I bought this game the day it came out, and regretted it. It wasn't a terrble game, worth playing once, but it could have been so much better.

I specifically remember having a terrible problem like yours (with the uncontrollable 360 degree spinning) in the Otoh Gunga mission. I also was never able to actually finish the game becuase of a bug ???

I experienced the same problem a couple of times. The spinning should stop if you die or if you reload a saved game. If that doesn't work, you may want to try starting over or reinstalling the game.

Something IS wrong with that game not only is it deadly boring it's filled with all types of gliches you'll have to rely on luck. sorry...
And no it's not worth buying.

I agree, I have it but is pretty boring after the first days of playing it and the final is so crappy (I killed Maul with a missile in 2 seconds).

Just out of curiousity, how do you follow Anakin through the Junkyard in that game? I've gotten to the part with the mechanical thing with the two cutter/slicer/grinder things, but I havn't seen a way past that spot.

oh yeah i'm having problems with it too on pc... like...every time i die, it doesn't like stop and goto the saved gamescreen or whatever... or likewhen i press esc to bringup my statsand stuff, instead it freezes up and i have to restart the whoel computer... also... i can't see through like rooftops and stuff and before i reinstalled the game, i could and now ican't and iwantto be able to, because i an't see when someone's in a house with a blasteror not!!!

I must be on another planet to you guys.

I LOVE the game and never had any problems with it.

I especially love the end section and have had endless fun fighting droids in that palace.

Question: Has anyone managed to actually kill Maul? I can sabre him over on the bridge bit, but he continues to moan and groan as though he is still alive. Am I missing something here?

I wish they would bring out a similar game based on AOTC but it seems unlikely now.

Personally, I thought this was an excellent game.
The graphics weren't great but I'd give them a 6.
The game lacks some of the great things that were in the
movie, like seeing the race at Boonta Eve.
It lacks what most Star Wars Jedi games lack,
Better lightsaber battles. I want to see more blocking
and blades making contact then just slicing away
at the opponent. They still have yet to make a realistic
lightsaber battle.
Now, the best Lightsaber VS. Blaster battle would
have to be in "Star Wars Bounty Hunter" for
Nintendo GameCube and PS2.
The Komari Vosa versus Jango Fett battle was
excellent and very amazing for a video game.
All-in-All, I would rate TPM an 8.

Obviously I love SW. I also quite liked this game - it wasn't the "Adventure" it pretended to be though. It was a simple shoot'em up/ slice'em up and it did a reasonable job of that. However, it's poor level design (Mos Espa being the exception) dragged the game down, particularly the first and final few levels on Naboo (the power generator level was terrible).

The reason the Boonta Eve race was left out was because of the Star Wars Racer™ game. Which was damn good. Even my non-Star Wars-liking friends thought it was a fooking good game. Especially on a network. 'Specially the full Boonta Eve race - thats a nail biter with four or more people.

Don't shoot the destroyers under the bridge because then about 6 more will come out. If you don't shoot them you only have to destroy 2.

I did it by running away and firing my proton torpedo launcher. The cheats help as well but I didnt use them. I did the last level by runnig past Maul onto the right and then shooting him for about 10 minutes with 700 blaster bolts.By the end I had about 30 left

You might want to save once your at the top of the bridge. Its tricky trying to destroy droidikas. The most effective way is to hit them at a distance and run away when you can. Tell Padme to stay and wait.
PS there easyst to kill when there just cominig out of a roll.

Hi guys its me again. Im still getting the queen killed. I took the stairs to get onto the bridge, feed the guy that was in prision and I still can't get anywhere with this game. IF you have any other ideas that would help they would be much appriciated

There really is no tip or tactic to make you better at games. Particularly this one. Mostly because of it's unbalanced design and general god awfullness. Wait till you get to the Power Generator level. Nothing like meandering around deadends, jump-able platforms that have invisible walls and constant reloads.

I agree. This game really could've used some polishing where needed. For this one it's hard telling how you'll beat it. I got stuck on the last level so many times (Darth Maul dissappeared and never came back). I love it when you get to the games final boss and it doesn't work. Lovely, just lovely...

You don't take the tank on. You climb around the back part and then you jump into the little gap where the battle droid is and hit that switch. Then you can safely go back and find the Queen. At that point, if you move with her fast enough, it will be "safe to proceed."

lol. i remember that otah gunga was a complete disaster of level design. it should be a model of what game makers should avoid.

do you want some hardcore cheats.... i got the whole entire guide to cheat through the whole entire game... ahhaha... but its more fun when you accomplish stuff yourself...

also i'm still having that problem where i can't see through ceilings, so if i walk in a hallor under trees, i can't see where i'm going and i get hit by battle droids since i can't f-ing see them!

The Tatooine level was a little hard I remember. Too much talking to NPC's (crappy NPC's) and stuff. Just work through it and you'll get it...and I won't spoil the end boss for you, but there's a trick (or a bug) that I discovered that lets you beat it like it's nothing.

If youre playing for real, don't kill the guards on Tatooine. I know its fun, but then Anakin will say ... "I wont help a murderer like you!" .... it's kinda weird.

But just save from the beginning of each level, adn then you can go into Mos Espa and have a shoot 'em up. Kill all the jawas its fun.

Yes, just before he comes out get yourself over to the door and start sabre-ing him. If he gets in the room, you're dead. But you can slash at him in the door and he won't be able to get in and after a bit, he'll drop dead.

