I'm pretty sure it mentions the 30th anniversary, too.

From the starwars.com Homing Beacon #216...
This July, Star Wars Celebration will cross the big ocean to Tokyo, Japan, for a three-day festival at the Makuhari-Messe Convention Center. Commemorating 30 years of Star Wars in Japan, the event is anticipated to draw a record number of fans from Japan, throughout Asia, and from around the world.
Star Wars has enjoyed a stellar history in Japan, and has become an integral part of the culture since the movie opened there in June of 2008. George Lucas has referred to the inspiration he drew from Japanese director Akira Kurosawa's films, and from other facets of Japanese culture, when he created the Star Wars movies. Star Wars Celebration Japan will honor this synergistic relationship by infusing the best Celebration traditions with Japanese talent and creativity.
Plans are in the works for celebrities from the movies, as well as talent -- including Japanese talent - involved in creating many aspects of Star Wars through the years, to appear at Celebration Japan. Fans can plan to enjoy unique exhibits, stage entertainment, and an exhibit hall floor, Star Wars Art Show, and Celebration Store featuring memorable collectibles and displays.
No Star Wars Celebration is complete without showcasing Star Wars fans, and Celebration Japan will offer plenty of ways for fans to jump into the action and become part of the show. Photo opportunities, costume contests, fan-run panels, and other platforms for creativity and fun are in the works, and fans should look for announcements coming soon on the official StarWars.com Celebration site.
The Makuhari-Messe Convention Center is located in Chiba, between Tokyo and Narita Airport, and is easily accessible by rail, car, and public transportation. There are many hotels near the Center, as well as hotels in Chiba and located along the rail line. Lewis Daniel, Lucasfilm's partner in Celebration Japan, will have information available soon on hotel and travel packages.
To sign up to receive information, including when tickets for Celebration Japan will go on sale, click here. For the latest news, updates, and guest announcements stay tuned to the official Celebration site.
There has to be a GS member who is going to this.

OMG Ewok parts in a box??? Ewoks are not safe in Japan!
I paid more than that for Cam and I to go to C4. You should go if you can afford it. How much to fly there and stay there? I wonder what guests can afford to be there?
