Stan The Man Lee. You just can't beat the original.

I vote for Brian Michael Bendis! He is the best writter ever! His stories in Ultimate Spider-Man rocks! I love his new take on them! No one can even come close to him! Well, except for Stan "The Man" Lee.

McFarlane (had to correct the spelling up there) was by far one of the best artists to handle Spider-Man, Erik Larsen was a close second. Everyone else is just copying their style.

I can't remember if McFarlane did the stories or not though.

Yeah McFarlane did write alot of issues of Amazing Spider-Man. But when he wanted to go all blood and gore on Spider-Man, he was fired. Cause Stan didn't like that. At least that's how I think the story went.

No he wasn't fired. He left Spider-Man after quite a few issues of the plain "Spider-Man" book that he started after leaving Amazing Spider-Man. Those were some real good issues (i've got Spider-Man #1 autographed by McFarlane around here someplace). I just couldn't remember if he wrote the stories or not.

The reason he left Spidey was to do Spawn. That was about the same time that Liefield, Lee, Silvestri and all those other cats left their books because they didn't believe in Marvel owning them. Funny thing was that Lee and Liefield were still under obligation, hence them working on the Fantastic Four, Avengers, Hulk, and Iron Man a few years back.

Oh. I got it wrong then. Anyway, I really didn't like Todd's work. At first it was good, but it started to get stupid. That whole "I'm going to eat your brain". Thing that Venom said was just so stupid! I like Bendis' take on Venom better.
