The Strength of The Heart

An essey of the Star Wars charcater Oola

Oola, was the daughter of a clan head on her home world of Ryloth. Naturaly enough for her species, she grew to like danceing, but unlike most she had almost unparelled skill at it. With this she became very well known and respected.

She had became a role model for young twi'lek girls who wished to be come dancers themselves, she even became an idol for her young friend Sienn. And so in time she won the attention of Bid Fortuna, Jabba's Majardomo.

She and her friend was kidnapped for Jabba, after she had spent a few months in a training Facilty, Bid and his asistant, the human Jerris Rude, took the two to Tattooine.

In Mos Eisley, they were put into hiding, there the young Jedi knight Luke Skywalker stumbled onto them. He offered to help them, but Oola understood only to well the dangers of this world. She did not trust Luke because she did not want herself or her friend to fall into the hands of the wrong person(what would be the point of escaping from one person just to end up a slave to some one just as bad, or even worse?).

While Oola did not turst him, Sienn did.

Before the two girls could flea, Jerris and Bid returned. Luke tried to save them both, but he could not.

Oola attacked Bid, and doing so, gained Fortuna's wrath!

Oola had lost her freedom, then she scraficed more to save her friend, whom she may have loved like her own sister.

Later she was chained directly to Jabba himself, possibly a result of her attack on Bid(he could have talked Jabba into it to get back at her).

She was beaten numerous times, possibly by Bid himself and threatend by Jabba.

The one time she had danced for Jabba he pulled on her leash and ordered her to come to him, she refused.

While he continued to order she continued to refuse.

She was refusing to lower herself to be his private play-thing. She was fighting to keep her dignity, what was left of her freedom and possibly her virginity.

As a result, she showed more courage then Luke ever did.

A man once said that to stand up to some one took courage, but when you are small and weak, it takes even more courage.

Luke would have done the same in a similar situation, but he had his weapons, strength and jedi powers to defend him. While Oola, had no-such thing, nothing but her courage.

As such I see it not that she died failing to please her master, but that she died defending that wich she believed in with all her heart.

So her true strength, was in her danceing or her beuty, but in her heart wich she still had even though, freedom and life was gone.
