The Josh interview wasnt to interesting, but what the hell do I know about conducting interviews. Although T'Bone and Fatboys were good reads.
Yea well the fats likes to exagerrate a bit.
Folks like him and DP were kinda like vents for me so they got the brunt of some frustration but this TFN obsession they're trying to paint on me is misleading and I don't really appreciate it - especially since they don't know me from a hole in the wall in reality.
If anyone thinks I sat around all day thinking up ways to screw that site over they're mistaken.
A few hours a night - maybe some time in between stuff at work - was when I worked on my site,
and in the midst of all that came the drama and tension but ... uh... I did other stuff, as you can see.
That whole website nonsense really was just a small part of the bigger picture and whether he wants to admit it or not (even though he probably heard the bad stuff mostly) a lot of it was John Benson and I laughing our asses off and having fun with it. The bad times were when they did underhanded stuff and you can't blame people for getting ticked off at that. I think Rob Beasley had a few heart attacks himself posting stuff at JediNet and seeing it pop up at TFN 3 minutes later with an earlier timestamp - LOL. John and I would crack up but yea we thought it sucked.
And I don't care what he says - I distinctly remember him coming to me with talk of sticking it to TFN. I remember it vividly. No one's innocent in all that nonsense. Fanboys yelling at fanboys - pure geeky bliss.
Again, so glad that sh*t is over. :D

To be quite honest with you I never really thought or even considered the amount of sh*t you guys went through to bring us this stuff, I mean I had somewhat of an idea, but after reading this stuff it's turns out to be so much more, it's quite intriguing if I may say.

It was overrated. The publicity and traffic were nice but I preferred the days BEFORE the prequels, right around the special edition news, before they were out even. That was fun and that's how it feels again now - full circle.

I remember seeing most of the event talked about in the interviews happen, however it was from a "outsider's" perspective. T, of all the interviewws your has in my opinion been the best. It was an interesting read and presented you in a professional manner, kudos.

The Joshua Griffin interwiew was difficult. Initially he wanted to read T-bone's and Fatboy's recollections before he submitted his, but I managed to convince him it would work best as an independent Rashomon-style collection of accounts. With regard to the content it was really a question of doing a straightforward non-offensive interview and hoping to throw in a couple of curveballs to try and get something extra out of him. I was limited to just a few questions and I doubt he would have taken part if I'd taken a more confrontational approach.
I knew that both the T-bone and Fatboy interviews would provide great value and I appreciate their candour and insight. I'm hoping that I can develop this history project into something bigger and work with T-bone again in the future.
Thanks T. ;)

Why won't anyone else promote the stuff for you? Seems weird. Back in the day they'd laud any interviews. Are you getting any play off their boards or anything? Seems like no one really cares - and rightly so! LOL

I can understand the lack of linkage because TFN is a commercial site that needs to protect its interests, and that includes not sending traffic off-site to communities that could potentially steal away their membership.
What I don't understand is the fact that Joshua Griffin hasn't replied to the email I sent him regarding the charity project that we discussed. I don't have a problem with TFN not participating for a valid commercial reason but I do expect the courtesy of a reply. It does seem strange that a TFN shareholder who is also a pastor is unwilling to collaborate on a goodwill project.
I think this is the point in my e-career where I start to become cynical and jaded.

awesome, thanks.
feedback is a good thing.
i'm glad someone liked the alderaan... i didn't think people would like it too much.
i'm thinking the next ones might include hoth (white/blue/grey?) and maybe bespin/cloud city (red/orange/white?)... but i want to get some new colors in there like maybe a dark green/grey for kashyyyk or something...not sure yet.

Ok...so I saw this thread and said to myself, "Self I said...we need ta go and sign up in T-Bone guest book...." So we meandered over and...wait....we've been here before. Not only have we been here before...we been here a lot for a long time. "Self, I said...are we having a senior moment?" So I decided to but the link in my favorites and lo and behold...it asked me did I want to write over the old link.... and I suddenly found myself in the old link section and there you were... along side MF and TFN.... You had the best spoilers! So see I always had it right...I just got waylaid.... The best of times...

It's a running joke that began from a Saturday Night Live skit. This is off topic in the thread, but watch this clip and you'll know exactly why this site needs more cowbell. I'm sure T'bone has seen it and knows exactly what I meant.
