This is a serious matter, friends. We can not have pornographic images posted anywhere in the Galactic Senate for any reason at any time. For one reason, this is board frequented by Star Wars fans of all ages, and that includes teenagers as well. For a second reason, this is a respectable board and it will remain respectable. T'bone put a lot of work into, and continues to put a lot of work into, this board for our enjoyment. For that we owe him a lot, and that includes respecting the class and integrity of the Galactic Senate and all of its posters, of all ages. Pornographic images are not an acceptable addition to this board that the owner provides at his expense, and no one will repay him by posting images of sexual activity either in message posts or in their avatars. No ifs, ands, or...whatevers. Anybody who displays images of sexual activity either in open view or in their avatar or profile images, will be summarily banned without warning and no reinstatement.
This is not a joke peeps, it has already happened. Respect your fellow posters, respect the boards, respect the owner.
So let it be written, so let it be done. So sayith Tovor on behalf of all the moderators, admins, and our leader T'bone. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

Yo there peeps, one thing we cannot do is deep link images off of other websites to repost them here. You really shouldn't deep link anywhere.
What is deep-linking, you ask? When you want to post a picture here for example, to show the image or to use it as your avatar, and you use the link to the picture that is on a different website, you are draining bandwidth from the other site which the other site's webmaster pays for. Say you notice that your electric bill to your house is high, and then you find that your neighbor is powering his lights via an extension cord plugged into the side of your house. He is stealing your electricity that you pay for.
And that is what happens when you deep link images off of other websites; you steal bandwidth from that site that the owner there has to pay for. That, in addition to occasional copyrighted images, is the reason why deep linking is not allowed here, and why occasionally a mod or an admin will delete images from posts that are linked over from other sites.
So, to be short and sweet, please do not ever deep link an image off of another website and repost it here or use it as your avatar. Your image will be deleted and you will be politely warned not to do it again.
If you wish to post a pic that you found on the web, simply do what I do. Save the image to your hardrive and then upload it to the boards from your hardrive. Then you are taking it from your computer rather than draining bandwidth from another site. Another cool thing to do is to simply include the link to the pic on the other site, because that draws traffic and attention to the other site which helps the other site out. And I can say that T'bone, after all his hard work on this site, has a lot of respect for other site owners and would appreciate any attempts to help other sites out as well as his.
Get it?
Got it?
Cool beans! style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

Here is the old rule I am adding to this thread. Please read and heed. Thanks.
There are many people who will try to remain as spoiler free as possible this time around, after reading too many spoilers before the last 2 episodes came out. Those who want to know a little about the next movie yet still avoid learning major plot details or scenes will appreciate it if thread titles are kept rather vague in the spoiler section, so that they are not clearly visible on the main menu page when one scrolls down to the non-spoiler sections.
For instance, say the last film was still under production and a thread title said "The Climactic Lightsaber Duel, Some Surprises in Store". Anyone can choose to read it or avoid it. But if it said "The Final Duel After Arena and Clone War Battle, Yoda Fights Dooku After Obi and Ani Lose", then in a mere instant of skimming over the titles to choose which ones not to read, the details of the final duel are spoiled permanantly.
So, I merely ask for spoiler seekers to be mindful of the amount of info they put into topic titles, because even those who avoid the spoiler section can still see the title of the last topic posted in from the main menu page.

Like many other Senators, I used to have a tendency to look into the spoiler section despite my wish to stay clear of major spoilers. So I would read from time to time topics that are not spoilers to me, concerning subjects that I or we already know will happen, in the naive hope that I will not read something new I had not expected. So I admit that I am an idiot when it comes to avoiding spoilers, as I did such a poor job of it for the last 3 episodes. So, for weak natured fans like me who enter the spoiler section and try to avoid SERIOUSLY MAJOR spoilers while reading Episode III topics that I already know about, and for people who also avoid the section completely but can still see the topics on the main page and Active Topics list, that is why I made the above request. Thank you, and good day all.

Also, the topic descriptions show up when you use the Active Topics feature, so anyone who uses it will see it if you put a spoiler in the description, even though they aren't going to the Spoiler section. So please don't put spoilers in the topic descriptions either. (This contributed by Justin)
