When First Came and Why:

I first came to the senate last Nov I guess a few weeks over a year ago because I heard some radio guy saying that starwarz.com sucked and was stealing starwars.com's name. Naturally I wanted to check it out and starwarz.com not only did NOT suck...it rocked! Because of all the links to the GS I ended up going there and as they say...the rest is history. I love starwarz.com and I have know idea what gave the radio guy a bad impression...probably the same unknown reason that made the critics dislike TPM...who knows?

Well, I found starwarz.com WAAAAAAAY back, a long time ago on a computer very, very close (in fact, I'm staring at its screen right now). It was from a Cinescape (a kewl sci-fi mag that always favors SW over Star Trek) article about Star Wars on the Web, listing some choice sites. Then I visit one day and see a link to T's new message board. Padme stole the line, but the rest, as they say, is history.

BTW, I just bought a copy of the Incredible Internet Guide to Star Wars yesterday at Borders (a.k.a. my heaven for a few endless hours of relaxation, reading, and music). Flipping through it, guess what? Under the chapter listing message boards, the Galactic Senate is there! And the author actually wrote a description for it, which he didn't bother to do for some. *sniff* I'm honored . . .

Oh yeah. And raise your hand if you don't get my new name, `cuz I don't think that "Got Milk" ad ran anywhere but the US of A.

Crimminy Jickets! I forgot some of my fave music! Fatboy Slim, Machbox 20, Pearl Jam, Blink 182, Goo Goo Dolls, Third Eye Blind. Thanx for reminding me on some of those, Shawn. I also have good opinions on Will Smith, `cuz his songs manage to make you feel just confident and give you a huge self-esteem burst for some reason, and there's no swearing in them, but he's still considered by the Generation X to be cool. And that's HARD, folks. Even harder to do a song with people like Lil' Kim and Eve and make them NOT SWEAR. And while I do own a Counting Crows CD, the lead singer always sounds like he's high or drunk or something and his voice gets irritating after a while. Oh yeah, and Lou Bega is okay.

What's your house gonna look like? Well, I’m looking at buying one right now, actually, so does that make it a void question? It’s a four bedroom townhouse, polished floorboards in the bedrooms and tiles throughout the rest of the house (NO CARPET! YAY!). Umm… walk in wardrobe, ensuite of course, built-ins in every room, huge living, dining area, big open kitchen – more than enough room to have a dozen people swinging cats! It’s great, and only a hundred metres from where I live now, so moving will be easy! Now if only the *******s will accept my offer…

Where are you gonna live? Australia. I’ve been around quite a bit, and there’s no place I’d rather live.

How many kids? I used to say none, but as I get softer, I’d have to say two – that way they’re more inclined to bug each other rather than me and their mother!

What are you gonna do? Wow, that is such an open question. Career wise, more computer stuff, or failing that, run a few adult massage parlours – those two businesses are where the bucks are, folks!

What does your ideal girlfriend/boyfriend look like? While Mandalore will no doubt be chanting “Denise Richards”, that is not, in fact, the case. The girl of my dreams – well, I can’t say, other than a very cute little package. A thinner Drew Barrymore would but a smile on my dial.

You love: Taking risks while rock climbing without any rope or harness. It’s a buzz that just makes you want to scream out that you’re alive. Man, maybe I should clean these things out!

On your ceiling? A glow in the dark Batman symbol that I thought would be a good idea many, many years ago. Now if I try to peel it off it, ceiling paint comes away with it. It can stay.

Holiday? Christmas. And I'm sorry, but the little caveman urge inside me makes me all mad. Why do public schools get off for Christmas?! And how come EVERYONE gets off of work?! It's a Catholic holiday! Easter too! Two of America's BIGGEST holidays! People can't devote their time or their faith to being a Catholic, they don't believe in Jesus, but they all celebrate the day he was born by getting off of school, or work, and getting presents! Catholics celebrate Jesus 365 days a year (366 on leap year), so THEY should be the only ones to get off and get presents on his birthday! AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO SEES THIS? (Easter too, by the way) Then again, that's a little un-Catholic of me, but I'm also a man of reason.

Quote? Too many to name. Most are inside jokes with friends anyway, hilarious to us but stupid to everyone else.

TV show? Too many again. Partial to SNL, Simpsons, X-Files, occasional TRL, stuff like that.

What's your house gonna look like? Hmm . . . larger than Bill Gates'. Yep. Wooden floors. A fireplace. More than one bathroom. Not too much to ask for, is it?

Where are you gonna live? If not Ohio, Colorado. Boulder, Colorado, was voted the greatest karge-sized city to live in in all of America. My aunt used to live there, and I can vouch for that vote. Next choice'd be Massachusetts, then New York (the city, or the state somewhere near Cooperstown). Out of country? England maybe, but something tells me I wouldn't like it.

