ITS FINALLY AVAILABLE.
Hello, my name is Rich Sigfrit, and I am hosting a show that will revolutioniz.... no, it won't do that. Its just like Digital Llama only bett.... no, its not that either. Makes ChronoRadio look like.... hmmmm. It is... No. Well, it'll probably have a couple of the same sound effects as Stormtrooper Bob. I can definitely say that.
Requiem of the Outcast (RotO). If you have a past, present, or future fanfilm, audio production, website, whatever and would like it pimped) please let me know.
The lowdown for the show:

Now, I know what you are saying. I would like a ham sandwich. But even deeper, you really mean: phhhhttt. We've heard this before. Yes that's true. But, unlike other people that have said they are gonna do it, Wasta (of Digital Llama Radio) said, and I quote, "I'd love to hear it!" Bamm. There you have it. If there are any questions, things you want reviewed, post them here, or PM me.

Great, show, m'boy. You should be proud.
I'm looking forward to the future interview segments.
And who knows. Maybe I *will* come up with a teaser for Second Strike or Anthology.
And, Rich, you can always use the teasers for Smuggler's Run or Resurrection already found on the Fanworks site.

The 2nd Episode was the best by far. I hope Will the Disembodied Voice comes back. For some reason, I don't think Janine's Voice was sexy, is something wrong with me? Hopefully I'll find out in the next Episode.

This show is good, just a bit of a spit shine is all.

The only thing better is Chronoradio.

Geez, Rich. You signed an agreement that important without reading the fine print? Dump this guy. He's totally ruining the show if I can tell from the first five minutes. I'm not sure how he's going to take this barely disguised form of mockery, but if it chases him off, more the better. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

Why would they mock him? That's completely senseless.

Rich hasn't been online much lately, it seems, due to his increased workload. I'm going to be talking to him soon, though, to be sure we're still on for a December episode. Last I checked in with him, he said there'd still be one, but with the holidays and all, I'm not exactly going to bust his butt to see what's up. Next time we talk, though, I'll see what's up.

Well, sorry about the hiatus. Working 11 hours a day, 6 days a week has been time consuming, but never fear as I have returned! And on the third, RotO shall return! And guess what kiddies, the evil Uncle Noah has been vanquished! Turns out the loophole that he found, didn't exist, as the only one who could one the show is the hosting site. Fortunately, Nathan in all his goodness(style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/innocent.gif), wisdom (style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/y.gif), and holiday spirit (yes it is there), handed over full ownership and control to your loyal producer and host. We had a rough patch there, but we realized that the only way to do the show is the only way we can, our way. We find new ways to polish up each episode, and thank you guys for your patience.

::out saunters Abe Peterka::
Okay, fine.
So I take it we'll be dealing a bit with Noah in the new episode, ey?
Yeah, I don't think I have a very sexy voice either. Anyway, Will says he's very glad that you want him back. I'm so happy you guys like the show!

I have the file all nice and compressed and re-uploaded. All I need is a quick bit from Rich to put with the release news byte, though if I don't get one by when I get home tomorrow, I'll just use his page description.
For some reason, I was having playback issues with the original file when I was doing a lot of other things, so I don't know yet if that was part of the actual file or just conflicts with my other programs running. I haven't been able to find where that was when I went back and listened to the final compressed file, so maybe it's there, maybe it's not. I dunno, Rich, did you notice anything like that? It was in part of the discussion, because I remember that it was Janine talking.
Rich, I also could use the name, written-out, for Neszis (or however you spell his board name), so that I can have him in the overall credits in the guests or tips area.
At any rate, you guys'll dig it, particularly the Hanel interview. Fun stories. I'll be doing the official release tomorrow when I get home, which will be sometime around 4 - 6 p.m. ET.
Gah, I'm rambling. I'll update when it's up, of course.

