I wasn't sure how to answer the question myself, because I wasn't entirely sure how the definition of the word peripheral pertained to characters. So I looked it up and thought it would be either or both 1 or 3.

1: of, relating to, involving, or forming a periphery (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/periphery) or surface part
2 a: of, relating to, affecting, or being part of the peripheral nervous system <peripheral nerves> <peripheral neuritis> b: of, relating to, or being blood in the systemic circulation <peripheral lymphocytes>
3: of, relating to, or being the outer part of the field of vision <good peripheral vision>
For that reason I chose Darth Maul. Not because his visual presence wasn't prominant but because he had such a small actual role. My conclusion is probably still wrong though. Oh well.

Apart from the Star Wars theme music which makes me a kid again as soon as I hear it, I like the Duel of Fates cos it is a magnificent piece of music and when I'm feeling soppy the love theme 'Across the Stars'.