How many kids? Boy and a girl, but Kaitlin says she's happy with just a boy (and then I say, "please don't start talking about kids!") =;-)

What are you gonna do? Go surf a few more sites, page through a USA Today, work on those frickin' reports. Oh, you don't mean immediate future, do you? Well . . . become a writer, hopefully. Maybe a director with a big budget.

What does your ideal girlfriend/boyfriend look like? Anthony, if you mean I'd say Denise Richards for myself, that's wrong, but I think you mean about you. Then you might be right.
For me, if I want to know what the ideal girlfriend looks like, I look to my left at the framed picture of Kaitlin and I.

Ever been in love? Deep in it right now. But I've been in puppy love a lot, and a lot of times I confused it for the real thing.

But if you voted, especially if you voted against them, go ahead. In my case, I voted for Bill.

Afraid of? Millipedes. They have too many legs to walk with, they scurry across the floor and ceiling and wall faster than I can jump onto a chair and scream, and I SWEAR, they STOP moving every time I look at them. They KNOW, I tell ya! Good thing I don't see them often, and usually only in basements.

Proud of? My family. They don't get down from anything. Especially my parents, for raising me and still having color in their hair. My friends, for all of their accomplishments. Kaitlin, for putting up with me and giving me her full love when I don't deserve it, and myself, for never doing anything stupid when I was young (i.e. alcohol/smoking/blowing up the White House) even when it was a pressure to do so. Okay, I did stupid things, but stupid like "I'll look back on this and laugh, even if I'm laughing now," not like "these handcuffs make my wrist hurt."

Envious of? We're all envious of everyone at one time or another.

Under your bed? Dust

On your feet? A layer of epidermical skin, layered with some white socks.

On your walls? Jacob's Field Green (a color matching that of the Cleveland Indians' stadium wall color), a Yoda photo-mosiac, and a bunch of crap I wanted to hang up.

On your mouse pad? "GO DIRECTLY TO JAIL! DO NOT PASS GO, DO NOT COLLECT $200!" And there's that classic pic from the gameboard of the policeman dragging Mr. Moneybags away, and the Monopoly logo in the orange background. It looks just like the real Chance Card from the game.

On your bed? Pillows. Sheets. A heavy one on top, `cuz it's winter. No special pictures or anything, sorry. But there are two pillows side by side, with an imprint from a head on each. In my opinion, that's the best decoration I'd need. =;-)

Let's have a look, shall we? . . . a clutter of pieces of paper with little reminders scribbled on them, two pairs of headphones, a couple of pens and pencils, a calculator, a disk from the mail for 100 free hours of AOL, a blank day-planner purchased many years ago, a Santa Pez (how'd that get there?), a few print-outs of stuff, an old mouse pad, and *counting* . . . twnety-seven cents.

On your ceiling? Nothing but the lights. Air conditioning, so no fan.

In your closet? Clothes, and boxes of stuff I should send to labs and the Smithsonian.

Yeah. . . .uh. . .Nicole. . . LOL! Cereally. . .um. . .hmm. . . . .I've never yet seen an ugly Miranda (but then again. . I HAVE led a sheltered life).

Well, I should say that my failure was not just me being totally shy &/or slow. I also suffer from the strange compulsion that all ladies see me as a "Really great friend", and so I usually don't ask for fear of that "Special Friendship" reply (I've gotten them enough).

Anyway, I knew her my senior year in High School (she transfered in). First met in 1st period gym (she also gave me the nickname right then, too), we then realized (not too hard, really) that we were in almost all the same classes. So. . .we quickly became friends (curse 1). She would always cheer me up when I was seriously down, and would never give me fuel when I was being negative (good comments that I could rip apart and find evil in- sadly, I'm good at that). As for looks. . .I'll see if I can find any pictures of her. I'm sure the whole board wants to see what she looks like now.

But what's worse is that she moved to Florida after high school. . . .and. . . .not for college. . .and not by herself or with some girl friends. Found that out the hard way (actually called, got the guy, and suddenly I was stuttering like I did my first phone call to a girl). Now, I know it wasn't anything set yet (she couldn't have really gotten to know the guy, I know that much), but the risk is great. . .and 7 months (now that I happened to remember the whole thing. . . .I thought I had forgotten all about it) is either a VERY long wait, or a chance to forget and take 2 at moving on.

With 7 months, I'm all for moving on (heck, if I see her again, I'll KNOW that I'll remember this anyway). But. . since I've just spilled my guts and some brain matter here. . .what does the whole rest of y'all think?
