Although Order 66 greatly depleted the Jedi Order's ranks, with an estimated less than 100 Jedi surviving it, it was only the beginning of the Great Jedi Purge, which would stretched on for years. For some of the survivors it meant exile, alone and away from the galaxy where they would spend the rest of their lives. But for others, those brave few Jedi who would risk all to band together and survive the Galactic Empire's frantic search for the surviving Jedi meant there was still a hope that the Jedi Order could rise from the ashes and resort the Republic.

One of these Jedi was Jedi Master Dake Khan, who during the Clone Wars served as a General to the 8th Legion which was stationed on Saleucami as an Armoured Division during Order 66 taking place. He only survived Order 66 because of the heroic sacrifice of his Padawan was he able to reach his starfighter and exit the atmosphere.

Almost a month had past since Order 66 and Dake found himself in Mos Eisley, Tatooine. He had managed to avoid contact with any Imperial personnel within Mos Eisley for the past month but new he was being sort out after seeing what looked like a Dark Jedi within the Imperial Ranks searching houses and apartments. His only hope was to rendezvous with a few Jedi he had managed to contact in the Chalmun's Cantina, more commonly known as Mos Eisley Cantina.

As he took a seat out of the way in the Cantina he could already sense that he was being watched by someone within the Cantina but could not directly find where this was coming from. It was close to the time where he was to meet the other Jedi perhaps it was one of them making sure he was a Jedi and not an agent of the Emperor.

A lone man sat in a dark corner of the cantina, waiting. Stroking his gray beard, he thought back on the last several years on his life, from the massacre at Geonosis to the cold mountains of Mygeeto. He remembered the pain, and the suffering, all of the friends he had lost. Finally, the betrayal of the people who he had fought with for years...the dark side of the Force. So much pain...so much suffering.

Jorran sat in the dark part of the cantina, immersed in the Force. Even though he could not manifest it (for that would mean certain death), he still felt it course through his body. The new "Imperial Order" would surely hunt him down and slay him in time, though, erasing all the knowledge of the Jedi that he had accumulated. Even though he could feel that his death was eminent, he still felt a sense of purpose. If it wasn't for this, he would have hung up his saber months ago, after escaping from Mygeeto. However, now was not the time to give up...it was the time for action.

Through his earlier meditations in the Force, he had sensed that it was unbalanced, that the dark side ruled supreme. But even now, in the reign of the dark, he could still feel a pinpoint of light. He couldn't place exactly where it was, but it felt stronger on Tatooine. Perhaps after this business was sorted out, he would search out this fragment of the Force, if he still lived. He was certain that the Dark Side could not sense it, and he would leave it that way. The one flaw of the Dark Side was that it missed the minute details and small echoes that the living Force made. When they focused too much on their anger, they lost the ability to sense the small variations that echoed throughout the Force. He had had many conversations with Master Yoda on this, and the wise Jedi Master had once shown him how to sense such small variations. He heart ached when he thought of his good friend, probably lying amongst the dead on Kashyyk. He only hoped that Master Yoda had sensed the plot against him in time.

Meanwhile, however, there echoed a small disturbance in the
Force. He looked up, and saw another man walk in, one of whom he recognized from the Temple long ago. He memory came back as he remembered the epic lightsaber duel they had had back then, in front of the Masters. He remembered Dake Khan, for they had been rivals in their youth. Both had been chosed as Padawans after the battle, even though Jorran had been defeated. Khan had been chosen for his finesse and style with a lightsaber, and Jorran for his patience and understanding of the Force, as well as his graceful mannerisms even in defeat.

He looked relieved, finding some comfort in the fact that somebody from his past had managed to escape the brutal slaughter. He quickly slid over to the table, keeping to the shadows, and sat down without a word in front of the man.

Useless was perhaps the best word to describe Jorn Forzakas. A burden on his master and the order itself, Forzakas' graduation to Jedi Knight was a tribute to his master's skills, and for the some forty years that he had been a Jedi Knight the council had essentially forbade him from taking a padawan. His calling was to find force sensitive children and bring them back to the temple, never to train them, and that was his life.

It was his very incompetence that had saved him from the Clone Wars, the same incompetence had saved him from Order 66, and now, as he wandered uselessly throughout the galaxy, it was his incompetence and cowardice that saved him from being hunted. In Mos Eisley he was nothing more then a street urchin who occasionally shot glances of disapproval at the Imperial garrison - whose value, in Jorn's eyes, was questionable at best. Mos Eisley was a hub of illegal trading and slavery, that was it. No Separatists hiding from the Empire, no Jedi Master's who had evaded capture. Jorn, however, was hardly the type to suggest that they were wasting their time. He'd seen the Empire's methods, and they ruled through propaganda and sheer law. He would survive by staying quiet.

