if i were to buy a used game from ebay with someone entering in the keycodes, would i still be able to use it and play online? i was thinking i could b/c it is sort of the same as installing it on the same computer, but i want to make sure before i win my auction!

What game are you thinking about? Depending on the age of the game then the two serials in two places won't really matter, but the newer games are sticklers for that sort of thing

Star Wars The Best of PC and Empire At War: Forces of Corruption. those are newer games though! eeek.

How do you mean "someone entering the keycodes"? Dupe license keys will be noticed by the server and banned without warning. Even if your not connecting to centralized servers, 'phoning home' is a fairly (sneaky) common technique. Doom 3 does that. Fortunately Doom 3 was crap so it didn't really bother me that it (single player and online) was deactivated. Then again, I didn't pay good money to play it either...

Don't share your key or use a shared key or you'll be buggered.

well luckily this question is not for me :nahnah:

but since the only game i have played on best of pc is kotor, and i know empire at war, battlefront and republic commando have keycodes, i wasn't sure if you have to enter them in to play them?

i am assuming since the copy is used that they had to have played them.

This 'question' is JUST for you. The license key you're paying money for is pirated. I can assure you of that.

Good luck on that bid.
