The Galactic Senate

Hey all.
On the previous incarnation of these boards, I remember in the RPG area there was something called "The Galactic Senate" or something to that effect where all the posters made up cool little stories about ...you. The people on the Senate as if they really WERE on the Senate on Coruscant. I thought it was pretty fun for fanfic and they included me as the Chancellor and stuff. I never wrote or posted to it but I did enjoy reading about my escapades and watching people put words to my character. It was pretty fun.

Anyhow, are you guys going to do this again or is anyone interested in doing this but including the Mods and folks like me, Vader (John), Rob (JN Prequels), etc? I'd love to see senators Teek and Blizz, etc...

lemme just say that, as a young freshman senator from the Core Planet of Corelia, I move to open the speaker's list and begin discussion of whether or not Sen Amory is qualified enough to replace Tbone as supreme chancellor . . . seeing no other motions on the floor, what says the chair?

Since I was the first to create this thing, let me go through everything:

1)This is written in the form of a round robin. Everybody writes something about their character and advances the situation.

2)No killing anyone elses characters.

3) Everybody takes on the role of a Senator representing a system, with people also taking on the roles as Chief-of-State and Ministers. When we left this, we were electing the inner council.

4)There is deception within the Senate; people plotting behind others backs. Back stabbing. Hired bounty hunters and assasins. NO VONG!!!

5)Jedi are allowed to represent a system, but not too many. Go for Force adepts or such if you come from a strong Force planet.

6)Go with the flow, but don't block!

7)This is set in AU, but EU characters and event are used. We'll go for just after the "Hand of Thrawn" duology.

8)No, repeat NO VONG!

My character is my character from the old thread: Clarrisani Ris'n Forwin Maganna. She's finshed her Jedi trainee, is the Princess of the Jedi, and knows all the big members of the Republic. Eg. Luke Skywalker. Leia Organna Solo. Ect.

Yes I use this character a lot, but she is me. Even my screen name is Clara!

And to keep thing less confussing, I will not post on this thread any longer. but, in order to keep my status in my other thread, I will keep "Supreme Chancellor" on my avatar. And so, since I won't be posting there, no one will get the least confussed.

Now, excuse me...one of my diplomatic Grand SuperNova starships are under seige, and my JediTrooppers are decreasing in number. I must have more made to rebuild their strength. And I must go to a ceremony joining another planet to my Republic. I must try and hold off an important vote in the Senate that we have left now that most of our Senators were killed in an attack on our SenateQuarters. And I must have elections put forth on the systems that lost a Senator, to elect a new one. I must hold off NewImperial forces and Mandilorian forces all together. While, I still need to construct New Jedi Acadamies on more systems to increase the Order's population. I must find a way to increase the NewJediOrder's influence in the galaxy before they become to obssesed with power that they topple the very government they are recuited to honor, preserve and to protect. All together, I must find a way to keep my New Galactic Republic from crumbling by the forces of both the New Galactic Empire(New Rebellion), and the forces of the Mandelorians.

So, if you will notice, I am totally booked. And I can't squeese more time into my schedule to steer from my duties, as a Supreme Chancellor, in order to post here. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif

PS: I left one minor thing out; I also need to rebuild my capital planet, Sergonistad, after a full-force invasion by the two common enemies. Not a very easy task. And you just try and rebuild a whole planet someday, as is my job every day, then you will realize that it's not as easy as it seems.

But I can let T'bone in on a little secret. My character's term as Supreme Chancellor of the NewGalacticRepublic is almost at it's end. And he will not run for re-election. So, soon enough, your higher-than-thou wish will be granted, and I will not keep "Supreme Chancellor" under my profile. Just so everyone's up to speed, my character's name is Senator Seanakin Pau'rant from Dantooine. My office is in Senate Office Building Room 321, where I often park my big old speeder bike, if I'm not riding it up onto my floating rostrum in the Senate Chambers.

After Seanakin's wife left him, he died of a heart attack, but his now-luminous Sith master brought him back because of a clerical error.

His secretary, Killis-Wan, is a flirtatious sort, who likes to spend her work day doing anything but work. A perfect fit for Seanakin's brand of work ethic.

Just informing you that no one is the supreme Chancellor, that is the way of things. The Senate's of the past have revolved around an inner circle of members, usually those for defence.

When the Galactic Senate was first created, there was a minor humorous conflict with T'bone who was the Supreme Chancellor of the actual message board. It was decided that while the Senate story would go ahead, no one would play the Chancellor and no one would write any talks with the Chancellor, but simply reference them. The Chancellor is always one of the admin and never one of the actual cannon characters. That is the way of things.

And if you think I'm having you on, just remember who originally created the Galactic Senate: The Story.

X3PO. help me out. I'm thinking of rolling a bit with what you've got going there... but who is Zuckuss? i don't want to use the character incorrectly.

