discuss the first Death Star. Like, were there many Imperial survivors? You know, like Colonel Veers and Chief Bast and Darth Vader.

The one shot wonder. Do you ever wonder if the empire had it insured?

The only survivor that I know of is Darth Vader. Looking forward to novel on the Death Star's construction, etc.

^ oh more than just Vader survived. Colonel Maximillian Veers was scheduled to join the Imperial Army contingent aboard the Death Star, and his shuttle actually arrived insystem in time to watch the stations destruction and to gety shot down by a Rebel Y-Wing. Veers survived crash landing on Yavin 4, and would later be rescued by the Imperial Blockading Fleet after surviving for weeks in the jungles. (they really ought to make a novel about Veers).

A TIE pilot from Black Squadron (Vaders own) named Qorl was also shot down, and survived in the Yavin jungles for over 20 years, eventually becoming friends with the Solo children at the Jedi Academy on Yavin 4, and helping defend and evacuate Yavin from the Yuuzhan Vong.

The officer whose men analyzed the Rebel starfighter attack, Chief Bast, and reported to Tarkin of the dangers, has been revealed by the Death Star conference room figure set to have been among the few Imperials who were able to successfully evacuate the Death Star before its destruction, and he later was seen as an aide to Vader himself 6 months later over Kashhyyyk.

The famed 501st Stormtrooper Legion, among the best in the Empire, was stationed aboard the Death Star, and a third of it survived the battle as well, and struck back at the Rebels.

I agree. He’s an interesting character.

Ah yes, I remember reading about that years ago. Silly me.

Chief Bast [. . .] has been revealed by the Death Star conference room figure set to have been among the few Imperials who were able to successfully evacuate the Death Star before its destruction

I’m curious about the canon level of sources such as action figures. Are we talking C-Canon here?

well, as it was an official liscensed product, and because all the other info was accurate, and because Bast was shown alive after Yavin as Vaders aide, and because nowhere is it stated that he died, and if anyone had the means and motive to get the hell off the Death Star, it was him; Isay he lived. But hey, dont go by me....

Way to completely ignore the question.

SWB2 was an officially sanctioned product of LucasArts, therefore, YES, it is officially c-canon.
