Let's face it ... the death of Sirius Black caught us all by surprise. At least, it really caught me off guard. I feel that, with Lord Voldemort back in power, there will be more deaths. The question is, who do you think is going to be next? Or do you think that, perhaps, the Order of the Phoenix will be able to stop Lord Voldemort from killing anyone else?

I think that Professor Dumbledore will be the next to die. I don't think he will be killed by Voldemort (being as Voldemort is afraid of him), but he is getting rather old.

The sixth book? That would be really nice to know, but I haven't heard any rumors yet. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif

My sister (leia) thinks that Sirius isn't really dead, and that the circumstances surrounding his demise were to, to....

I dunno, stupid?

Dumbledore seems most likely...but not until Book 7.

Darn it, G-boy, I was going to post that! Anyway, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Sirius comes back. You know what, I think Harry dies next! heh heh

Nah, Harry will die in #7, I'm sure of it, if anyone is going to die I think it will be one of the Dursleys, don't ask me why.

Hermione Granger cant die since its J.K. Rowling's favorite character (her own version of herself inside the story, so she cant die before the last book)

But Ron Weasley is getting kind of boring, he is now very useless and even his relatives seem more important than him in the story.

I agree ... the cirumstances of Sirius's death were really fishy. For one thing, Lord Voldemort's murders always produced bodies, if you know what I'm saying, and Sirius's body was never found. It just fell through that veil thing. The author did say, though, that she cried when she made Sirius die, so ... hmm ...

Point of interest ... in Order of the Phoenix, Dumbledore called Voldemort by his first name, Tom. Sure put Voldemort in his place, wouldn't you say? Almost like saying, "You're not special, you're not Lord Voldemort, to me you will always just be Tom Riddle."

When they killed Sirius I cried, I didn't think it was fair that HArry had finally found a family in Sirius and then lost him.

Though I too am unsure about his death. They neverwent back for the body. I don't think that Dumbledore will die till the very end, and Ron is getting rather boring. My firdt assumption is that one of the Weasleys is going to get it, like Arthur almost did with the snake, or perhaps it'll be Lupin. I hope not I like Lupin a lot, him and Sirius are my favorite characters.

One thing threw me off, at the end of the book when Dumbledore explained the prophesy to Harry he said something about that Voldemort would die only by the one he marked as his equal or something. I don't quite remember I'll look it up later, but in order for Voldemort to die will Harry have to die as well?

(P.S. Still looking forward to a SW/HP crossover fanfic if anyone is up to the challenge! style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/satisfied.gif)

I don't believe so. What I got from the propchecy is that either Harry will kill Voldemort, or Voldemort will kill Harry. I believe the wording is "For none can live while the other survives." You never know, though ... Harry might have to give his life to get rid of Voldemort -- his mother and father did, and just moments after this came the fall of Lord Voldemort.

Sirius was also one of my favorite characters, and it made me sad the he died before his name was cleared (although Fudge might give Sirius a pardon in Book 6, now that he's on Dumbledore's side again). Lupin is pretty cool, too ... I would like to see him come back again and teach Defense Against the Dark Arts. That probably won't happen, though.

A Star Wars-Harry Potter crossover, eh? Hmm ... style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif

(an excerpt)

Harry sneezed a bit from the Floo powder as he tumbled out of the fireplace into a strange room. He looked around warily, and was awed when his eyes fell to a wide window opening onto what appeared to be a massive gleaming city the likes of which Harry had never seen before.

But more amazing than the city itself were the myriad of flying vehicles far more fast and advanced than the bewitched Weasley car he'd flown to Hogwarts in his second year. He marvelled at these a moment, swept in by the wonder. A large yellow one whizzed so near the window, that Harry jumped back, worried that it might crash through, but it merely zoomed past.

Harry could not believe his eyes. He had no idea that when he followed Lord Voldemort through that fireplace that he would end up in such an unusual place.

Is this the future?

He tore his eyes away from the spectacle outside and began to look around the room. He'd seen Voldemort talking to a miniature glowing wizard in dark robes who had seemingly materialized out of the metallic plate on Voldemort's table. Voldemort had called him Master and and then swept through the fireplace with floo powder, muttering "Coruscant". Harry had always assumed Voldemort was the highest of all evil, until he'd heard him call that little glowing wizard "master".