It was one in the afternoon in Tatooine time, but Jorn still lived by Coruscant standard. It was time for a drink.

****

The Coruscant dawn was a blood red manifestation of smog, traffic and sunlight. Antania hated it. She hated everything to do with Coruscant, the Jedi, the Senate, the Inquisitorious, a new tool of Palpatine, and Vader, Palpatine's new sword. She was above them all, she was the Emperor's Hand. At least that was what Palpatine had told her, regardless of what the attractive face of power had told her, she would make it that way. Everybody could be manipulated. Vader was nothing but a black-suited lackey to scare off rebellion, he was a symbol, like Dooku - but nothing else. She was the menace to be feared, and so long as Vader and the Inquisitorious thought they had the power she would remain so. The hologram flashed to life and her master and teacher gave her her orders. She was going to Mygeeto. How - he'd left unknown, she needed resources, so she'd use the Inquisitorious. Now all she needed was an Inquisitor who was competent yet pliable.

Dake didnt look at the man who sat infront of him as he still felt he was being watched from someone somewhere in the room. As he looked up, he saw the face of a great rival, a rivarly that ran deeper than that the duel they had in their youth but it ran through to them reaching Knighthood and beyond.

He had to put that rivarly aside, even though he knew it would surface again sometime in the future, as it was good seeing someone from his past that was still alive.

"It's good seeing you again Jorran, it has been sometime" Dake said in almost a whisper, so the next few tables couldnt hear them, "I sense that we are being watched from somewhere in this room. Is there another with you?"

Jorn's first drink was gone within seconds of him ordering it. He ordered another. Ordering a second drink was taken by some of the scum that inhabited the club as a sign of considerable cash on hand, foolishly, as Jorn hadn't payed for a drink since the start of the Clone Wars. Mind tricks were useful. But alas, some fool who thought he was smart stuck a blaster to his back and asked for his money. Jorn had none. He said so as ran his elbow into the man's face. The man dropped the blaster and then swung a punch, knocking Jorn to the ground, his lightsaber falling off his belt. He lay there, hoping the man would go away. The boot that hit his chest crushed that hope.

A small disturbance echoed again in the Force, and this time, Jorran recognized that it was the Dark Side. Someone in this bar, perhaps an Inquisitor, was hiding their Force abilities in hope of sniffing out a Jedi.

Snapping out of his distraction, he noticed a Barabel picking a fight with an old man, one that seemed to be emotionally crushed. He thought back, noticing the waves in the Force. This was a trap, one that was supposed to draw people like him out. But then He saw how pitiful that man took the beating, and felt compassion. That man was not part of the conspiracy, even if it was a trap. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. He looked up at Dake, saying "Excuse me".

Jorran walked over to the humanoid and put his hand on his shoulder.

"This one isn't worth the trouble. Why don't I buy you a drink?" he asked in a soothing voice.

The Barable turned and snarled, and Jorran felt another disturbance in the Force. He looked down, and saw of all things, a lightsaber under the stool that the old man had been sitting on.

Could it be...? he started to think, when a fist flashed towards him. Feeling the Force, he quickly ducked, sweeping his feet under the Barabel, knocking him down. The Barabel jumped quickly up and snarled, trying once again to hit Jorran. Jorran dodged the blow, having been warned through the Force. Jorran blocked his blow with an open hand, and proceeded to hit the Barabel with a couple blows to the chest and an uppercut. The Barabel staggered backwards, but rushed at him one last time. This time, Jorran hit the Barabel with an open hand, using the Force to add to the blow. The blow snapped its head back and knocked it unconscious.

Acting as if he was trying to help the stranger up, he also quickly picked up the man's lightsaber, reattaching it to his belt as he brought him to his feet. He just hoped that nobody had noticed. He looked into the old man's eyes, and said,
"Are you okay?"

MKX-222 made his way through hyperspace on his way to see the man that should have left him on that same forsaken plant to die, but that man had another agenda for him. One that was to be his destiny as his resurrector would say.

That man was the so-called ruler of the galaxy...known to all as Emperor Palpatine...and known to few as master. MKX had know been able to call him master, after he had brought him back to life through cybernetics. The same way he had brought the fallen Jedi Anakin Skywalker back to life as the dreaded Darth Vader. MKX wished he had never fallen into the gangster life and had just been a transport pilot. But that wish was long gone and now all he knew was the Emperor and his will to destroy those that opposed him.

