I wonder if there will be any Star Destroyers or TIE fighters in Ep III, i think there should be,and hey maybe even some Y-wings,(no X-wings,Y-wings are older so youd expect to see them)

There already are. Didn't you see the Star Destroyers towards the end of Ep II?

Not exactly the corrillian class star destroyersof the OT.

You will probably see some sort of "prototype" version of the Tie Fighter. Although it is a very basic design...we could see it out right...As far as the X-wings go...Z95 headhunters will possibly be seen seeing as they are the X-wings predecessor. Is it just me or is anyone else get the feeling that GL is going to have trouble fitting all of this into a 2-2 1/2 hour movie??? style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tie.gif

Well, Zane there was a question on the Official star wars site about how maybe it will be 3 hours.Guess we'll have to wait 2.5 years to see if that is true....... style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/scratchchin.gif

I would say it's a definite on the StarDestroyer front. Those landing craft we saw in EPII were the precurser and were NOT StarDestroyers. It would bridge another gap between the PT and OT particularly considering it's unlikely we'll see the DeathStar in it's finalized form.
I for one, would like to see a surface bombardment courtesy of one. Perhaps the destruction of Naboo at the hands of an SD would explain the dissaperance of it (Naboo) in the OT.

Yeah I saw the question to Rick...he said that it will be a standard 2 hour movie...I just think there is waaaayyy too much to cram in in 2 hours....we will see...

George isn't trying to cram the movie with technology. It's the story and don't you forget that, my young apprentices'. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif

Rick has been wrong a lot in the past. I'd be very surprised if the movie was any less than 2.5 hours. I'm thinking it will be closer to 3.

It would take a whole fleet of star destroyer to desruct a planet of naboo's magnitude.

If I remeber corectly those werent Star Destroyers. They were smaller and in Jedi Starfighter there transports. Are Star Destroyers capable of atmospheric flight? I read someware that they did but it was probably Victory Class. Imperial class might be too big.

ISD's can't enter a planets atmoshpere. That's why they use barges to transport surface attack vehicles.

As for other classic ships featured in the PT. . .
I get the strange feeling that the Jedi Starfighter is an indirect predescessor of the T-65 X-Wing Fighters featured in the OT. At one time before the release of AOTC, I saw a bunch of pics of the Starfighter with its wings folded out in a weird way for attack mode, revealing two gun emplacements on each side . . . strangely similar to the Xwing's attack mode. I dunno, I think Im just rationalizing it too much, but i would love for Lucas to inject more PT-OT connections.

I think we'll see ships that resemble the OT vessels more and more, but nothing direct....the SD will be the closest. I like the thought of seeing the Z-95 too, though.
And where does it say the SD can't enter an atmosphere? Never read it anywhere. (that I can remember anyway)

Actually we have already seen proto ties, Sith Infiltrators, and Jedi Starfighters.
Jedi Starfighters open up to look like a tie.
We have also seen proto Star Deystroyers.
We have seen all of this, so will we see more? Yes.

I thought that X-Wings could possibly be part of Alderaan's defense force.

Why does everyone always say X-Wings will do this in Ep III and do that in Ep III, think common sense. Y- Wings are older and we therfore have a bigger chance of seeing Y-Wings not X- Wings.Jeez. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif
