Here's a nice place for you to talk about trading cards.

Speaking of which, does anyone have a scan of the back of Topps' Star Wars Widevision card #85 with Biggs on Yavin IV being shot from a distance?

Thanks.

All I collect are trading cards and similar printed materials, vintage/modern, US & non-US...could go on and on about it, but if anyone wants to trade or whatever my need/have list is in my profile.

Here's a question though...did anyone here go to see AOTC at IMAX, and if so did you happen to pick up the 4x9" ad card for the movie? I've been trying to collect and make a checklist for all the customized ad cards at all the various theaters. Not all of them had the cards, and some were just blank, but many theaters printed their own info on the backs. The only card I know about and don't have is the Las Vegas one (which happens to be the coolest), but then I also have no info from the following theaters:

California - San Francisco: Lowes Cineplex Metreon IMAX
DC - Washington: Johnson IMAX Theater Smithsonian
Florida - South Miami: IMAX at Sunset Place
Florida - Tampa: Channelside Cinemas & IMAX Theatre
Florida - Tampa: IMAX Dome at Mosi
Illinois - Lincolnshire: Regal IMAX Theater
New York - New Rochelle: Regal New Roc IMAX
New York - New York: Loews Cineplex Lincoln Square
Oklahoma - Tulsa: Cinemark Imax Theatre
Tennessee - Nashville: Regal Opry Mills
Texas - Galveston: Moody Gardens IMAX 3D Theater
Texas - San Antonio: San Antonio IMAX Theater Rivercenter
Virginia - Hampton: Virginia Air and Space Center
Virginia - Richmond: Science Museum of Virginia
Virginia - Virginia Beach: Virginia Marine Science Museum
Washington - Seattle: Pacific Science Center
Washington - Spokane: IMAX Theater Riverfront Park

Any help/info would be much appreciated. For scans & the checklist, go ~*~ here ~*~. (http://mywebpages.comcast.net/Sebulba/imax/)

One time I won an unopened box of Topps Star Wars Finest trading cards. They have like a chrome style face. There were I think 96 packs in the box. I opened every pack of course. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif They look pretty cool and cover the OT and EU. This was back in 97 or so. Lately I've been thinking about doing something creative with them or just giving them away. I don't have the complete set so I'd rather not sell them.

Which one's are you missing? I've got extras of most, which I'd be more than happy to just let you have.

Before you give any away, you may want to taks a closer look at the cards...while most of the common cards from that set have silver printing on the back, each box had 3 gold printed refractors which are pretty sought after by people wanting to complete a refractor mirror set. The front of the card has a rainbow reflective effect to it, but it's easy to miss as there's not much else to distinguish them from the regular card. Depending on which one's you have, I've seen single refractors go for $5-15 each.

Correction, there were 36 packs in the box, not 96. I wasn't thinking clearly.

These are the cards I'm missing.

13 Wedge Antilles
16 Winter
18 Qwi Xux
28 Royal Guard
30 Stormtrooper
32 AT-AT Pilot
33 Biker Scout
35 Dengar

Embossed Foil

F5 Princess Leia Organa
F6 Jacen Solo

Matrix

M2 C-3PO & R2-D2

These are the only parallel refractor cards I have.

43 Kyp Durron
53 Garindan
63 Sarlacc
83 R2-D2

StarWarsCards.Net Set Announcement Story (http://www.starwarscards.net/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=28;t=000056)

StarWarsCards.Net Set Update (http://www.starwarscards.net/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=28;t=000057)

Details at this point are sparse, but as the update says, an official announcement is expected today (1/16/04) on the OS, so there should be more to talk about after that. Set is due out in April, probably a 90 card set with who knows what for chase cards. Lots of possibilities I suppose...and while I would have liked an Ep2 3Di set, this is an easily expected non-movie set, particularly with the whole Clone Wars everything multi-media blitz.

I am in the market for a Finest set, how much do those go for these days?

Sebulba-X

Set of 90 common cards? Not very much...probably could get one for $5 without looking too hard. Promos and chase cards from that set vary from $1-$5 each.

Hello all, I would assume that this would be the right place to talk about the Star Wars CCG, so . . .

I went to Comic-Con and bought a whole bunch of Decipher's Star Wars CCG, Young Jedi CCG, and Jedi Knights CCG. I am looking to trade, because I have almost complete sets that I would like to complete, and I would like to start sets that I have very few cards on. Here's the basic list.

Rares from Unlimited Premiere
Rares from Limited Jabba's Palace
A New Hope
Cloud City
Menace of Darth Maul
The Jedi Council
Battle of Naboo
Duel of the Fates

And then a bunch of cards for

Limited Premiere
Hoth
Dagobah
Special Edition
Death Star
Endor
Theed
Coruscant
Premium Sets (Anthologies. Decks, Jedi Packs, etc.)
Reflection's I, II, and III
Boonta Eve Podrace
Enhanced Menace of Darth Maul and Battle of Naboo

And any other Star Wars Decipher cards.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Oh yeah, and does anyone know if they ever released the third set of Jedi Knights (Champions of the Force), or did they just release the card list (because I have that)?

Sabrina Fried

Ah, I used to collect non-CCG cards both SW and non. But I used to do it the old fashioned way by buying packs and then buying singles to fill out my set.

Now I just go to cons and buy the sets.

Which reminds, me, anyone looking for a shoebox full of doubles from one of the ST: NG card sets? If I don't find a good home for them soon im probably just going to use them for kindling!

Bump.

Anyone have any widescreen topps cards they would be interested in swapping. I have a bunch of the TPM bonus cards, but I need to finish off the set. I also need to be steered in the direction of a set of the ROTJ widescreen cards. For some reason, I missed that one.

Blizzard

I have some. I have no idea what I have, though. They may be all ESB or RotJ. A friend gave me an entire album of the wide screen cards.

I have always wished I could complete my set of ESB cards from 1980.

Well, if you find out what you have regarding the ROTJ cards and would be interested in a swap or something, let me know. Thanks Blizzie!

I have 144 RotJ wide screen cards, but after drooling over them for an hour I am thinking I want to keep them. RotJ is my favorite movie. :(