Well, thank you. I am a big fan of Will. He is the Andy Richter of our show. Doesn't say much, but when he does, its great.
And don't forget the rest of the crew. If it wasn't for Ron and Janine, I wouldn't be doing this. There are enough shows out there with SWEndirect and ChronoRadio, but we are trying to go for a different feel to the show. We model our selves loosly around the same formula (no pun intended) as the Digital Llama guys use. We just goof around and try to make it feel as if you were across the table from us. That we aren't a show, as much as a group sitting around goofing off talking about Star Wars, or whatever comes up. I tried the one man show, and I didn't like it. I think Nathan does a great job at pulling it off, and the SWEndirect guys have a good source of comeraderie, but we aim for a closer knit group. And for some, they don't like it. Its not for everyone. I think if the show ever drops below 40 listeners, we will still sit around and goof off, just not record it. So far, around 200 of you guys listen a month, and that is great. we never thought we'd have that many. So to our loyal listeners, thank you. Thank you very much, and we all wish you a happy holidays.
Ditto
Me, Ron and Will want to thank you all for listening...and putting up with my annoying voice, Ron's history lessons (which Will hates), and Will in general.

Well, I regret to inform everyone that this month’s episode has been wracked with technical problems. Unfortunately, even our re-record session didn't turn out flawlessly. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/banghead.gif So the January episode unfortunately will not be released. However, Coming this February will be episode 5 of RotO. Thanks for everyone’s continuing support. We will be featuring a few more reviews than in the past, as we hope to inform everyone of upcoming, and existing fan productions. Until that time, go to starwarsfanworks.com (http://www.starwarsfanworks.com) and check out one of the inspirations for RotO, Digital Llama Radio, whose files have been recently acquired by SWFW.

Yes
About the "official site" which'n might that be? The offical site of SW? of fan relations, or the best site of all, starwarsfanworks.com (http://www.starwarsfanworks.com)?
I haven't advertised at TFN LLC or any other site besides the boards (and SWFW, of course) because I have always wondered about word of mouth advertising. We also wanted to iron out any programming and structure glitches before hand (we're going to be debuting a few new things in Feb). I figure in the next couple months, we'll start actually advertising via more boards, and news bites. But thank you very much for telling others. It is definetaly appreciated.
Nathan, send me some news blurbs and any major points you'd like for us to hit on the show, and we'll mention them.

just a commercial. 30 seconds to 2 minutes at the most. What would you say to someone who has never heard of your show. Make them want to listen to you. And remember that this goes for anyone wanting to advertise. And best of all, its free.

We have a new bit debuting at the beginning of the ep that we hope you'll find insightful about the movies and especially the community. We review the Episode 3 Audio Spoof, talk about "Digital Characters and Awards" in our vaunted Round Table Discussion, Read the article "Easy Ways to Make your Movie Look Professional" by Yoav Potash, present a fun game to play that's free, and the usual news, FanFic Releases, Convention News, New and Upcoming Releases from SWFW, and some info on the current running Fan Audio Awards.
We hope you all enjoy the latest serving of RotO.

hey, I am a trekker too. Hell, I even got a goofy look from my wife when I yelled out the facts that not only did the Nemesis DVD begin on counter 17:01 upon start, scoffed at the continuity inacuracies contained in the Academy class picture that Picard looked at, to even the blatent SW references throughout the film.
Actually, I am a sci-fi fan, and to be a fan of celuloid sci fi, you must like, or at least appreciate SW and ST.
And this goes out to all our peeps out there. Just as the RotO seed was planted in my mind when I recorded a couple joke commercials for ChronoRadio, we are accepting your goofy commercials for airplay. Show of your talent with silliness. Don't forget to send in your commercials for your fan projects. We'll play ads for fanfilm, fanfic, fanaudio, websites, resources, whatever. We usually play the likes of starwarsspoofs.com (http://www.starwarsspoofs.com), Betrayed Federation, Episode 3 Spoof, Coruscant, and more. Don't worry, its all free. We're here just to promote your projects.
And thanks for all the compliments and the votes in the Audio Awards. Stay tuned for the Official Starwarsfanworks.com Fan Audio Awards Show brought to you by us.

Well ladies and gentleman, the 2004 Awards Show has been edited, Tagged, Bagged, QA'd, and uploaded. We are turning a corner with this new episode, as I have relinquished the idea that we were a serious news source. Who knew? We shall now be silly. We are here to entertain, and in this latest episode, we present interviews with the creators and clips of the projects that entertained you from 2003. We hope you enjoy the show being released on the 1st.

Woohoo!
I can't wait for everyone to hear this one. It's awesome. Hilarious in the DL 2.0, DLPG, or late DLR sense. One or two more steps and we're talking DLR panel gold here. Funny as hell for fan audio community references, just like the Llamas for fan film references.
And next month...
Crap, can we say what's coming next month (April), Rich?

