn't updated there site, so I can't watch Chapter 3. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif

Darth Vegas

Well that was a neat Episode, and I agree with JMG about all the seperate threads, I think it's unecessary, as there really isn't much to talk about in each individual episode, and I think in the long run these are meant to be viewed as a whole.

Darth Drew
11-12-2003, 11:58 AM
This chapter was ok. My problem with it is that nobody speaks through the whole chapter!

Darth Vegas
11-12-2003, 12:03 PM
Well it is only one small part of what will basically be a little over an hour long cartoon movie (unless they do go ahead and make more episodes).

I am of the opinion that the no speaking part was a good thing. Anakin's sound-alike is awful, and Obi's isn't too hot either. The clonetroopers by their very nature shouldn't speak too much, especially if they ARC troopers are meant to mirror Special Forces units.

darklighter

See I actually like the Obi Wan voice over and the Yoda is excellent, but I think Anakin and Palpatine were pretty awful. Must be a Sith thing. My biggest complaint though is when all the blasting breaks out between the ARC's and the Droids and the commander is still giving hand signals. When that much chaos is going on I'm not sure who is watching the commander while at the same time trying to pick a target. Hand signals are for when stealth is involved, they're obviously discovered there and so he can shout a few orders. But that's just being nitpicky, otherwise I love the series so far. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/saber.gif

That is what happens in combat because there is too much noise to shout.

I'm also doing that but I'm keeping the CHapter #s, basically because the first one had an ending that can't be placed together because of the climatic music and all, it has to end there, and begin somewhere else if you get what I mean.

Nathan Butler
11-12-2003, 05:59 PM
You can cut it there without much problems. You just need to use the incrimental cursor movement with your arrow keys rather than the mouse so you can cut it off just as the LFL logo is about to fade up. If you do that, then cut the Chapter 2 header just as it has finished fading out, you get the big buildup of music as the ships leave, then a second or two of black, then a fade up to chapter 2 content. It's a pretty good transition, as long as the black's there.

Frendon

Thanks Nathan but I still prefer to have the Chapter header instead of just a black screen every 3 min. for no apparent reason, it's just a matter of taste really.

Personally, I thought this chapter rocked! If this was what all the pieces would be like, I wouldn't care about it being only 3 minutes long. The not talking part just makes it that much cooler (Refer back to Nathan's Spec. Forces analogy.). I love the Red Arc Troop's dual pistols, it adds a little personality to his character (if He's supposed to have one.)

Just a little Jango Fett in him. The best part of the whole thing is the repelling. When old dude slides down the rope behind the tank. I was like ,whats this, awsome. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/saber.gif 1 saber up. Can't wait for 26 mins.