That's the only way I could do it!

I rented it and finished it rather quickly.

Go and get some jury juice from the bar. Once both those drunk guys have had one, he'll run and find Watto. Even though he tells you to stay where you are, follow him and you'll get to Watto.

It's a hard level, and sometimes it makes you feel really frustrated. Just keep perservering. Or, if you can't figure it out and had to take the easy option like I did, look up the game walkthrough. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

Could be that your disc has a glitch, happened to me.
I was the queen and needed to push something somewhere, but where there was supposed to be a space to push a big box, there simply wasn't. As a result, I never was able to finish the game. I don't think I was too far from completion either, dammit.

This website's really cool for cheats and save games. If there's a bit you can't get past, just download and it will save to your TPM saved games file.

Actually the TPM game is one of my favorite SW games, it's not that great of a game, technically speaking, but I do appreciate the genre mix and it gives me that "SW-feel".
I really missed a game like this for AOTC...

It's only a good game if you play it in the traditional SW way. People like LeHack probably just threw a detonator at Darth Maul -- to really enjoy the game, fight him with your lightsaber.

Hey guys James I think the glitch is where you go into that room where all the energy beams are and you cant get through them. someone told me there is supposed to be a box in that room somwhere and I cant find it. I wish I could. Im just fustraited thats all.

Arica you jump on to the ledge, press the control panel. Then you go back to the original platform and take the block out of the wall.

Then you push the block to the lift and just keep pushing until you get to the section with the power beams in, where you push the block to enable you to get into the control room (higher up) to make a pathway through the beams.

There is no glich!

i think i cheated, used like 8 thermal detonators, and then he died. i don't remember though. then the game got scratched, so i haven't played it since.

i think you're supposed to fight him with your lightsaber.

Well Arica I'm glad you found a way past the laser beam room. Haven't been here in a while. To kill Maul, keep hacking at him with your saber. Killing him with detonators just ain't fun.

Yea there is a health pack, but I can't quite remember where it is. Anyway I'll give you what I think.. You know the door where you enter, which Qui-Gon is lying just in front of? On the wall on either side is a health pack. Sorry for the rather vague info, I'll get back to you.

It's not a classic by any means but TPM "The Adventure Game" (hmm, not really though, is it?) sure beats Bounty Hunter and dare I say it, The Clone Wars, in the gameplay stakes. At least I remember it being mildly fun and didn't feel quite so ripped off when I was playing it.

I enjoyed TPM menace when I played all them years ago. Way better the Jedi Power Battles. That was just HORRIBLE. I actually have fond fun memories of me and my Playstation, wondering through Mos Espa and such. It was so much fun Killing the locals! Especially how they all said goodbye to ya, and then stood in a barricade across the path not letting ya back into the city. Damn them! style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/saber.gif

Just wondering if anyone else found the Tatooine arwas very hard to do. I never used a guide, and I didn't cheat, so maybe I was an idiot. I managed to do it though! I LOVEd the level with the bits you have to find for the pods! And playing Panaka on Coruscant was way cool.

To kill Maul, first time I ran around like a headless chicken and died. Then I tries some tactics, kept my distance and just ran upto him every now and again and managed to bring him down! (If I remember correctly he moves position everytime you take down a certain amount of health...) I managed to kill him, but it wasn't on the bridge and he didn't fall in half! I tried many times to kill him on the bridge but I couldn't! (Once he voluntarily jumped into the hole, but that's just not the same.) I think it's easier if you just grab a rocket launcher and blow him up that way! style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thud.gif

Still, fun game and happy memories! Excpet for not being able to skip the damned cutscenes! style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/banghead.gif The FMV movies were way cool though. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif I love that game so much, I will never play it again, as the graphics and gameplay will be so rubbish in comparison to newer games, all my fond memories and stuff, will simply dissapear. I played some of the first few levels recently, and I had a lot of fun. I remember that I put it on backorder at Toys 'R' Us, and the release date kept getting delayed. That made me sooooo angry.

Yes the tatooine level was very fun and very fustraiting. My favorite level is the gungan city. I just love scaring all the locals!

Because it's not a great game. It's really not bad for a movie based game, and has it's moments. It is very linear with some incredibly inept level design (Jar Jar Log Jumping anyone?) but has one or two moments. The Tatooine Adventure is the only time that the game felt like it was in it's element; this is how it was supposed to be. The rest is 'find the key', 'Force push bad guys', etc. Under-rated but still pretty poor.
I'm not sure if it was ever mentioned but the controls were over sensetive too - press left/right and you were out there chasing your tail, flailing a lightsaber, hoping for the best.

I got it in the mail last week and played the first level. After stupidly trying to take on the destroyer droids and getting killed quickly, I made it through the 1st level. Very outdated, graphics-wise, but I still had fun playing it.

ok... if anyone can answer this... wow. just... wow.

back in 7th grade i was on the school bus reading some game magazine and i was reading cheats for the phantom menace game. there was like 2 pages of it. and one of the cheats talked about a button in one of the levels which destroys most of the battle droids for that level or something like that. they showed the player pressing the button in one of the pics. it seemed legit too.

I DONT' REMEMBER FOR THE LIFE OF ME WHAT MAGAZINE IT WAS. AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT BUTTON IT IS OR WHAT LEVEL OR ANYTHING. and its seriously killing me!!!!!!! can anyone help?
