As many as we tried , RJ and myself -Evil Lord Rocha- didnt found any original idea that would be of the preference of the members of this board.

So we decided to copy all the Radio Programs and TV Shows to create another waste of your time *cough* mean show for all of you.

There is nothing original on this :

-We are going to do some interviews .
-We are going to discuss (critize) many things
-We are going to give "Evil" Advice (yeah, pretty non-original, but everyone goes to those threads, so dont blame me !)
-We are going to receive some critics from you, our "loved" members and we are going to report all the hot rumors and gossip of this board (a news program ).

Our Top Story of this Really Late Afternoon (Pacific Time, Summer Time, dont blame me !)

Padme, the hottest one in the board ?

Many especulations appeared after the infamous poll "Who is Padme's real love' in which I got one vote...myself...after that pitiful display of popularity we discovered that Padme is still one of the msot desire female members of this board.

Her relationships with other members, her controversy and her famous 'Advice Thread" with Starra (previously knew as Flying Astromech Droid) has created an 'aura' around her...even if we dont have any probes of how hot is she.

Many say she is a 300 lb fat man , others than she is keeping her beautiful face to herself...but this diva is still the most desire of all the girls here...no one can denie that style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/inlove.gif

Anyway, since the polemical poll of her where she was voted as evil by the GS Members (led by Justin) to her escape just before her wedding with Darth Fabulous, this suposly blonde is always escaping the camera and only one member in this board knows the reality...Obi-Wan

What makes Zam's Speeder Howl?


The howl of Zam's speeder was produced with an old electric guitar. I play drums in a church band and I asked guitarist Dave Weaver to make the sounds for me one day after practice. I chopped the sound up with a synthesizer program and ran it through an old time spring reverb system. The idea was to produce a sound as if Zam's speeder were not rocket-powered, but ran on some sort of magnetism, perhaps in a field produced by the automatic Coruscant traffic control.

A good idea isn't copyrightable.

For example: lightning cannot be patented or copyrighted. Neither can the concept of 'spritefulness' or 'tomfoolery."

A historic example was when a particular historian published a book about the crashing of the Hindenburg (you know, the blimp? "Oh the humanity!").

The moral of the story? You may have had a great idea... but what have you done with it? If you develop a new idea or technique, there's no guarantee that someone else won't come along and make it even better.

There are varying degrees of plagiarism. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bigsmile.gif If Siamese develops a catchphrase, and then pretty soon the other threads have developed their own witticisms, that just speaks to Siamese's ingenuity. However, if the other 'copycat' threads take the basic idea of a 'show' formatted thread, and develop their own unique formula - then that would be an original idea.

I think it's good that other people have 'copied' the various advice and 'show' threads out there. Let them all compete for readers. One thread can claim to be the 'original' sure, but which one is the best? That's more important, in my opinion.

And, if Siamese sees something in the competing thread that he thinks is a good idea - he has every right to incorporate it into his show! Competition's a two way street.

The FIAK thread is successful (I think) because we modified the standard advice format considerably by adding an element of humor and personality to it.

To my knowledge, FIAK was also the first thread to have three advice givers. To me, it seems to be more of a 'personality' thread, than a serious advice thread. Our advice is often pointedly stupid and ill-advised.

I'd like to think that we brought the 'advice' thread idea forward a bit. Siamese brought it forward into a whole new idea (again - to my knowledge) - the idea of the thread becoming the focus for an 'event' - the show starts at a certain time, and ends at another. People can come to the thread and act as the staff, the audience, guest hosts, or as guests themselves. He's added a narrative element to the standard personality thread.

It's clever.

SS and MM are on the 'bleeding edge' of thread technology. :roll: The question is, can they continue to surf along that edge? I'm betting that they can. Yeah... surf on blood. I have issues.

I have speant a large majority of my time in Fan Fiction Section. I have even taken part in the writing of Episode III: Fall of the Republic. It had some rough spots, but one of the co-writers have talked about doing an edited version and polish it. But let me reinstate: The 'Episode III:Fall of the Republic' thread has margin for error of 100% in terms of how close it will be to the actual Episode III. But it is good all the same.

Sure. Lets get some publicity out for FOTR(Fall Of The Republic).

Well the basic plot is that it starts roughly 2 years after AOTC. In the Opening scenes Alderean is taken over by the Sepratists, in a massive battle. We finally see Palpatine's ultimate take over of the Republic, and the creation of the Empire. Obi-Wan then fights to help free Alderean, and then takes Luke to Tatioone, after he and Leia are seperated.

There are also new characters to complement the cast we already know. Ramen Septous is a sly,scondrel of a cargo-pilot, who helps Obi-Wan in the battle to take Alderean. Laef Conner is a young, idealistic Republic officer who is essentailially Palpatine's military informant. And one of the final signifacant figures in Episode III is General Jhon Anders, basically the commanding officer of the Sepratists Armies.

Overall, I think that the thread is a great success, and as I have said many times before, I do plan to join up with Lord Rocha for another project in the future.
