I've been thinking, yes hard to believe as it may seem, I have been thinking about the pivotal final battle of the SW galaxy and the Yuuzhan Vong, some ideas I have would be:

Han ain't gonna make it, I'm pretty sure he's going to sacrifice himself to save everyone else.

Tahiri will try to take on Nom Anor in a saber/staff duel, and Anakian's spirit will protect her some how.

Kyp will die saving Jaina and Jag.

Luke and Tsavong Lah and/or Overlord Shimmra will go head to head.

Boba Fett is going to kick, well you know.

Ackbar on the bridge of Home One will kick, well you know. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

Vergere will turn on the Vong and she will kick, well you know. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

I don't think they'll kill han but you're probably right about Kyp

My thoughts on your thoughts with some thoughts of my own at the end. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bigsmile.gif

Han ain't gonna make it, I'm pretty sure he's going to sacrifice himself to save everyone else.

Nah, Han'll make it. If anyone's not going to make it, it's gonna be Luke. But, after that, who knows?

Tahiri will try to take on Nom Anor in a saber/staff duel, and Anakian's spirit will protect her some how.

As much as I'd love for that to take place, I really don't want to see Anakin's spirit come back in any way, shape or form. He doesn't need to, he fulfilled his purpose.

Kyp will die saving Jaina and Jag.

Actually, I think Jag's gonna kick the bucket, and Kyp will survive to become a bigtime supporter of re-forming the Jedi Council (and, if Luke survives, he and Kyp will form the backbone of the New Jedi Order that will survive for another thousand plus years).

Luke and Tsavong Lah and/or Overlord Shimmra will go head to head.

Now this is a very good possibility, and something I look forward to. I'd rather see a Luke/Shimmra fight, with Tsavong Lah facing someone like Corran or even a Han and Leia tagteam. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

Boba Fett is going to kick, well you know.

I'd like to see Boba back, but be a very, very neutral guy. Not supporting the Vong, but not officially supporting the good guys, either.

Ackbar on the bridge of Home One will kick, well you know.

Well, from the spoilers I've heard from a certain upcoming hardcover, he may not be doing so well, sooo...

Vergere will turn on the Vong and she will kick, well you know.

LOL. That could happen even sooner than toward the end.

In any case, yeah, good thoughts all the way around. I'd like to see in Luke in some sort of final battle, and if he bites the dust, he'll still have made way for the future of the Order. Jacen's gonna be important in the upcoming books, I expect him to do some awesome stuff in the Force Heretic series. Jaina could become the next military leader of the future in the upcoming novels, but what will her Jedi training mean to that? And, unless something drastic happens, I do fully expect Jag to return to Chiss space or die in a future novel. All signs point to it. I'd like to see Nen Yim come into play in a major part sometime soon (unlike the small parts she had in the Enemy Lines duology). Mara needs to have a crack at Nom Anor, that's for damn sure.

I think that's all I'll contribute for now.

I heard somewhere that DelRey said how Luke, Leia and Han will not die in the NJO. But it would be cool if Luke sacrificed himself in order to save the Galaxy.

I think you're right about the Tahiri/Anakin thing, they'll have to fulfill Ikrit's prophecy somehow.

That's correct. Del Rey has said that there's a new novel coming after Ep. 3 and after TNJO finishes that will explore how Luke and Leia finally discover EVERYTHING about Anakin and Padme after the NJO era.

Kinda puts a damper on the possibilities for Tatooine Ghost, doesn't it?

I didn't even think about the new Jedi Council. I'd like to see Luke become the Master Yoda of the NJO, then add Kyp, Streen, Kam Salosaur, Kirana Ti, Tionne, Jacen, Jaina, Corran, Cilghal, and Mara.

And if Han isn't going to die, I think Lando will, he has been pretty useless up until SBS, and not just in the NJO, but the whole history of the EU.

yOu know what, let's kill off some major characters. Some of them just have to go. Chewie died, so lets start from the him and go up:

Lando- gotta go. What's up with him, he does nothing! Only in the OT was he ever important.

Kyp- I like him, but he needs to be the heroic character. Sacrifice himself to save Jaina, whatever.

Corran Horn- (if he hasn't died yet) I like the guy, he should lead some big assault and destory the major Vong ship.

Tahiri- She loves Anakin, so she should join him. that's right, she should take the fall. Anakin will come to her before she dies, and sos and so.

Anyone else???

Well, there are some other Masters who, IMHO, are more deserving of positions on the Council than Jacen and Jaina. Just because they've played important roles in the New Jedi Order doesn't mean they're cut out to be on a governing council of the Jedi. In fact, there are, at this point in the NJO, eight fully-trained Jedi Masters serving the Order: Luke and Mara, Kyp, Kam, Cilghal, Streen, Kenth Hamner and Tresina Lobi (if you don't remember them, that's ok; Tresina was in Balance Point, Kenth was in Jedi Eclipse, Balance Point, Rebirth, and Star by Star).

The Masters should all be on the Council, regardless of how well known they are. Then there are others (Tionne, Corran, the not-oft-seen Kirana Ti, and perhaps Saba Sebatyne) who also deserve the remaining four positions. IMO, they should be considered before the Solo twins.

Before Star by Star, (and really, before I saw the before mentioned fact about the big three) I really felt that Luke would be the one to eat it. I just wonder if he did , could it be a better death scene tahn you know who's . . . style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif

Take this fir what it is, an uneducated guess from someone trying to catch up with EU after 6 years of neglegting it but from what i have read i totally expect Jaina to go Sith someday.

I thought Corran was already at Master status. I know he referred to Luke as Master but I thought it was like calling your mom, mom even after you grow up. Just wondering.

On the thought of Jaina going Sith... I just don't see it happening. I don't think at this point that she has a good reason or influence to make her go to the dark side. She resolved her loss for Anakin so I can't see that as being the catalyst.

Nope. As of Star by Star, he's still just a Jedi Knight. And in the Enemy Lines series, he's also still a Knight. He could be promoted at some time in the future, but isn't a Master yet.

I don't see Jania going sith I mean she already had her brush with the darkside, as so many Skywalker realtions do, and she came back, it made her stronger and put her deeper into the light side of the force, so I think that she will stay Jedi. But then again this is only IMHO and as I do not write the books I can't really say whats going to happen.
