I'm really pissed. I downloaded the BF1 Map Editor. It says BF1 must be installed. Same with EaW. I have Best of PC. Help!

Hi Cydon, sorry to hear you are having problems.
I hope this doesn't sound too basic, but have you downloaded all the latest patches for BF1 and the latest patches for your graphics card, whether that be NVIDIA or ATI?
Although if it is saying BF1 must be installed, it sounds like you may have a corrupt install. Are you able to to a re-install? I know sometimes the option of 'repair installation' sometimes comes up with games, not sure if this is the case with BF1. Do make a copy of your 'save games' folder and put it in a safe place if you do attempt a re-install though mate.
Let us know how you get on, I am more than happy to help if I can!

I have all the patches for BF1 and NVIDIA.
I'm using BF1 on Star Wars: Best of PC. I'll try what you said and get back to you.

I'm having a huge problem with KOTOR on Best of PC.
Pretty much every time I enter Undercity on Taris, my whole computer freaks out and freezes either during the loading screen, or right after I get down there. Sometimes if it doesn't freeze up then, whenever I talk to anyone, the dialogue is jumpy as if my CD is skipped and then it freezes up. I have only been there once without it freezing but it is SLOW as ever. And when I access my options down there (if it works), that screen is fine. It is just whenever I am actually controlling my character. This is seriously annoying and there are no scratches at all on my CD. can anyone tell me what to do??

First of all :bye: Hello
Can you give us a brief outline of your computer specs? That will probably help pin-point the specific problem.
As a rule of thumb I generally ask if you have the latest patch for KOTOR? I think the last one was 1.3, but I could be wrong. Also do you have the latest graphics card update from either NVIDIA or ATI? Also do you use a desktop or laptop computer? I think some NVIDIA GO graphics cards do have this problem with some older games like KOTOR.
Also do you have an AMD or Intel machine? If I remember right, I have an AMD dual-core and I had to download the CPU optimizer program to get single core games to work properly on dual core computers.
Please post answers to as many as those points as possible and I will be more than willing to help you out :)

sorry for not checking back earlier... i've been too busy playing kotor. :D
i fixed it on my own... apparently you have to turn off all your graphic options when you're down in the undercity of taris. not sure why it's only in that place and no where else. that's a relief that it was so simple though. i was going to get super #%!**# pissed if it had to do with my actual computer!
anyway thanks for trying to help!

Heh, I am glad you have sorted the problem out. Seems strange that you would need to manually lower your graphics settings for one particular level though.
If you have any other problems, please do post back, it is a very good game and it would be a pity if you couldn't get any further because of the graphics glitches

Have your problems been worked out? If not, tell me the directory path in which you've installed the game.
