Actually there is a comic - "Chewbacca" it's a series of flash-backs told by the people close in his life, but the frame sstory is set between the Dartk Tide and Agents of Chaos duologies.

And, technically, there is one NJO video. It's a trailer for Vector Prime that features MH back in character as Luke Skywalker giving a monologue that sounds suspiciously like an entry in the fabled Skywalker Holocron that has been bandied about as backstories for future guidebooks.

Maybe it does take place before Onslaught, but I've always thought of it as taking place before Hero's Trial since Chewie's funeral at Kasshyk (sp?) takes place at the beggining of that book. Also, in issue 4 Luke is standing before a repair dock in Coruscant where fires on X-wings are being put out and people are injured, so it seems that the war has progressed more than in Vectore Prime - remember, noone believed Leia that the Vong were a serious threat at the beggining of Onslaught.

True, but then again, there are so few vessels harmed that I always figured it was around the time of the Battle of Helska IV.

I guess the kicker would be Han. He's there for them to talk to in Chewbacca.

I don't have it on me right now, but if you download the SWT-G (link in sig), I'm pretty sure there's a transcript for what Luke's saying on it. Just look between Vector Prime and Onslaught in the summaries for 25 ASW4.
