TNEGC
TNEGTC

I keep thinking Old Testament for OT instead of Old Trilogy. I'd prefer CT for Classic Trilogy, but I think OT is too engrained to change it now.

style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif I was thinking that just tonight as I was filling out an instructor review for my Old Testament class. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif
Though, in my mind, OT (on this board) is for Original Trilogy, instead of Old Trilogy. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

I don't know about that TOS one. Typically on other message boards TOS refers to the Terms of Service(ie the rules of the board). Hence TOS violation, etc.
I personally refer to it as SW.com, but you're the expert so style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/giveup.gif

^ Star Trek geeks use TOS to mean The Original Series, as an aside...

Yeah, that's one of the downsides of being at ST boards, distinguishing between the two.

Nope. I'm not an expert. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif I think everyone has their own variations for some abbreviations. I usually type sw.com, too, but I have seen it TOS as well.
Some of the abbreviations you'll see are also used for GS member nicknames. Examples:
DS = Death Star and Darth Solo
SS = SuperShadow and Siamese Sith
RM = Rick McCallum and Red Mirax
You kind of have to go by context in some cases.

The official name is Galactic Federation of Free Alliances, so, yes, you could use GFFA for that. But since it's usually truncated to "Galactic Alliance" in the books, people usually just use GA which also avoids confusion with the original definition of GFFA. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

From what I've read, Dark_Knight 37 is an odd ball who was telling TFN porkies and then went to the MF to tell porkies. He was the one who told TFN that the title was "Birth of an Empire" (which its not cause he made that up). Basically, TFN have been posting a fair few whoopsies in the last few weeks due to this guy. Which is funny depending on your point of view...

Wow, I didn't realize just how many abbrev I use w/o even thinking! LOL
Since no one else has mentioned it in this thread yet:
ROTS is the official abbrev for Revenge of the Sith, although I'm not using it my column until after I see the movie (and If I do decide to use it after Episode III, that means I'm not a happy camper)
It's not because I don't like the official title of Episode III, actually I do like it very much, I just don't like the acronym.