He hit the swithces and starlines turned to individual stars amongst the black canopy of space. He exited lightspeed at about 200 meters from Coruscant space. He aimed his ship, The Shadowstalker, toward the now Imperial run planet. Once it was a multitude of metropolis that was wathced over by the revered Jedi, but know that is all gone. Now there is only darkness even as the sun sits high in the sky. MKX entered Coruscant airspace without trouble, as if someone was waiting for him to arrive. Was the Emperor that powerful. His thought raced as he entered Coruscant. It was about dusk as he landed his craft on a landing port outside the Imperial citadel. He disembarked his spacecraft and made his way to see his new "boss".

He made his way up the turbolift without an Imperial Guard escort. As the turbolift met its destination, the doors opened up and MKX was greeted by the crimson red guards that escorted the Emperor everywhere he went. they led him to the Emperor's private office. As the doors opened he wasn't greeted by Plapatine but by his apprentice Darth Vader. "My master gives his upmost apologies for not being here." The labored exhale made MKX grimace as he stood in front of what was left of a man now a machine. "He sends you this datapad that has your mission parameters. He has another disciple of the dark side on a mission. If you can contact that individual, you may have a partner. If you chose to work alone that would be up to you." As he finished speaking Vader left the office and went to his meditation chamber.

As he was left standing in the office of the Emperor, he delt with the fact that he was now a pawn in the Emperor's game of dictatorship. He thought about what Vader had said about another partner. If he could contact that person, he would ask about forming some kind of unison partnership. As for now, he boarded his ship and studied his mission ops. After reading them he turned the security system on in his ship and then shut down for the night.

Before Dake could get involved in the fight that just took place it was over and there was a lightsaber lying on the floor in full view of those around them, many with there eyes focused on it. He could sense the Darkside pressence growing stronger and coming nearer to them but still could not focus on where it was coming from, now was a perfect time for that person to strike as it would not be long before that user would have back-up from the Imperial Stormtroopers outside.

He grabbed Jorran on the shoulder and turned him around, "We must leave quickly, we have caused enough of a disturbance here." He said quickly helping the old man off the floor with Jorran. The old man went to introduce himself but Dake stopped him before he could speak, "We'll introduce ourselves later right now we need to leave quickly."

"There is a speeder outside of the cantina" said a voice behind the bar it was a member of the cantina bar staff. Could they trust this stranger, could it be another part of the trap? Dake sensed no lie's within the young cantina bar staff only truth. "Take it and good luck Master Jedi"

That was it the young man said something he should not have done, it was loud enough for the majority of the silent cantina to hear, all eyes were now focused on them. They didnt have the power to manipulate the cantina's customers minds into thinking that there not Jedi instead the only option was for them to trust the young man who had made their situation worse.

----

The pale twisted face of Joruk turned to face this Emperors Hand, he had seen many like her in the past few days all thinking that they were the only ones. "Better? Why do think the Emperor put me in this posistion?" He asked without wanting an answer.

"Why do you come to see me, Hand?" He asked, as he moved his dark blue robe so he could sit down with out tearing any part of the robe. He knew that unlike many of the Hand's he had seen this one would accomplish the task without failure, but what would happen if she knew there were many more just like her in the galaxy.

Antania turned in the chair, now facing the man who could hardly mask his corruption, "Why am I here?" Antania said in a cocksure tone, "I need someone who borders on competent to give something passable as assistance on a mission, of which I could handle myself but would rather have someone to use as a scapegoat in case something goes wrong." She paused, "Now not intending to demean the standing of this bureau while still sitting inside it, this place is still an organisational and adminstrational mess that is full of just what you'd expect in a bureau, bureaucrats. I need someone who can actually hold a lightsaber without cutting their arm off and believe it or not you pass that test."

Antania had no problem being upfront with him, he wouldn't be able to prevent what she had intended.

It took a minute for Jorn to realise his lightsaber was missing and another to realise what direction his rescuer and thief had gone. By then a Stormtrooper squad was in the Cantina and they were asking questions. Thinking as quickly as he could, he pointed them in the opposite direction that the men had went and ran out to the backstreet in order to catch them. The speeder was already running. Jorn jumped into the backseat as the two men in the front seat hit the accelerator. They didn't seem to notice.

"I am a former Jedi Master and now an Inquisitor. If you feel i cant handle a lightsaber then i welcome a challenge, but i asure you that it would be you who would fall" replied Joruk with a snarl, towards the Hand that sat before.

