Some scenes were added to the Special Editions of the Original Trilogy but there were LOADS of them that werent?
Can we get them all? I know of a few but want to see what other people know first. Whether you know it as fact or it was just a rumour you heard twenty odd years ago let me know!!!

I hope the cut scenes will be in the DVDs.

T'Bone has (well, when the site returns) an entire section devoted to everything that is known to exist of those cut scenes. Also, you can find three of them on the Behind the Magic CD-ROM program.

He does have a hell of a lot but uncle Georgey must have some unseen footage in his vault somewhere.
I hope they fix the cutscene with the snow speeder crashing into the AT-AT head. It's a shame the sky fell down. Well, it's also quite funny...

What's funny is watching the Wampa trying to drag a body through the snow - he just couldn't quite stand upright. :p

Yes, I have a mathematical equation for this one:
Platform shoes + Wampa Suit + Snow = Stupid Idea.

I remember reading this in another thread, but I would to
see GL do something about the Rancor scene. It bugs me each time I watch it.
How about the conversation with Biggs and Luke on
Tatooine... style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/scratchchin.gif

How about Luke Skywalker constructing his new lightsabre in Old Bens hut as he sends C-3PO and R2 off to Jabbas palace at the start of ROTJ...

That would be kind of cool to see. I always wanted to see a scene in which someone constructs a lightsaber.

T-Bones site is still down but here's another excellent site containing all of the known cutscenes, rare if never seen alternative camera angles, production stills ect. Take a look here at Obscurites:

Take a look at that website above. It shows Luke putting the Lightsabre together in the cave (just a concept drawing) just before Artoo and Threepio leave for Jabbas palace. It's got a nice matte of the actual cave with the Falcon and X-Wing in the background too.

Lonesabre, do me a favor and clear out your message box a little bit. I tried to write you a message but your box is full and can't receive anything more.

I wouldn't be so sure, they created the music for the scene (also on that website). As we all know, John Williams scores his music while timming it to the actual event on a big screen. I do believe that scene was filmed along with the matte of the cave.
Never presume anything my young apprentice...

I should also add that the music for the alternative opening of ROTJ was scored: Luke and Darth have a conversation ala TESB at the very beginning of the film. It was probably shot but never edited. No doubt all of these forgotten scenes will be on the second DVD of the OT's release - The Super Mega Stupidly Special Edition with new Padme Insertions!
(that sounds rude but wasn't meant to...)

I'm sure there are more scenes we don't even know about, scenes that were filmed and in a revision of scriptage (is that a word?) that are unknown.
That's the fun of the OT, many scenes that exsist, only a few that we truly know of...

How about at the very beginning of ANH when Luke looks into the sky and sees the space battle going on.

I heard that Oola was sopst to survive, or at least escaped and be recaptured before she could get out of the palace. At least that's what i heard.

That is true. At the time of the Special Editions the actress who played Oola in the original ROTJ and reprised her role in the SE said that the script called for her escape and recapture but they didn't have time to film it.
