Can you name some other movies that Star Wars actors have been in?

Natalie Portman: The Professional
Movie about an assassin(she must have been 10 yrs. old)

Kenny Baker: Time Bandits

Mark Hammel: The Guyver (or something like that)
cheesy sci-fi alien suit movie

Harrison Ford: Indiana Jones Trilogy

Carrie Fisher: Blues Brothers

Billy Dee Williams: Batman Returns

Ewan McGregor: Trainspotting

What was the name of the movie that Ewan McGregor and Cameron Diaz were in together when he tries to kidnap her?

Can you think of some movies? (Harrison Ford has a million of them). style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif

Not a movie I know but did anyone ever see the episode of ER when Hathaway is at the convenience store that gets robbed and Ewan plays one of the robbers?

Sam the Man has been in a movie or two also. The last 10 years are obvious but does anyone remember him in Goodfellas?

James Earl Jones has been in I think just about every movie ever made in the history of Hollywood, or so it seems at times.

John Ratzenberger, Cliff Claven from Cheers, was in ESB

I can't remember his name right off hand, but I know someone will, but the guy who played General Veers in ESB played Donovan in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Warwick Davis was Wicket in ROTJ, and was a pod race spectator in TPM, and he was also Willow and the Leprechaun.

Jimmy Smits was in Running Scared (pretty good Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines cop movie from the mid-80's) as well as on LA Law and, of course, NYPD Blue.

Christopher Lee was in several Dracula movies, as the Count ironically enough (hmm? interesting coincidence that I never thought of), as well as playing The Man with the Golden Gun in the Bond movie of the same name, he was also in Airport '77 and obviously the LOTR trilogy

Better than what GL wanted for Anakin? No, the kid only did what GL wanted him to do, he wanted someone that acted like a kid, he wanted someone that was unstudied, unpredictable, that's why he picked Jake Lloyd, not because he was the next Shirley Temple.

Dude, that's not a good thing. To bring an unstudied actor into a majr movie where he plays a major role is not always good. I mean it works if they come off as a natural in the role, getting someone to play a part that they relate to. I know man, I've worked with Film directors. I took a class and in fact, just to add some humor to this, they used Jake Lloyd as an example of a bad choice. He was a cute kid and all, but he had little talent and they had thousands of trained young actors to choose from.

Example: Steven Speilberg wanted to do the Harry POtter film. Granted his version was bad, he wanted to cast a proffessional Haley Joel Osment. The studio didn't want him, so they choose an unknown. the unknown was very wooden in the first film and was noticeably uncomfortable. The other young actors had some experience, but he was considered very wooden. He got better in the sequel, but Jake Lloyd had no sequel to fall back on. This was the youn anakin's one shot, and Lucas blew it by casting someone with no talent.

Unpredictable? the kid did EXACTLY what was written in the script to do. exactly his direction. He does word for word the things he's supposed to do. His movements are very conventional and not extraordinary. Haley would have been a better choice (seeing as Haley WAS a blonde at one point).

I loved him in the role. He and Eric Bana had the best roles. And scottish is not a "gay" accent my friend. It's quite cool, and it's offensive to the people that read this board to say that.

Why should I not like what the man himself has to say about his films, films that I happen to enjoy?

You of course are entitled to your own opinion, and that's all that is.

I never said he was perfect, I said that he made the perfect choice for what he wanted Anakin to be by casting Jake Lloyd, it was of course entirely his descision, it is entirely HIS film, not yours, not anybody elses, the man knows what he's doing with his own work.

To a certain extent, I happen to agree with that particular choice.

I have the strangest feeling of Deja Vu. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

I have siad it many times, I think Anakins character was far to young in TPM. You haveto re-introduce the 'new' Anakin in AOTC. An older Anakin would have allowed Lucas to keep the same actor a character we know at the start. The whole innocence thing that Lucas went for didn' work with me all that well. But (to Bond proof it) Lloyd is the only real low part of TPM. I can still enjoy TPM with minimal grimacing at Anakin.