He looked at the woman, she seemed fairly capable, "What assistance do you need then, Hand?"

----

Dake turned to face the old man sitting in the back of the speeder and handed the lightsaber back to him before turning back to the front. "I am Master Dake Khan, former General of the 8th Legion that was stationed on Saleucami during the final days of the war. Who are you?"

He figured that Jorran could introduce himself and continued to head to the outskirts of Mos Eisely, being here a month Dake had managed to secure a form of 'safe house' for himself and any Jedi that would come meet him here. All they had to do was get through all the Imperial Patrols at every street and cross point before they reached there.

He thought back to his former command of the 8th Legion and wondered where they had been stationed within the newly formed 'Galactic Empire'. Would he ever come across those who served him during those terrible times?

"Unidentified AIAT/i, please identify yourself," a huttese-speaking voice said through the comlink. The voice belonged to an employee of the Mos Eisley port authorities. Probably a Trandoshan.
"This is Xandral Veyenus of Legacy II. Requesting clearance to land." Xandral Veyenus. That alias had served Exan Durr well during the Clone Wars, and it still did.
"You are clear to land in docking bay 78, mr. Veyenus."
"Confirmed." With that, Exan closed the link, and turned the ship toward Mos Eisley.

As he landed in docking bay 78, he got up out of his chair, and swung his dark green robe over his olive colored tunic. Rotating his belt, he made his two lightsabers less visible. He also gathered his long black gair into a ponytail. He was ready to head out. Walking out of the cockpit, the Jedi Knight walked down the corridor that had once served as the living quarters for a team of Mandalorians, and climbed down the ladder to the cargo hold and entry ramp. Lowering the ramp, he was met by a sly-looking Rodian in port authority uniform.
"You are not on the list of scheduled arrivals today, human. Therefore, MECP require a fee of a hundred credits."
Casually waving his hand, Exan said: "I don't have to pay the docking fee."
The Rodian nodded. "You don't have to pay the docking fee." He left.

Now I only have to find that Dake... he told us to meet in the Cantina.

Jorran looked at the old man who had so gracefully jumped into the backseat, without making a sound, and introduced himself.. He felt him through the Force, though. This man was a Jedi, although one of whom Jorran had never seen before. The man's living Force felt extremely weak at first, although Jorran noticed what appeared to be a hidden strength within him.

He tried to dig deeper in the Force, but another wave disturbed him. He turned towards Dake and stated blatantly:" We must go towards the Docking Bays. I feel the presence of the Force there, possibly of a Jedi."

Dake turned to Jorran, "Are you sure its not a trap?" he asked, even though Dake was the most senior in Jedi ranking he still would take advice from those around him as he not sensed the disturbance from the docklands.

Exan exited the docking bay, and stepped out into the dirty street outside.
We would meet in a cantina...
The young Jedi stopped a passing man. A moisture farmer by the look of it. "Excuse me, my good man. Could you point me the way to the cantina, please?"
The man frowned. "I take it you mean Chalmun's," he asked in a loud voice. Exan closed his eyes, remembering.
"Yes, that's right." But suddenly, he felt something. Several aruas, strong in the Force, racing towards him. Probably Jedi. "Er, never mind." He hurried to meet the speeder.

The speeder rushed towards the docking bay, only to be stopped short by a man who stood in the way. Jorran looked at the man hard, and decided that he was up to no good. He tried to feel through the Force, but could feel nothing at all. Making a split decision, he leaped from the speeder and stood before the dark figure before him.

The man was obviously dark skinned, bald, with a look of perpetual scowl on his face.A big ugly scar ran across his face, possibly made by a lightsaber. His eyes glittered strangely in the sunlight, reflecting a color not quite describable. The man looked at Jorran, giving a small grin on his face, almost as if he was waiting for this moment. Jorran gently placed his hand on his belt, feeling once again through the Force.

Jorran always remembered his training in times of distress. He felt through the Force, letting this man make the first move. New waves were echoing, confirming his worst fear. This man used the Dark Side, and knew how to hide it. The man, perhaps sensing that he was being probed, coolly reached to his belt and unhooked a lightsaber. Igniting it, the grin on his face was replaced with a snarl of fury.

A bright red blade slashed before Jorran, but he dodged backwards, the blade missing his head by inches. Kicking out his feet, he amplified the Force to send the man flying.

The man, however, was proficient with the Force also, and gracefully used his feet to bounce off the wall he was heading towards. This gave Jorran time to ignite his own saber, a brilliant blue. He looked towards the speeder and then towards the alleyway. He knew that they all couldn't risk capture here. He looked Dake in the eyes, and calmly said, "I'll find you. Go."

Without waiting for a response, he turned towards his enemy, who was currently charging, saber held high.

Dake abandoned the speeder and stopped as the Old Man jumped out of the speeder behind him. He turned back to see his old rival in combat with this unknown Darkside user as he ran down the alley way, if they were all caught then the future of the Jedi could fall with them.

As they reached the t-junction of the alley way behind the hangers there were two hiss type noise's coming from above, the type of noise only made by a lightsaber. As the two figures dropped to the floor around them, Dake noticed that both of them where quite pale looking middle aged men, probably seduced by the darkside either during the Clone Wars or during Order 66. There seemed to be no easy way out for them other than to fight there way out.

Could he trust the old man with them to be any good in combat or would he have to fight both of the figures himself. As he thought about this Dake unhooked his curved-hilted electrum finished lightsaber which had a blade guard that was similar to that of Count Dooku's and activated his green blade. His blade was met by the hiss of the opponents red bladed lightsaber while the other turned to face the old man.

It's a trap Dake said through the force to Jorran, as he knew that his old rival would be fine in combat with one darkside user.

------

Jorak looked down on the Emperor's Hand, "I already have the Imperial transport and Stormtroopers available as they are already under my command."

It wasn't until now they Jorak realised that this Hand would be more use to him than he originally planned. If anything she maybe able to get him closer to the Emperor so that he can take the position of Grand Inquisitor or perhaps the Emperor's next apprentice if he could kill Vader, perhaps that was too bold to think about this early on he thought to himself. What ever the outcome his Hand would be extremely useful to him.

Jorran dueled with iniquity. The man was savage, and would easily cut him limb from limb, mutilating him completely, if he could. And so the aging Jedi Knight danced with death.

The man was considerably younger than him, stronger, and quicker. He could feel the power in the man's blows, the frustration and anger that fueled them. This was not a converted Jedi, nor a cold Sith, but a man caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. This man was probably a Force sensitive man, found by the wrong people, and corrupted, probably after the death of a loved one. The Force seemed to confirm this, for the man was extremely easy to read, to decipher.

The red blade flashed one way, parried by a blue. The two blades moved so fast that they appeared to blend together. The red blade, being forced by anger, the blue by patience. The red flashed more times, in quick succession, the blue calmly blocking.

Jorran felt the Force, his ally, flow through him, giving him the moves he needed to survive. He ducked, he dodged, he weaved, with the blade barely missing his face by millimeters. It was then when he spoke.

" My friend, you are being deceived. You are letting your anger get the best of you." he commented peacefully, as if discussing a delightful topic on a summers day.

"Shut up!," the man yelled, losing his focus and missing Jorran with a wild swing. The man appeared desperate, as he was losing steam quickly. Jorran could have easily struck the man down now, because the man had stumbled. But he chose not to, rather disarming him with words.

"What have they promised you? What do you get for killing a Jedi? Let me ask you: Is it worth innocent blood on your hands?" Jorran pressed.

"I said...SHUT UP!", the man screamed, veins popping out of his head. He swung again, but the anger overtook him, and Jorran easily jumped over the swing that could have cut him in half.

Jorran looked at the man hard, and decided to take a gamble.

"Anger only leads to hatred and death. Is that why you are here? Because of death? Anger? Hatred? That isn't the way. If you contribute, you destroy the fabric the bonds this universe together, and individual lives along the way. People, just like the ones you loved, people just trying to exist peacefully with one another, in community. You have become a lie, and have insulted the memories of those you have loved and lost."

Through the Force, he felt the man snap. His Force energy became disconnected, and he charged blindly at Jorran, cleaving his lightsaber overhead. Jorran felt the Force through him, and pushed.

The man sailed through the air, propelled by the Force. He slammed into a building, making an impact crater on the surface. He had dropped his lightsaber as soon as he felt the impact.

Jorran walked over to the man, shaking his head. The man tried to get up, but fell heavily, exhausted from the struggle. He picked up the man's lightsaber, commenting, "You won't need this anymore, my friend. When you get up, remember my words. Don't let your hate and anger lead you around. You may have heard that the Sith allow for you to do what you want. That is a lie. If you let anger and frustration into your heart, they will rule your life. It's your choice: Will you let good rule your life, or evil? Take my advice: Try to make the world a better place."

Jorran walked away, looking for his friends, feeling through the Force. He felt a sense of danger, and realized he was probably walking into a trap. Still, he proceeded onward.

Hmm, if I keep running this way, I'll bump into them soon enough, thought Exan as he ran down one of Mos Eisley's sandy streets, drawing many eyes to himself. But all of a sudden, the strong prescences in the Force changed direction. They at the docking bays! Turning around, he started to run back.

Minutes later, the young Jedi rounded a corner, and was met by an awful sight. Two Dark Jedi, battling two other figures. Jedi. He recognized one of them, the eldest, but he wasn't fighting. The other man however, was standing with lightsaber in hand, emitting a mild green glow. Exan decided to help, so he threw of his green robe, unclipped his elegant lightsaber from his belt, and thumbed the activation plate. A royal silver light was cast on the nearby buildings. One of the two Dark Jedi had probably heard the familiar snap-hiss sound of Exan's lightsaber, and turned around, flashing a grin in the young Jedi's direction.
"Come and get some," shouted Exan.

Dake took no notice of the hiss behind him as he sensed through the force that there was no danger to him through this new being who had entered the scene and seemed to have been guided here by the force.

He elegantly blocked several blows from the Dark Jedi before him whose strength was being fuelled by anger and greed. Was he to receive a huge payment for killing a Jedi? Dake thought, had the Jedi become nothing more than a savage hunt across the galaxy.

As the Dark Jedi stopped to it seemed reassess his losing situation, Dake took time to move back into the opening stance of Makashi, which was a single handed low guard. The saber held in his right hand, and held at his side, the blade pointed down, and the feet would be shoulder width apart. The Curved-hilted Electrum Lightsaber held with the thumb pointing down the length of the blade towards the blade guard to allow for smaller, tighter, more accurate movements of the saber. The rest of the fingers wrap around the hilt holding it tightly, but not so tight as too limit the fluidity of the movements. He took a deep breath and performed what was known as a Makashi salute in which he brought the blade up vertical directly in front of his face, then swung down and made a rapid X in the air.

As he brought the blade back down to the opening stance his opponent made his move, lunging towards Dake's chest. He turned slightly to the side and flicked his lightsaber up cutting into his opponent's chest. The red blade of his opponent dropped to the floor deactivating as it bounce on the sandy alleyway. The body dropping soon after it.

Dake quickly deactivated his lightsaber and hooked it back on his belt under his robes and picked up the lightsaber of his deceased opponent. "This was to be used a weapon of good not evil" he said as he used the force to break the crystals inside, so that no-one could use it again. He looked at the new being that had entered and noted that he had some usage of Makashi, but not to the natural ability that Dake was told he possessed by one of the Master's he had looked up to until they became one of the lost twenty.

"I see you're still breathing Jorran" Dake said as he felt the presence of his old rival walking behind him.

In response, Jorran threw his lightsaber, straight towards Dake. The lightsaber flew towards him...and whizzed over his shoulder. Humming as it flew, it impaled another man behind Dake, one that had been sneaking up on him. The man let out a hiss of pain, and went down, hard. Jorran looked at Dake and smiled.

"Maybe you should be focusing on the Force, and battle, instead of making digs at an old rival," he stated conversationally, ribbing his compatriot. He walked past Dake and to the man who was lying mortally wounded at his feet. He picked up his lightsaber and searched the man, finding a datapad.

Scrolling the datapad, he found a message:

When you are finished with the handful of Jedi in the cantina, meet me in the Jarred Stone. You know where.

There was no signature. Jorran looked at Dake, knowing the full significance of the situation.

"It appears, my old friend, we have a leak."

He also noticed the presence of another Jedi, the one they had been looking for. He greeted him: "I am Jorran, a Jedi Knight of the former Republic."

Turning back to Dake, he said: We need to find this "Jarred Stone". I don't think its here, but probably an off planet location. Do you have any information sources here that we can use?"

Dake hadn't even noticed the man who Jorran had taken out, until the man had hit the floor. He had his attentions focused elsewhere. He turned to face the new Jedi, whom Jorran had just introduced himself to.

"I am Master Dake Khan, former General of the 8th Legion" Dake said to the man waiting for a reply to who he was. He turned back to Jorran, "There is one contact i have here but i haven't heard from him in a few days, I have heard rumours that he was arrested by Imperial Stormtroopers. Any suggestions?"

He quickly scanned the area around them, he was expecting more of them or at least someone with some skill and power to face them. He stretched and turned to face everyone, "I believe we have over stayed our welcome on Tatooine, we must leave soon but we also have another pressing matter at hand that needs to be sorted as soon as we can"

Jorran stroked his beard. This was quite a predicament, but these days, what wasn't? He pondered some complicated matters in his head for a few moments, and turned to Dake.

"I'll find out what I can about this "Jarred Stone" place while you prep the ship for takeoff. If we can find out who has been sending assassins after us, then we can move with much more stealth through some of the darker parts of the galaxy. What is this pressing matter that need our attention?"

He nodded to the two other members of their team, both of which were looking slightly lost and confused.

"Yes we must find out who or what is behind these attacks" Dake replied to Jorran, "Take the other two with you, you might need some help. I'll see to the ship myself."

Although it probably seemed to Jorran that Dake didn't think he was capable to do the job by himself, he thought it best they he had some form of back-up incase things got out of hand. Plus it would be easier for Dake to evade the probably alerted Imperial pressence here, and possibly more assassins.

Dake left the group with Jorran as he ran down the alley way towards the main street and the hanagers. He was using the force to guide him, allowing him to focus on those around him and blend into the background of the busy street.

He was sure that they would be followed and possibly that Imperial Stormtroopers could be searching for the reported Jedi. If he was caught or the group discovered they wouldn't have much chance of making it off the planet. He must get the ship ready quickly and possible find away of diverting the Stormtroopers.

Jorran sat in a cantina, sipping a Juma Juice. He was weary, tired of the constant hunt. His two protégés sat in various other places of the bar, also being innocuous. Both seemed a little bit out of it, and he couldn't be sure of their intended identities...or allegiances.

All he knew was that they had to get off planet...the danger was simply too great. Where the Jedi assembled...the Emperor's apprentice, Vader, was sure to follow. The stormtroopers were bound to have found the body that Dake had left. Also complicating matters was the Force user that Jorran himself had disarmed with words...he was bound to wake up shortly. Also, the Force was giving him every indication that they were being followed...but it was uncertain as to what. It was time for action.

Without warning, a man sat down next to Jorran, and ordered a Corellian Ale. Turning to the man, Jorran whispered into his ear three simple words: "The Jarred Stone." Smiling, the man fidgeted with something under the table, and turning to Jorran, said in a loud voice, "Sure, I'll buy you a drink." Being innocuous, he handed Jorran a datapad under the table. Smiling, Jorran took the drink, and said with a low voice "Thanks, Karag. I appreciate the info." With that, he threw down some coins on the table, some for the drinks and some for the information.

Getting up, he slowly made his way from the bar. Thanks to his contact, he had the information on the Jarred Stone, which appeared to be an exclusive club on Coruscant. As he left the bar, his two friends came out as well. Unfortunately for the three of them, they stood in the path of a large grouping of Stormtroopers, the leader of which demanded that they turn out their pockets. It appeared as if they were looking for lightsabers...and would soon find them...but not in the way they expected.

As Dake approached what would appear to be the central Imperial Garrison within Mos Eisley he noticed a small transport blasting off into the atmosphere which from what he heard from passers by that the crew onboard had caused quite a stir with the Imperials. So was it possible that the Imperials could have over looked his own situation?

He was wrong, as he searched out with the force the Jedi Master sensed that they were searching everywhere for other collaborates and there was passers by talking about they were searching for other Jedi. He flashed back to that moment his loyal Clones of the 8th Legion had turned on him on Saleucami. He witnessed yet again another vision of his Padawan being cut down by blaster fire, himself unable to help.

He wiped the sweat from his head with his hand; the heat from Tatooine was finally getting to aging Jedi Master. He thought to where he would be if Order 66 had never taken place and the war was over, he knew he would have sent his Padawan for the Jedi Trials by now and could have either been appointed to the Jedi High Council or been on one of the Jedi Enclave Councils. He certainly would never have had found himself on Tatooine.

He studied the Garrison before him, looking for a place to enter unnoticed so that he may disrupt the Stormtroopers so that they may leave unnoticed and unchecked by the Imperial Patrols and the Imperial Star Destroyers orbiting the planet. There it was a crumbling wall near the rear of the garrison; it appeared that very few came down this way so he would easily slip through the small gap.

He managed to squeeze through the gap without causing the wall to deteriorate any further and without alerting any nearby Imperials. He thought whether it would be a good idea to find a disguise or just keep going as he was. He decided that getting a disguise would possibly be the worst idea he had came up within the last few hours as they would easily recognize him as not one of their own.

Dake moved around the back of what seemed to be the garrisons command centre. It was a small two storey building that like many of the Tatooine buildings around the compound was a sandy colour, the only thing that made it any different was large wall surrounding the compound and the two or three barracks and hangar that were near by plus.