Wait for the 2005 awards. I have a feeling it'll be a lot closer. We're gonna probably be down to 3 radio shows, which means 7 or 8 hosts total.
I'm really looking forward to next year's because I won't have nearly as much out there. Instead of a radio show and six audio dramas, I'll have the radio show and one audio drama for this year's, as far as I know.
I've already got some predictions for next year, though. I'm interested to see how they pan out. But I guess I have, what, 10 more months to wait to see whether people come along that really change my current 2004 broadcast year impressions.

well, i must confess -- i have never before listened to any episode of any of the Star Wars radio shows. i know, bad amy! i finally actually downloaded all of them - that's ALL of them as in EVERY episode of EVERY show - the other day onto the new pc with super large hard drive, but it's way freakin COLD in our living room so i don't stay down there to do much listening too often. anyway, this ep of RotO was my very first radio show listening experience ever. aw, you guys took my radio-show-virginity! it was such a special time, i'll treasure it forever and ever! *giggle*
you guys ROCK! i was laughing so hard i thought i was gonna wake up roomie #2 crashed out upstairs! although, i have to say, i think i might have laughed the hardest at the clip of ChronoRadio with Nafun trying to be all serious interspersed with some music i've already forgotten. now THAT was funny. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif
i would say that i'm now going to immediately listen to all of the other episodes of RotO, but my fingers are turning colors from frostbite and i've lost all feeling below my knees from the cold, so i think i'm actually gonna go snuggle in my bed & sleep now instead. yep, at 10 am. hey, i work graveyards! this is like 10 PM for me.

Now the big question:
What do we do about the episode we'll be doing together at ConCarolinas? Heh.
And, Janine, I haven't talked to Rich about it in a while, but is the intent still for you and I to do the interview with ADF? Last I heard the con organizer was suggesting having him there for the live bit, but I dunno how feasible that is.

Thank you all for the kind words. We will address some of the comments and questions in the next episode of RotO, coming at the beginning of April
As per the trekkie bashing, I think it would be funny to test a little game show we will be doing at ConCarolinas. I think we may challenge them to a cross-universe trivia contest. Set the guidelines, and ask them SW questions and have them ask us Trek questions to see which one truly has the most universal appeal.

Well, the secondary staff, which doesn't get nearly enough attention from us, has been reduced by a third. A good friend, although he may be a troublemaker, and only do good work when he wants to, has moved onto a better position in another town. What does this mean to you? Not a lot. The change will be transparent. Chris has been one of our QA's (someone who listens to the show ahead of time to make sure there aren't glitches or empty spaces and whatnot) from the beginning. My hope is that he will actually get off his butt and sign up for a GS account so he can post his comments on the boards. But all I can say to my friend is taken from the M*A*S*H finale:
Hawkeye: Look, I know how tough it is for you to say goodbye, so I'LL say it. Maybe you're right, maybe we WILL see each other again, but just in case we don't, I want you to know how much you've meant to me. I'll never be able to shake you; whenever I see a big pair of feet or a cheesy mustache, I'll think of you.
B.J.: Whenever I smell month-old socks, I'll think of YOU.
Hawkeye: Or the next time somebody nails my shoe to the floor...
B.J.: ...or when somebody gives me a martini that tastes like lighter fluid.
Hawkeye: I'll miss you.
To my friend, thank you for all your work. And now I'd like to mention the other guys that help out, Shane and Lee. These are the guys that make sure everything sounds smooth after I edit them. We have no bigger fans than these guys, and their work is appreciated.
What Rick said.
Also, naming your kid Anakin is still geeky, and remember, I hate all geeks.

Some call us Nerd, or Geek, but we're all fans
As per the show, we will be going to StellarCon (http://www.stellarcon.org) and recording on the way and while we are up there. It is our second convention that any of us have ever attended, and we'll be speaking to whoever we can up there. We will be debuting a few new bits that may become regular spots on the show, and much more. We will be releasing on April 1st (or will we?). We have thought of doing a few April 1st gags, but then we decided against it, since we are making these shows to stand the test of time. But then again, its not like we've never done any jokes just for us either, right?
Stay tuned to StarWarsFanWorks.com (http://www.starwarsfanworks.com) for more info.

what reviews? hehe.
I wasn't going to say anything at first, but your right, Nathan.
Yes Ladies and Gentlemen. In a move that may piss people off, and yet still get other excited to learn, we will be tearing apart and analyzing every plus and minus of the two biggest Dramas out there, Rise of Nobility and Second Strike. We will look at every success and goof. These are the largest and most awarded Audio Drama in existence and we figure they can take the praise, and the negativity.
A disclaimer: We are not intending to bash or trash, but merely to point out the places where we can all learn from these great projects, and also point out the places where we can say, "We dare you to try to do better." These were selected as our targets.....excuse me, case studies, because they are from the first generation of Serious Fan Audio Dramas.
Be prepared for the comments of a fan, a superfan, and a nonfan on the two largest Fan Audio Dramas today, coming April 1st.

