Okay, here's the point where you can let out your wildest wishes. What books would you like to see published? What stories would you like to see told?
Some of my ideas:
The Archives of the Jedi Order
by James Luceno (Hardcover):
A Silmarillion-like look at the origins of the Jedi, the Sith, and their utilization of the Force, as well as the truth behind the origin of the Skywalkers. This would all be written as if by a Jedi just days after Order 66, attempting to get all of the information secure before Palpatine destroys it.
The Great Sith Holocron
by James Luceno (Paperback)
Tying into the Archives of the Jedi Order, this book would cover the history of the Sith from their own viewpoint, detailing the order's many rises and falls, right up to the time of Darth Krayt.
The Fall of the Jedi Order
by Matthew Stover (Paperback)
An in-depth look at Order 66 and the following Jedi Purge.
The Rise and Fall of Anakin Skywalker
by James Luceno (Hardcover)
This one would cover the entire Star Wars film saga, rewritten from the post-prequel viewpoint we now have. Sort of a "Children of Hurin" type of story, if you will.
X-Wing #10-?
by Aaron Allston (Paperback)
A new addition to the X-Wing series, covering the Rogue and Wraith Squadrons in the time leading up to and beyond the Yuuzhan Vong war.
Edge of the Blade
by Jon Ostrander and Matthew Stover (Hardcover)
An epic tale detailing the life of Quinlan Vos, from his undercover days on Tatooine through his hiding during the Purge and beyond.
Journey into Darkness
by Matthew Stover (Paperback)
A look at the years of wandering that Jacen Solo undertook following the Yuuzhan Vong war, and how it all led to his rebirth as Darth Caedus.
Well, those are some of my ideas. So what are yours?

I'd love to see a story about the inner workings of C-3P0. His thoughts, his feelings, everything. How much fun would that be?

I'd like a story detailing Luke's death. For me, great reading.

I'd like to see some EU books focusing on Anakin's development as a Jedi, properly written, not like what is out there currently which makes you wonder why everyone didn't guess that he would turn to the darkside.
And of course, a Darth Plagueis novel. Why did they have to pull that one.

I like another Rogue and Wraith series not just one. All written by Allston. It could flesh out the back stories even more.
I'd like Darth Plagueis novel also.
I'd also love a novel all about Yoda's upbringing and his homeworld written by Zahn.

Pep, that sentence made me tingle (I am really turning into an uber-geek!) - that is an absolutely fantastic idea for a book. Oh my. :w00t:

Well GL has always kept it a closely guarded secret and I think it's time we knew. If not after George's dies someone will come out with their idea of what species Yoda is and it won't be the same. Zahn would portray it well.
I love to hear a description of the world he came from and imagine many yoda like creatures running around. Maybe it has been destoryed and they could cover how Yoda and Yaddle were the only survivors since they were at the jedi temple.

I'd love a book about Tenel Ka becoming Queen of the Hapes consortium and how she felt about that during the Vong War and afterwards - the intrigues at court, etc. etc. She's a favorite character.
And i'd like to know what the :censored: she's thinking during the LOTF books as well.

A rewrite of the Star Wars: Complete Cross-Sections which includes all the vehicles and vessels from the movies (and why not a separate edition for EU vehicles and vessels?) and to be written by Dr. Curtis Saxton and not the poor excuse for the "complete" Cross-Sections released earlier this year.

These are the ones that really stood out to me. Getting into Jacen's head in that mysterious 5 year period would be freakin' great. And I'm all about X-Wing books and I'm all about books from the YV war. And Purge book, well that idea is a great one, even though I have no particular attachment to that period! I love Matt Stover...
Something I want to see is Tales from the Yuuzhan Vong Invasion much like Tales from the Empire/New Republic/Bounty Hunters. A bunch of short stories from various authors covering much of the galaxy. This leaves room for Rogue and Wraith type stories, minor and major Jedi stories, stories from within the Yuuzhan Vong, be it warriors, priests, shapers, heretics, shamed ones... I think this would really open up the galaxy during that time and give us lots of new characters to fall in love with.
It's not a book, but another thing I'd like to see is a final Kyle Katarn video game, explaining where he was and what he was doing during the YV War. I think that'd be great. And I've never even played any of his games!
I'm on board with the Plaguies novel, as well. I was bummed when that got canceled. As well, I'd like to see a book or a trilogy about the formation of the Rebellion.

