Music from Star Wars: What's Your Favorite?

One of many things I enjoy about Star Wars is the music! Do you have a favorite piece?

I have always loved the Throne Room piece from the end of ANH; that's my choice.

I had to vote for the main theme as, although it may not be the greatest piece of music, I still always get a chill down my spine every single time I hear it. :)

Other: Though it's technically the Force theme, I want to point out the specific part when Luke goes to look at the sunset. It starts with a low horn thing (I believe) and then swells into that piece of music we all know and love...priceless

I think both of those qualify as Luke's theme, but am glad to hear the specific scene that both of you favor! :)

I must say excellent poll :wtg: It was very hard for me to pick one above the other, as I love them all.

I chose the Main Star Wars theme, because that is where it all started and the un-bridled joy it brings to scores of audiences the world over, once they hear it in theatres.

"Duel of the Fates" for me. It was nit easy to choose though. The Imperial March is so iconic and badass. The main theme is simply classic. The Throne Room is just spectacular. I could go on and on. I went with Duel of the Fates because it just slaps you in the face right away. Vocals were sparsely used in the OT, and to have them "introduced" for the PT was really nice.

Duel of the Fates is my ultimate favorite. My second favorite would be Yoda's theme, which ties with the Republic Commando soundtrack (something every SW fan should hear).

It has to be Duel of Fates...it was the most dynamic, the fastest pace, and the coolest peace of music I've heard in a Star Wars movie...

I like the Throne room theme as well. I also like the cantina song and the new cantina song from the special edition. I think it's called Jedi Rock on the soundtrack! :)

I have never been a dark sider or had sympathy for the Empire, but the imperial march is really good. I am an engineer and we look for order and discipline. Imperial march makes you feel these two.

I've heard the music from those games is quite good!

^^which is why I voted for it too - that and the many variations that are woven throughout all 6 films - even at the beginning of RotS. Across the Stars and the changes in it between in AotC to RotS would have my 2nd vote - it really is a stunningly beautiful piece of music.
I think we need to do something scientifically permanent to preserve the genius of John Williams.

It's actually Obi-Wan's theme at that part.

They're essentially the same with some MINOR differences; but, the part at that Plays on "Binary Sunset" is Obi Wan's theme...just so you know.

Oh, and I haven't seen anyone else mention it, but I really like the music in the Naboo core scene in TPM. Those vocals give me shivers, and the whole theme fits the scene so perfectly! (It doesn't hurt if you're partial to dark underwater environments. :wink:) I also really like "The Emperor's Throne Room". Another piece that gives me chills!

Love the Imperial March... but Duel of the Fates really gets me pumped... so I voted for it. I'd have to say both are my faves... and then the main titles of course are as iconic as it gets.