Peeps!!! I offer a question. A ponderance, if you will. Would you like to hear each team, RoN and 2S an opportunity to explain any of the things that we mention on the show? We could record it for the following months ep. Because there may be some things that we just didn't understand why, and you would be given the chance to explain. How does that sound?
keithabbott
03-16-2004, 09:58 AM
I'm up for it, but would rather do that kind of thing on the phone if possible. I think actual interaction would work better. I also think it's a good thing to do this the following month so whatever criticisms you guys bring to the table, we can do some research to find out if others had pointed out the same things or not. Considering the amount of actual handnoted behind the scenes self critcisms we made about our own production, it's highly likely one or more of our crew felt similarly or perhaps brought up things even you guys never noticed. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif
Oh and just to note, A Summer's Dream is definitely not going to be as stringent on quality. The main reason I think is that we learned a lot from RoN and many of the criticisms will be kinda defaulted in with this one. So I think it will end up being a much more relaxed atmosphere this go around.

We can, I'm sure. Personally, I tend to think that reviews aren't meant to have rebuttals, but more reviews, but that's just me.
keithabbott
03-16-2004, 12:49 PM
That's typically true. Reviews usually aren't rebutted (except maybe through things like magazine letters to the editor and interviews asking about x or y review that appeared somewhere). But one should also take into account that Star Wars fan communities don't work like standard media outlets. We are a breed all our own and rely on discussion to improve the art. If I ever release anything professionally down the road, I'm sure I won't get ample opportunities to rebute a review.
When you put yourself out in the public eye like that, you have to expect some negative comments and learn how to deal with it or flat out ignore the reviews, which I'm sure is easy enough said than done.
Nathan Butler
03-16-2004, 01:33 PM
So, Rich, the rebuttals would be in May?
And what are we doing for June with ConCarolinas. For me, the June stuff we record will be a special July ".5" edition of CR. Will the CC ep of ROTO be July as well?

That's the plan. But, if for any reason that we can't hook up to do the phone gig, we will definetly give you time to record a bit that we will play.
These are not going to be set up as reviews per se. More of a learning experience for everyone. The rebuttals are important here to continue the learning aspect of the situation. This way, explanations can be given out, as what may be construed as a mistake could be creative effect.
I think that maybe every so often we could take one of the major dramas, and put them through this process.
As per CC, we will be recording info that will be used throughout many episodes during the summer, but the bulk will be released in the July ep. Those are the drawbacks of recording only once a month. We've scrapped quite a few ideas because SWD was able to release a similar idea before we could.

Rich, can I make a suggestion? Even if someone else does something that you were gonna do, why worry about it? So you may have some similarity? Big deal. It seems very likely that whoever does it still won't have your take on it. It would be from your perspective and Janine's and Rick's (I hope those names are right) and that is gonna be totally different from what the dudes on SWD may have to say. Even if you agree with them, your approach is likely to be different. Of course it's your show, and I'm not trying to tell you how to run it, but it's just a thought from a new and enthusiastic fan. Whatever you guys do, I can say I am gonna give it a listen and if it's as good as the previous six, then they're gonna rock. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

About doing what others have do or are going to do. We are a community. I wouldn't want to steal the thunder of a topic that anyone else would speak on. Other's, why have an aditional show. Now, having said that, that doesn't mean we won't. We'll just wait a while, then do our version, and mention the fact that you can get more opinions from the other show, hence giving them a bit of a rub, and a few extra dl's from a previous ep. Its a way to promote and cover topics without us looking like posers (more so than having a SW themed radio show that is only available online) and be able to bring up the point after more people have had an opportunity to listen and digest the points brought up.

