LOTF: Starfighter Discussion Thread

Discussion thread for the renamed RPG LOTF: Starfighter.

Basically the storyline will stay the same as NJO: Starfighter. You're a pilot in the Galactic Alliance assigned to Twin Suns squadron. We're going to start at the end of Bloodlines. Twin Suns will be embarking on both space combat missions, ground missions, and ground support roles. Some of these missions will involve cooperating with the newly formed GAG, which was the reason Twin Suns was reactivated, at the request of Colonel Jacen Solo.

The option for having your character as a Jedi is open. Though, try to keep your characters from being super characters:wink:. Also, anyone who was involve in NJO: Starfighter is more than welcome to use their old character. Keep in mind that it's approximately 15 years after the NJO.

Ranks will generally be starting out as Flight Officers, though for the characters involved in NJO: Starfighter can retain their ranks.


Here's a basic template that you can use, if you want to:

Name: Lowbacca

Homeworld: Kashyyk

Affiliation: GFFA, Jedi order.

Weapon: Lightsaber, T-21 reapeter, Bowcaster

Other: Commander of Twin Suns squadron, Jedi Knight, Secondary mechanic.

Background since NJO:

After being given command of Twin Suns squadron during the war with the Yuuzhan Vong, Lowbacca led the squadron of elite pilots to many victories against the Vong. He and Twin Suns participated in the victory that would end the war against the YV. After the war, Lowbacca resigned from the GFFA military to pursue his studies a Jedi.

During the crisis with the Killiks, Lowbacca had his commission reactivated and participated as commander of a fighter wing aboard a Mon Calamari cruiser. After the Killiks he resigned once again, hoping it would be for good.

However, luck would have it that Lowbacca would be reactivated again. This time by Colonel Jacen Solo and only as a Colonel. His task was given to him, reform Twin Suns and stop the rebellion in the Corellian system.

Background since NJO: After the war with the Yuuzhan Vong, Dake unlike most of the Jedi Member who left to carry on their Jedi studies he remained an active part within the GFFA Military. His main role was training future pilots aswell as taking part in the reconstruction of worlds that were devastated.

He was ordered to remain off the frontline in the crisis with the Killiks, which dealt him a huge blow as he knew most of the people he had and was serving with had been moved to the front. So instead he dedicated himself to his Jedi Studies.

However his time of being an instructor was over as his former commander, Lowbacca, had requested him to rejoin the reforming Twin Suns Squadron, taking up his position as Twin Six.

Name: Leto Aldriss

Species: Human / Corellian

Ship: T65XJ7-seies X-wing

Weapon: Dual Phase Lightsaber(violet/Blue), Merr-sonn Flash 4(heavy blaster)

Knight 3: Major Leto Aldriss/ XO Knight Squadron

Following the Yuuzhan Vong war Leto left the millitary, having joined as a volunteer and accepting brevet rank and comission he looked forward to some peace. He moved to the northern continent of the planet Falleen with his one time smuggling partner who had recently become more than a friend one again. During the Killik crisis he was present at the academy during Grand Master Skywalkers demand of solidarity. He was not impressed by the method although he understood why the gesture was made. As a result however he opted to not take a direct role in the conflict and instead devoted more time to training of students at the academy. His apprentice of the time, a Twilek by the name of Allara Leen however served int the orbital battle above Tenupe during the swarm war.

Leto accepted reactivation when the GA declared war on the world he grew up on, Corellia. He felt that this conflict needed to have balance, a comodity that began to feel all to short in the long run

[Jedi Master Elad Kenobi]

Name: Elad Serov

Age: 37

Species: Human

Homeworld: Onderon

Affiliation: GFFA, Jedi order.

Weapon: 2 Lock hilt lightsabers, (when locked form a double bladed Lightsaber), both with a Blue Blade, DC-06 Rapid fire Blaster

Ship: T65XJ7-series X-wing

Other: Flight officer in the Twin Suns Squadron, Certified Pilot and Navigator 1st Class, Engineer 2nd class.

Background since NJO: After the war with the Yuuzhan Vong, Elad left the GFFA and left to take a postion at the Academy on Ossus. He was a piloting instructor at the academy, and then was part of a sting operation against a band of pirates.
He re-enlisted in the GFFA after the Killik crisis and currently has 2000 flight hours in the X-wing class, over 200 being combat time. Elad has 21 yuuzhan Vong kills and 4 Organic kills (Pirates).
He requested a move to the Twin suns squadron after hearing about their outstanding sevice record, and the fact that they were at the Corellian front. Elad wanted to go to the Corellian front because he has family living on Tralus.

Other: Jedi Knight, Diplomat, Twin Suns Nine: Lt. Colonel, Leader of Three Flight.

Background since NJO: Like many Jedi, Leet had found himself being flung across the galaxy to help settle disputes on a number of worlds. Reactivated by the New Republic during the Killik crisis, Leet continued to serve as he has been called upon. While a trained diplomat, Leet is sarcastic to those he serves with, hoping to keep them away; his attachments to his friends still causes him pain - and he still carries Zhadar's lightsaber as a reminder of times past. Lowbacca's request to rejoin the squadron was heeded, although Leet firmly believes that cooler heads will prevail.

Believed dead by many, Egrog made a heroic return when he kicked down a door that helped some kid name Jacen escape some Vong or something. After that, Egrog faded into some slight obscurity again as he traveled around the galaxy. He was then contacted by old friends and asked to rejoin the old squadron. He reluctantly said yes.
