was wondering if there was any interest in custom made star wars replica here. Prefer to build studio scale models but will build most anything to your needs:vaderxmas:

Oh Wow! Those are amazing! Did you make a mould and then use fibreglass, or some other method?

at this point anything that I will build for others is in kit form one way or another. the SD that I will be offering will have some animated lights installed so when you turn it off it will look like it was hit by an ion cannon. at this point im just getting into scratch building with plans in a year to build up a 2foot ROTJ Death star. im scratch building at the moment a 24 inch star destroyer and have learned quite a bit.

Impressive Cougar! I particularly like your Tantive IV (Blockade Runner) model. If only they had made it look right for ROTS...

Sorry imp just a little more attached to the original trilogy. That’s not to say when I get some extra cash that I will not modify it to ROTS:cheers:

Oh no, that wasn't what I meant. What I said was that I think it's sad that the Blockade Runner in ROTS wasn't made to look more closely to its ANH incarnation (they look like two different ships. I think it's a pity that ILM didn't shoot and digitally modified the original model rather than creating a digital model). Your model looks stunning, don't modify it!

Yes! And do you ever deviate from color schemes for any of the modles out of interest or curiosity?

Very Impressive! Might I ask what sort of energy those Fiber Optics draw? And Also Where do you get the plans for such models?

cougar184
04-22-2008, 11:10 PM
I use 5mm LED for the lights behind the fibers and have those hooked up to a 9V 300ma power adaptor found at walmart. im getting finished with my test bed here and can maybe look at taking a few orders this summer for a 38 inch star destroyer. price with lights will be 1300 plus shipping if anyone is interested. Ill have 3 shots open with 1 pending order right now