Harry looked around. He so wished Ron and Hermione were here, but knew that if he had waited for them, he'd have lost Voldemort's trail for good. There was no sign of Voldemort here.

Harry walked towards the door and it opened... no it didn't open exactly, it sort of made a whoosh sound and disappeared within the wall, leaving an opening to another room. Through the doorway, Harry saw that the miniature glowing wizard was not minature anymore... and also not glowing! He stood there with Voldemort by his side.

"Greetings, boy..." the dark wizard said in a grating raspy voice.

Harry tried to speak, but couldn't... he felt something closing around his throat... like an invisible hand. The air was being cut off, he clutched helplessly at it, feeling his consciousness ebbing away. He then fumbled for his wand, lifted it momentarily, then realized he would be unable to speak a spell to cast...

There was a sharp buzzing sound, and a flash of red light and his wand was cut in half. He struggled at the choking and fell to his knees. He looked up to see a large man in some sort of black armor. The man was weilding a glowing red sword of light which cast an eerie evil glow across his helmet. Harry stared up into the glassy black eyes of that helmet as the life was slowly choked out of him.

He collapsed dead to the floor.

Voldemort chuckled and looked towards his master in the black robes.

"Thank you, Master Sidious," he said. "That kid has been a pain in my ass."

"Very well," Sidious said. "Now get back to your own galaxy. You know that here there can be only two... a master..."

"And an apprentice," said the dark lord in the armor, his voice a breathy mechanical tone. "Don't make me destroy you..."

Voldemort shivered and hurried quickly from the room.

Sidious shook his head annoyedly. "It's like these villians from other galaxies would be nothing without our example, Lord Vader..."

"Pathetic," Vader said.

Awesome kopernikuz!! style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

That was good, now we need the full version, maybe get the Alliance and Empire into this plus some of our other witches and wizards as well, maybe even have the SW characters end up coming through to Hogwarts. We all know Luke and Harry have a lot in common, it'd beinteresting how'd the'd react to eachother.

but definitly cool what you wrote!!

Oh, boy ... that's pretty good.

Maybe Professor Trelawney will be the next to go ... because of her prophecy.

Voldemort: Prepare to die, Seer!
Trelawney: No, no ... I have done nothing!
Voldemort: Your prophecy led to my downfall. And I must say, your usefulness has outlived you.
Trelawney: Wait ... the ... (her voice takes on its usual ethereal tone) the Potter boy will destroy you! You ... are in grave danger!
Voldemort: Don't waste your breath, blood traitor. AVADA KEDAVRA!!

Sorry ... I had a little fun with that one. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif

I can see Dumbledore and Yoda kickin' it in the Jedi Temple... talking circles around each other. Meanwhile Mace shuts up that damn hat for good with a swift slice of purple death... Obi-Wan is introduced as the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher... McGonagall tries to recruit young Luke as the new Gryffindor seeker...

"Then you must catch that little ball... it's fast and small", Professor McGonagall says.
"We used to catch Egrevian Sand Beetles on our speeder bikes back home," Luke said, "They're not much bigger than a snitch."

Chewie and Hagrid both rip off Ron Weasley's arms for beating them at Wizard's chess.

Leia gives Hermione hair tips... "Bushy is out, Hermione," says Leia. "Buns are in!"

Jar Jar and Dobby have a contest to see who can annoy who the most... it's a tie.... a horrible painful tie...

C3PO and Nearly Headless Nick pontificate about some nonsense...

R2-D2 heaves an electronic sigh at being the one character mercifully NOT an eerie parallel between galaxies... or is he???

style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif Funny! May I try?

Lord Voldemort and Lord Sidious sip blue milk at the cantina in Mos Eisley, but Voldemort says the blue milk doesn't hold a candle to butterbeer.

Padme Amidala and Mad-Eye Moody go to a top-secret location, and Moody teaches Amidala the techniques of concealment and disguise (being as Padme always seems to be in hiding and disguise).

Count Dooku and Professor Snape meet in an abandoned warehouse and share their experiences of being double agents.

I'm not very good at this ... style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif
