The LOTF books are the latest installment of the the EU in book form, and now, half way through the series, EU fans are met with revelations in the Legacy Comic series about Jedi, Vong, Sith and other assorted characters.

Based on the similar names/release dates/concept lines in the series, where do EU fans or SW fans in general see the EU going from here. Legacy has a potential for a decently long comic run, but where do the books go from here, especially as Del Rey comes to the close of it initial contract...

Thoughts?

I think they will want to get to the end of Luke Skywalkers life, get the last 4 books of LOTF done and see where we are at, either Jacen or one of the big 3 will die, and I guess we'll see what happens from there.

I'm hoping that they don't kill of Luke at the end of this series, I'd really like to see a more solid relationship with him and his son post-LOTF. As for one of the other big 3...well, if it was to be anyone I wouldn't mind as much if it was Han. I think it'd spur other people into action against Jacen, and I'd really like to see Leia take on an apprentice and become a Master.

I mean if they killed off Luke, who'd suceed him as Grand Master? How would the Order decide? Would he die after killing Jacen? If he killed Jacen, how would that change his relationship with the Solo's? Who would Ben live with? And would he finish his training?

Too many questions!

I really doubt it'll be Luke who dies at the end of LOTF, he's done so much and would people still be interested then, I mean the story would then continue seeing Ben take up his fathers place with Han and Leia growing old, I don't think as many fans would read it.

I don't think Luke will die, but I could definitely see Han being killed off, especially by Jacen. I could see Han and Leia confronting Jacen one last time, and Jacen just takes Han out. It would work best if this was in one of the next books so, like Kinnon said, it would spur other people into going against Jacen.

I do wonder about whether or not Jacen actually gains control of the GA. I know that it is the GA still in the first Legacy comic, but I'm not sure if Jacen would change the name of the government to suit his needs. I think he would, like Palpy before him, but then I couldn't see the "good guys" going back to using the name GA. That leads me to believe that Jacen never really assumes power in the LOTF series.

I'd like to see a few minor connections such as House Fel taking power in the Remnant, but the hundred year timeframe is still a lot of time to play with. Considering all the post-ROTJ novels, which I'd say off the top of my head is eight to ninety percent of EU books, only covers around forty years still gives major leg room to work with.

I think they'll introduce Krayt's Sith in the LOTF series. I've read the synopsis for one of the upcoming books and it mentions another group of Sith, although doesn't say which one etc so we might find them being introduced.

And give us K'Kruhk!

MK, where? Which one?

I have an inkling that Luke will be killed off. Some death similar to Obi-Wans, that takes out Jacen. Ben is around. Maybe Ben then takes out Jacen, and has a moment with his father a la Episode I Obi and Qui-Gon.

I agree that there's plenty of room to play with, but I want to see some definate similarities between the two series show up in the books. I want to start to see the change.