Hopefully the live action series will go into more detail about that, but I certainly agree.

I must admit that I love this idea but I also dislike it just as much. I would love to know where Yoda is from and of his species, but I also love the fact that Yoda is such a complete mystery, and every great story needs that. Give me more Yoda stories, but keep his homeworld/origins unknown, that makes the character more interesting to me

I absolutely love this idea! I think that this would be a great idea and it's something that Del Rey should and is probably looking into, great stuff, DS!

I of course would like to see the completed and published trilogy that I started writing a few years ago, set 300 years after ROTJ. That would be sweet.

I also wouldn't mind reading something on Tarkin, that could be interesting.

I'd like to see a Wraith Squadron series, they were always entertaining reading. And more Rogue Squadron! Like when Gavin Darklighter took command for example...
A novel on Asajj Ventress following the Clone Wars would be good. She disappeared into the wilderness, but what did she do? Did she stay fully dark, or find some way to redeem herself?
And pretty much all the suggestions in this thread would be good. Here's hoping GL and Del Rey are reading!

I want something about Corran Horn's kids and how he relates to being a dad compared to Hal Horn, with lots of X-wings and space battles.
If there is something like this already please tell me. I haven't read SW since 2000.

There's nothing like that specifically, but you should check out I,Jedi if you haven't read it already. The Horn kids are badly underwritten in my opinion.

The Horn's are such a colourful family, and Corran has always been one of my favourite characters (the first SW novel I read was Rogue Squadron), so it's a waste of potential if they don't do anything with them. Valin and Jysella should now be around 27 & ?? (so much controvery over Jysella's age, she could be anywhere from 17 - 25), it would be good to see them.

Officially, Jysella was born in 15 ABY, two years after Valin.

If you don't mind me asking, where does that source come from? Just I've been on Wookipedia a couple of times and one place I read said that she was born a decade after Valin, whilst another said 15 ABY, just so that I know.
DarthSolo

I went to Wookieepedia and it said 15 ABY with a note linking me to this: http://forums.starwars.com/thread.jspa?threadID=125719&start=735 where Leeland Chan (Tasty Taste) says that he has 15 ABY in his notes. Though, he also says that "nothing is set in stone." I guess that's as official as we get!

Another novel which involves the Hand of Judgment would also be interesting...

Honestly, Id like to see a more Han focused novel. Not Han playing a role in a larger story, but a novel about Han, or Han and Chewie. Just get back to basics, a smugglers tale, a side trip that actually has some adventure. Not a subplot or seperate storyline in a larger series, but a Han novel (similar to I jedi in style).
Also, a couple more x-wing novels wouldnt be a bad thing. I really enjoyed both the Rogue and the Wraith series. A Rogue novel set after NJO or during Legacy could be very interesting . (Gavin in charge, or Jaina at various times, but written by Allston) Could be really enjoyable.

I'd like to see a novel where scientists are trying to reform Alderaan to offer it to the Killiks as a symbol of good will. If it's even possible to rebuild Carida system, so much the better. I'm sick to death of authors treating the galaxy soley as the sandbox for duels between Jedi and Sith. That's why I liked Rouge Squadron so much.

It depends on how far the book is away from you. Sometimes you can only see a book but not be able to actually read the print inside. :nahnah:

I guess you could say the same for comics. If the comic is close enough to you, you wouldn't be able to see the pictures, just read the text.

a novel that tells how in 7000 BBY a few Jedi Knights began studying the Darkside of the Force, were discovered, rebelled, waged war on the Jedi and Republic for a century in the Hundred Year Darkness, were defeated and exiled into the Outer Rim, and found the Sith species, which they subjugated and founded the Ancient Sith Empire. Since no SW story has been here yet, it could be an entire trilogy or multi-book storyline. It could even star Ajunta Pall. In the least it would explain how the Sith and Jedi bloodfeud got started in the first place....