Good grief. We had recorded over an hour and 10 minutes of RotO goodness for you guys, when I was alerted to the fact that a fanfilm crew we interviewed a few months ago is going to debut in May, I rushed into action to dig up the old footage. Problem is, we've got an hour with them, and with the 1 hour 20 minutes with Zahn/Allston slated for next May, it needs to be squeezed in somewhere. So, out went most of what we talked about to make room for an interview from many months ago. But, its still good, it's still coming out, well, it's coming out anyway.
This month, we've got lots of Trek and you can here us sing. Its a musical. See you here in a few days for RotO 7

Don’t give me songs.
Give me something to sing about.
Amazingly deep for the genre the show was in.
My wife bought the CD, she's a big fan of the show, and got me hooked. And I love a good, clever musical: Star Wars the Musical (http://www.infauxmedia.com/), Cannibal the Musical, Rocky Horror. It takes skill to pull something like that off. If we only knew people who could sing and play instruments, I might be tempted to write a musical.

Well, the episode is finally done and uploaded, just awaiting its release tomorrow. This is one of our longest eps, clocking in at 2 hours and 12 minutes. And by gum it's a well spent 2 hours and 12 minutes. The reason we hadn't done a site yet was because we wouldn't know what to put on it. Please, by all means, put a list of what you'd like to see up there here. We'll take suggestions
As per doing it live, it would mainly be practice for ConCarolinas and DragonCon. We wouldn't run it nearly as long as SWD, but we'd set up a chat, and have a way to interact with the folks listening. But it all depends on how many people show interest. If its only a few, I doubt it would be worth the trouble. This wouldn't be a permanent thing, it would be an occassional toss out to our fans, and allow them a chance to goof along with us.
Nathan Butler
03-31-2004, 03:51 PM
Live shows, at least streamed, are also a lot less structured, a lot more prone to babble and wasted time. I can think of several instances of live talk radio shows, not just SW, but in general, where you could've done a 10 min segment that they spent an hour on because of all the circular babbling and a need to read every email or letter on the planet.
keithabbott
03-31-2004, 03:54 PM
I should re-iterate, if you can keep the structure of your show as it is now and make it live. I think it will work. I wouldn't want you guys to compromise that though. Because, that's exactly why I voted for you guys for best content.

*sigh* where did the good old day's of JediTalk went? *sigh*
Thanks for the input Nathan, but I can easily reply by saying that topics which could and should go on for over 10 minutes are way to often stumped down to the ground, mashed and then compressed.
As for e-mails, depending on the subject, and claiming we're the voice of star wars fandom, well it comes with some responsability.
I'd love to see RotO go live, it would give me an occasion to actually listen and participate like I used to do with JT in the old days.
But If you ever decide to go on live for more than just a couple of times a year (you'll see it's adictive) I'll host an all day broadcast of the shows we do.
I've been prepping this radio of mine as a test for somethign for work, I'll throw in some of the past episodes of all our shows and some Audio Drama, I'll come back to have you all hook on to it.
But yeah I mean Live IRS (internet radio show) are not as easy to deal with as pre-recorded ones, I can just take the last SWD as the perfect example. But it's always something fun.
be sure to have a good enough server with good enough bandwidth though.. cause you might be suprised
Nathan Butler

Actually, I was more referring to a show out of Atlanta on some Goth topics, but most live shows do have the same effect, even professional ones like Hannity or Limbaugh. Even O'Reilly (Gasp!) tends to do that on his radio show, much moreso than the TV show, which is how the pre-recorded radio shows are structured (like his show rather than radio show).
As for the "voice of SW fandom thing," I've always found that a tad arrogant, given that there it's not the only show in the language anymore, given that now it's one among several English shows. If anything, the "fandom" part more would apply to ROTO than SWD, CR, or Digital Llama. It sounds like claiming a dominion over fandom, much like TFN does with how they approach their overall site within the community. If that's referring to the fact that you try to get as many emails and such in as possible, then that would make more sense.
"But If you ever decide to go on live for more than just a couple of times a year (you'll see it's adictive) I'll host an all day broadcast of the shows we do. "
That might need some clarifying, as it certainly sounded like a threat. "Oh yeah, well if you do THIS, we'll do THIS! So nyah!" But I may be reading it wrong, so please clarify.
And, for the record, I never had the chance to listen to Jedi Talk live, but I did hear some archives, and, y'know, they had the same issue with the live broadcast problems too. But that's a matter of preference. I tend to prefer a much more succinct format.
keithabbott

