View Full Version : Chronology of EU novels (post-ROTJ)

I decided I was tired of trying to remember the order of novels in the Star Wars continuity. I know we have the Timeline (a huge thanks to Nathan Butler for his hard work on that), but I wanted a compiled listing of which novel follows which, and I prefer the post-ROTJ era, so here it is.

It will work like this:
Person A posts the first novel, Truce At Bakura.
Next post is Person B, whom lists the next novel in order of when it supposed to occur. Unless I am mistaken, that would be X-Wing: Rogue Squadron.
Person C adds the next novel, and so on.
For the purposes of the thread, comics and other non-novel items are excluded (that goes triple for video/pc games and any rpg-type items).

Everyone should include the previous lists of novels when posting there next-in-line novel. Just do a cut and paste of the previous post to make it easier on yourself.

This thread may be closed or deleted if a Mod decides that it is pointless or already been done. I won't be offended. :grouphug:

Thanks JB, but unless we are closing the thread I would like to leave it open for other members to chime in.

However, what you have is what I was trying for. I was at a used bookstore and I wished I had a printout of the novels and when they are supposed to happen so that I could get the ones I wanted to read in the best order.

So your coughing fit was a nice piece of info.
But, um, who is Greenlightsaber24?

GreenLightsaber24 is me....another name I go by online. I'm GreenLightsaber24 at SW.com, TF.N's boards...and a couple other sites that I can't think of off the top of my head.

I have the name Antilles on a few other sites, myself. And Antillesjr when shopping on Ebay.

But I digress...I'm PMing Master Magnus about this thread. If it really isn't needed (ie we have directions to your link or one like it in another thread), then I have asked for the thread to be deleted. Otherwise, we may as well keep it open so the casual user can find the lists he/she is looking for.

Thanks for whoever did that chronology file. Great stuff.

Does anyone know of a site that has some summaries of the novels (at least the Post-ROJ stuff). I would like to get back to reading some but I do NOT want to do all of them. Just no time. :( I stopped after the duology of Zahn (Vision of the Future..I think). I like to pick and choose which to read just to catch up on all of the characters.

Speaking of which, anyone know of a characters guide that is up to date? I realize that would need a HUGE effort but I was curious as to what happened to many of the characters from the earlier post-ROJ novels.

Thanks for any help. :D

The best two sites to go to are the CUSWE and the SWT-G.

The CUSWE is the Complete Unofficial Star Wars Encyclopedia. It's extensively detailed and a great reference source. AND far more trustworthy than a wiki. You can find it at www.cuswe.org (http://www.cuswe.org).

The SWT-G is the Star Wars Timeline Gold, by Nathan Butler. The best summary-based timeline around. Period. It can be found at www.starwarsfanworks.com (http://www.starwarsfanworks.com).
