Thank god they dont stick a frigging commertial in the middle of it I am hooked like a crack addict. The time they spend advertising for it the might as well make these things 30 min long. I am totally *****ing because they rock and I have to wait 23 hours and 57 mins to see the next one. This is like CRACK so little but such a HIGH.

That was cool, I think people will change their minds about the series after they see this, alot of people jumped the gun with that first Episode, hardly realizing what the Episode was - just an overview of the first season, but who could blame them, it went by at lightspeed.
I voted for the hammerhead btw, I figure this dude is most likely going to die by the hands of that one dude...some of you know who I'm talking about. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif

I'm supposed to review this thing for TUCWS but it's a bit difficult as it's so damn short. I think I may wait until the marathon on Nov. 21st.

Damn, I'm hooked too! What can I say?
I fretted at first because they took up more of my three minutes with a recap. But I did enjoy what I saw. I guess I shouldn't complain anymore about it not being longer; what's the point?
I don't know, I guess I could kind of agree with Nate on some issues. Especially the "previously" thing which sets us back and uses up our precious time.
Well, anyway, can't wait till tommorow.

I did like the whole "hand-signals thing". But make it longer! I know I'm beating a dead horse, yet they need to listen to our pleas.

"Nathan..you are nuts , this chapter rocked."
You also argued against the first chapter, so I'll take that as a good thing. If I'm going to be a dynamic opposite, might as well keep it up, right? style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif
Anyway, I'm trying to review in terms of the full series context, but we also have to keep in mind how much any individual chapter advances the plot and how it is presented.
The "previously" and "next time" were laughable, and the fact that the entire plot, what little they crammed into Chapter 2, was revealed in the few seconds before it aired was asinine. I would have much preferred to have been surprised when the Arc Troopers were shot down, rather than have it told to me 10 seconds before airing. That's like being told that Qui-Gon dies ten seconds before watching TPM for the first time. Previews are supposed to tease, and they often contain mild spoilers, but for something so short, ANY spoiler spoils the entire chapter. I'd almot prefer the "FRIDAYS!" jackanape again before the episode.
The ugly should be a given. Maybe, though, it's my fan audio background. If you cast voice actors for established characters, the MUST sound like they are supposed to. These aren't new characters. Anakin should sound at least vaguely like Hayden, while Obi-Wan should sound like Ewan. Obi-Wan's at least close, but Anakin is even further from the mark than Palpatine was. It's not like there was a lack of resources here. Not trying to tap the actual actors is fine, though one might think that would've made the most logical (if not financial) sense, but at least get someone who sounds SIMILAR.
So, yeah, overall, that chapter did nothing for me but make me long for Chapter 1. But, like I said, it's a matter of context, as I mentioned in the review. It will have a much better feel when seen as part of the whole, rather than as a little 3-minute short. As a short, it just felt like the Diet Coke version of Chapter 1.
Would my opinion have been better if CN hadn't spoiled it a few seconds before and made it somewhat pointless to watch? Maybe, but I guess we'll never know now, thanks to promotional idiocy.

I agree with the report except I think the vioce actors are prety good for not being the real actors. The art is awsome except the Supreme Chancoler.

I liked this chapter much more than the first. But, my only problem with it was that when they came out of hyperspace over the planet, it looked like a scene from the clone wars video game.

I loved it. It was fun, it was cool, and it continued to fit in nicely with the rest of the saga (the sinister-Anakin touches were especially helpful in this area).
And, I think the best part of the series isn't just seeing the new things Tartokovsky & co. have brought to the Universe -- it's also seeing the familiar things rendered in a (quasi) new format. I love seeing our favorite little green Jedi Master drawn in cartoon form, and the clone troopers brought to life in a simplified, exaggerated fashion. The military hand signals were cool, as Nathan pointed out. The ending was also a nice teaser for the next short.
Being without cable style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif, I'm watching the series online, so I can't speak for those who were spoiled by the previews. I suppose, though, that promoters may have had a hard time balancing the stigma against revealing potential spoilers and the need to lure viewers to a three-minute-plus short, and simply went heavier on the former than the latter.

I thought it was just awful. I haven't seen an animated show with so little animation since the days of Hanna Barbera. Super Friends had more actual animation in it than this did. How can you not laugh when the rocket hits the ship and the camera jiggles but the clones don't move at all? Give me a break.

I like the classic, minimalist style.
Reminds me of the cartoons when I was a kid.

I don't know if many people have noticed this, but on chapter 2, the Arc troopers' Gunship if has blue-green kind of markings at the beginning and just before it is shot down, it's color changes to that of a regular Gunship.

I think they should tone the tension between Obi-Wan and Anakin down a bit. I recall in one of his chats, Pablo Hidalgo said that their friendship was stronger than ever at the beginning of EP3. Maybe since this is directly after AOTC, they still haven't totally been the same after the episode on Geonosis.
I like the animation but there are times when I do have problems with it.
Justin

There isn't much of it. It seems like the only things that are animated are mouths and eyes moving, billowing cloaks, and funky hand signals.
I can't stand cartoons where nothing is animated but a character's mouth and eyes during most of a scene.