I used regularly attend JediTalk but stopped listening during the last year because they just wouldn't change. They constantly wanted to hear themselves talk is how I felt. They'd ask you to call in, but then they were more concerned with talking about their own views based on your views, etc. than they were finding out more about what you think and prodding the caller to expand on their comments.
Maybe that makes sense, maybe it doesn't. But what I like so far about Star Wars En Direct is that they do actually care about what the callers think and don't try and steer the conversation toward themselves all the time.
But I think anything over an hour is too long. I'd like to see these shows keep a solid structure based around the show agenda and not let themselves or their callers run away into chaos. Sometimes less is more. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif
Plus you guys would less likely burn out.

Yeah Keith, you're so right.
The radio Thing Nathan is more a "Central rebroadcast" which would offer the fans a possibility to listen to all Fan Audio all the time.
But I'm really testing Real Helix for Work and I need to set something up so I decided to go with Fan Audio Radio style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif
As for the "Voice of Star Wars Fandom" it's just like you saying that you're carrying the torch, when in fact we all are, but SWD some more since I'm the only JT honorary crewmember still active on the radio airwaves.
I don't care about this whole representing the fandom thing, I personally think the fandom represent itself, we're just one way amongst others to carry it out.
SWD says that it's the "Voice of star wars Fans" simply because we know we stirred some water in high places, and we know we still are. I'm not diminishing any of the other shows here don't get me wrong. The reason for which we are live and for which we take so much time reading the fans mail (not our fans, but the fans) is because we want to represent them and feel the "mission" (I don't like the word but I can't come up with another one right now) of doing so.
SWD is the illegitimate child of JediTalk, when JT went off the air, I can tell you we all felt bad about it (the entire fan audio community) but I can tell you I felt particularly bad about it. so after some button pushing and poking, Lunatic decided to upgrade to the english shows as well.
And to go back to the " If you decide ... might sound like Nyahhh if you do this we'll do that", SithClan use to have an Audio Radio broadcasting 24/7 Star Wars Official Radio Dramas. so it's nothing really new. but in order to clarify things, I wasn't making faces at none of you, I was just proposing a way of uniting fan audio from all over instead of doing what some other people in other medium do and fight endless and useless wars against each others. (web wars for those who wouldn't get it).
The Radio Evolution Dream is still well alive in me, and one day when time and means permits, I'll definitely be proposing something to the fan audio community and I hope you'll agree to join force and help me out.
sorry folks, it's a busy/bad/crazy week so I'm a little (lot) tense.

Alright... let me be the first to say that just because people see spirits doesn't mean they're Force sensitive! >_<
I can see why people would make that connection, and perhaps Anakin shoulda asked if the Queen was a Jedi to make that clear. But it's never been established that you can't see spirits unless you're Force sensitive.
On the other hand, it has been established that you have to be Force sensitive to levitate objects. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

I do have a lot of comments based on the show I would really love to share with you guys about RoN. I can do that here if you'd like...do a call in for a future show or even do a recording to send you guys. But I think what I have to say would be interesting to say the least.
I think it would be a hoot though to do some kind of conference call with all of you guys whenever you might have the time.

I heard my name and it shocked the crap out of me. Funny stuff, as usual. I acidently spit some water out onto my keyboard, but no damage down. Hey, I was wondering if you guys could put the Gold Squadron teaser in as a comercial? I'd appreciate it muchly.