Okay picture the scene on the Executor where Vader tells the Hunters about their mission.

Got it? Okay, Zuckuss is the biege looking guy with insect like eyes. I believe he is standing next to a Protocal like droid, that's 4-LOM (Possible meaning: For {the} Love of Money) Those two are partners. For a while Zuckuss and 4LOM was a part of a SpecForces unit in the Rebellion, and worked undercover with Boba to rescue Han (though at this point they were hunting him)

Zuckuss is a Gand. And his particular sub-species can not breath O2, he's a Methane Breather. He wears a breathing aparatus, because of that, and because of accidental exposure to O2. He joined the Rebels after Rebellion 21B's repaired his lungs.

Well, in actuality by this time Zuckuss is like J.Saber says, however 4-LOM is not. He was destroyed on a mission, and Zuckuss put him back together....but his personality was wiped out, and he's a straight up bountyhunter.

In fact, the two aren't even actual partners anymore.

Well let's just say sometime between then and now 4-LOM somehow retreived most of his memory. (after all this is our story we can do what we want right? Well mostly.) Anywho I love these guys and I wanted to invovle them in the story just a bit. There probably won't be too much with them, but I wanted them to make a cameo. Zuckuss by this time is probably pretty old, and as Jedisaber said he isn't a merciless boutny hunter. Though what we did forget to mention is that he is pretty strong in the Force, not Jedi strong mind you, but strong enough to where it helps him when tracking a bounty.

If anything it's a bit of a pre-cognition, and not entirely accurate. Essentialy he can see flashes of the future. No Telekinesis, nothing like that. In fact that power is representative of many of the Gand. Like the Gotal and they Empathy.

I'm not just making things up about Zuckuss. and I certainly never said he had any telekinesis abilties. He just has some things that help him out as a bounty hunter.

I like it, some of the stories are pretty good, some are just ok, and a very few are kind of goofy. But overall I would suggest it to anyone wanting to know.

Tales of the BH is sometimes cool. Personally, while I never liked Bossk, I really don't think he's as stupid as he was in that book. The IG story was...interesting.

Yes, Bossk is another of my favorite charecters and I was a bit upset at how stupid they made him seem. And I didn't like the ending of his story too much either. I thought the Dengar story was too lovey dovey, and changed my perspective of Dengar too much. I don't want to see him attempting to discover his past and trying to make a new life. I want to see him being a mindless efficient hunter. Although the one thing I liked best about tales of the bounty hunters was that it showed all the hang ups the other hunters had that allowed Boba to capture Han. (not that he needed any help.) But the other bounty hunters aren't second rate hunters, they were capable too, but it shows what screws them up and made it a sure thing for Boba.

As for Sen Fardreamer (didn't he die?)...I don't see how he's in this story line. X-3PO, Jalus, and Deek have all met before. Thirty some odd years before this here. Jalus doesn't remember X-3 yet (mainly cuz he just got 'into' the Rogue Environment)

No one now, since vodo kille dhis own character, but i fixed the problem with him TRYING to kill mine, the shot he posted about was a direct hit, but still not fatal, but since Pavax is now an Admiral, the bounty will stay the same price it was for the first two, and Dark Prince, ive set the scene for your kill, go to the NEW REPUBLIC SENATE THREAD, and kill Pavax while he recuperates in the hospital, hell try to escape your cluches, but since hes crippled its make his escape attempt to be in vain...

That was the most jumpy, non coninuity following stuff I've ever seen.

Jedisaber-The Tapcaf was closed off, no one in, no one out, how did Fardreamer get into the tapcaf? Then Two shooting, and all of a sudden Fardreamer is talking to you soon to be dead character.

'Saber, you do know what time is right? And the impossibility of being in two places at once, right, unless Fardreamer has a clone or something.

Another thing for Jedisaber and Vodo. I've tolerated the formating of your posts fo a while. For the most part it didn't bother me.

But please, for paragraphs double enter (as this post is like). Makes it a LOT easier to read. As it is your posts are just a jumble of letters.

Another thing, use the preview. It helps a lot. Maybe you don't have time for a full edit or or something, but even a quick scan of the post before committing can yield a much easier read post.

You may not know what I'm doing, or going with my story, but it's your job to try and make your character flow.

That may be true...and they would have let you in...but until my character told them to let you go, senator or not, they would have kept you there. For your own safety if need be.

Remember Jalus is the Chairman of the Defense Committee. He's a Former Vice-Chancellor. He's a Former Mercenary General. Ad it just so happens that the people that are securing the Tapcaf are people that he's known for a long time. Admiral Reeshar was Jalus' second in command.

And yes, you may not have time to throw together pages...but a paragraph makes things a lot easier to follow. A LOT.