His best bet was to reach the second floor, but this would be possibly exposing himself to the Imperials around there. He began looking around and searching with the force any other way in and found no other, so instead he used his skills with the force to search the area for Imperial Stormtroopers as he moved inside and up the stairs.

He quickly ran up the stairs and turned towards the large console in front of him, here he could disrupt the Imperials for a short time while they made there escape. Suddenly behind him quite unexpected two Imperial Stormtroopers raised there weapons.

"Halt" said the first of the two Stormtroopers as he pointed his E-11 blaster towards him. "Identify yourself!"

Dake turned around and faced the two Stormtroopers, "I am Jedi Master Dake Khan." He replied as he used the force to bring up his Curved-hilted Electrum Lightsaber to his right hand and activated the green blade. He held his Curved-hilted Electrum Lightsaber with his thumb pointing down the length of the blade towards the blade guard to allow for smaller, tighter, more accurate movements of the saber. The rest of the fingers wrap around the hilt holding it tightly, but not so tight as too limit the fluidity of the movements. He took a deep breath and performed what was known as a Makashi salute in which he brought the blade up vertical directly in front of his face, then swung down and made a rapid X in the air. Within in seconds of two Stormtroopers realising what was happening, Dake decapitated both of them and had quickly returned his lightsaber to his belt.

He moved back towards the console and made a report about a disturbance on the other side of Mos Eisley involving several shootings of Imperial's. This would get them off the track of them and allow them to escape. Now all he had to do was get out of the garrison and find Jorran.

Jorran pulled his saber from the Stormtrooper captain's body. He wasn't a bad man...he was just following orders. It was a pity that Jorran had had to kill him. Very unfortunate indeed.

He looked to his comrades, all of which were finishing up the battle around him. It was quick and brutal...they needed to put them out of their misery as soon as they could. The last stormtrooper hit the ground, and they three proceeded to the docking bay. The rendezvous time was soon approaching...hopefully Dake would find him soon. Otherwise, they may be forced to leave him. There was too much at stake to be sentimental like that.

Jorran was feeling some deep dark ripples in the Force. The newly crowned emperor had felt his presence...that much he was sure of. Soon the planet would be crawling with stormtroopers and, most likely, this new "Darth Vader", whoever he was. He had only caught whispers of the man, a lost Jedi who had supposedly betrayed the order and killed some of the best Jedi Knights, including Cin Drallig and maybe even Obi-Wan Kenobi. It was just a rumor, though, and he couldn't be sure of it's validity. One thing was sure, however, and that was that all those who had faced him in combat had been killed, and although he was real, people spoke his name with fear, almost as if he was a mere legend.

Coming back to the present, however, he felt sure that Dake would find them at this so called Docking Bay 94. All he would half to do would be to feel the ripples in the Force that were left in the wake of the battles they were in, and follow the trail of dead bodies.

Strolling down the streets, he noticed one last patrol guarding the docking bay. They were quite a sizeable force; evidently the Empire did not want anyone to get off planet with the Jedi...it was evidence that the Imperials knew of the Jedi presence. Jorran grimaced and strolled up to the first trooper, ready to get into another battle.

"Well of course I have a permit..." As Elad said this, the parking attendant took the 500 credit bribe from elad's cupped hand.
"Di tooshka Be Spebloo..[And you name is...]"
"Mr John Doe."
On that note, Elad spun on his heel, leaving the Rodian parking attendant standing next to his Modified ship, the Gambler. She was a Beauty, built to haul Light cargo and able to make 0.5 past lightspeed. It was hard to pilot her with only himself, but the slave device he had fitted at his last port of call, Onderon, helped.
Elad continued down the docking tube and stopped by the door as he waited for the atmosphere inside the tube to change to the right pressure. Quickly, the hot humid air of the jungle of Onderon changed to the dry, dusty air of Tatooine.

It hadn't taken Dake long to leave the garrison in the same way that he had entered, most of the Imperial Patrols had disappeared heading for the other side of Mos Eisley, but he still wasn't sure whether this plan would fully work.

He used his senses to reach out and find the location of his old rival, which didnt seem far away from Docking Bay 94. He checked that his Curved-hilted Electrum Lightsaber was secured to his belt before his began to run. Towards Jorrans location.

His mind wandered as he reached Jorran about who this 'Darth Vader' could be and how many Jedi he had slaughtered in the way that his very own legion tried to do to him and would he come into contact with them again, would they recognize him and perhaps follow his orders?