Voice of SW Fandom"
My issue with you guys using the tagline is what do you do that is Fandom Oriented? I have heard (haven't listened to the new one yet) that you guys are beginning to cover fanaudio, so that's cool. But hey, you guys came up with it first, so you guys have the right to use it. As per the responsibility of what you claim, well, it's your tag, use it as you see fit.
"But If you ever decide to go on live for more than just a couple of times a year (you'll see it's addictive) I'll host an all day broadcast of the shows we do."
I know that the true meanings can be lost in the translation, for lack of a better term. We had some emails and conversations that I could've taken the wrong way, but gave you guys the benefit of the doubt. I figured it would be retarded to start a turf war or something. Unless its done in song and dance. Or a walk-off. **Magnum**
Live. Like I said, it would be a way to polish ourselves before the Con, and a nicety (I'm hey, spellcheck didn't catch it, it must be a real word) to our fans. The reason why it doesn't sound like we ramble (more than the jokes) is because I edit the crap out of the eps. We're really not bad, but I need to look over my notes to prep for the next segment. As an afterthought, this really isn't much of a problem. I take 30 second to prepare for the next segment, something I need to be better at.
As for the "Voice of Star Wars Fandom" it's just like you saying that you're carrying the torch, when in fact we all are, but SWD some more since I'm the only JT honorary crewmember still active on the radio airwaves.
Hehehe. "Well hello Mr. Fancy Pants." What does that have to do with being The Voice of SW Fandom?
"I don't care about this whole representing the fandom thing, I personally think the fandom represent itself"
Nathan, didn't Darkhorse have a similar situation with continuity?
"I was just proposing a way of uniting fan audio"
Where were you guys during the fan audio awards? My understanding is that everyone was to be involved in it, yet the announcing fell to us, since Nathan felt weird announcing himself as the winner 42 times, and the no one else wanted to cover besides us, which in no way are we complaining. We took the ball and ran with it. I think that the only way to really do something like uniting everything is to cross-promote, help each other out (which you guys do with Tatooine TV), and not think of one show as above the other. I started the show to promote the fan community, fanfilms fanaudio, web, comics, and we've tried to include as much as we can plus our opinions in the mix on each ep. We don't seek out the big names, but if an opportunity opens, we take it. Zahn/Allston is a perfect example. Janine was talking to Allston for the hell of it, as a fan, as he was looking at tables. She was talking to someone when Zahn walked up behind her. Allen Dean Foster [**cough** namedrop **cough**] will be our only planned ahead of time interview, and that's because we were invited to ConCarolinas and they asked us if we wanted the interview. We sure as hell aren't going to turn the opportunities down, but I like to focus more on us, the fan community. CR and SWD can handle the big guys, the famous people, and we're fine with that. More power to you guys. But we want to talk and promote you, the fans of SW, not the guys who are SW.
I think that all of the show hosts have made their points, and that any further talking about this should be handled in PM's and privately, so no fans can misconstrue any opinions.

I think that we should definitely try for a live conversation between us and you, as well as us and Nathan, but be prepared to record a rebuttal just in case. It depends on everyone's schedule, though we should be able to work something out. That of course would appear in our June ep, as May will be our Allston/Zahn interview. If you'd like to, however, post your comments in your thread, and we can put a link in here to that thread, just so your comments aren't lost in here. But don't put out your best stuff. Save that for when we talk.

I felt the same way when I was first mentioned on CR and then on DLR 2 - the Reunion. Even though I am a part of a show, I still get a little jittery when I hear my joke commercials, mentions, or even hear that Nexcess.net commercial on CR (Its on now- I'm listening to CR 14. Its good check out. Hahaha. Nathan said, "JuJu," I love that word). Although I don't get that way when I edit the show. Otherwise, it might take longer.
Incidentally - we are not responsible for any ruin to personal property damaged by your reactions to our show. Thank you - Management.
About the GS trailer - I'll talk with you about it. PM me your AIM, YIM, MSN or whatever, and we'll hook up. We didn't put in many commercials because of the overall length of the show. It was a lot longer than we'd have liked, but I didn't want to cut anyones opinions short. I originally wasn't going to put the Betrayed Fed comm in there, but I think everyone needs to listen to that. It needs more press.

I'm looking forward to being on the show. There's quite a bit I'd like to expand on about your show's comments that will illuminate things a bit. Not necessarily show RoN in any better of a light, but make folks say..."ahhh..gotcha....I see." or something to that effect.
I was also invited to be on SW Endirect a few days ago I'd love to get this out soon if we can so I can get on their show in a few months. I'm actually gone the first two weeks in May over to Europe so the quicker the better. Plus it keeps things fresh in my mind for commenting.
I really want to keep as many of my comments to myself at the moment so to give folks a reason to tune into your show to hear what I have to say. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif Makes sense don't ya think? hehe

Ah, thanks Rich, that's just supercool of you. BF was disadvantaged, I believe, by just appearing on the scene completed. Unlike 2S or RON, it couldn't be hyped as it was under production.
I'm just over halfway through ROTO episode 7 right now, and I'm really enjoying. The RON review was great, though I really need to listen to RON first, and the 2S one is good so far. Any chance BF could be reviewed? style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif
And Janine is right-- The Lives of Dax is an excellent book.
