^I would hope you meant Dr. Pepper (which is a really good drink, btw!)
on the Dr. Pepper topic, do you like the diet flavors at all?

No. I don't like nor do I need diet flavors. Original all the way, with the exception of a Vanilla Dr. Pepper at Sonic.
RedMirax
03-26-2007, 11:50 PM
Miasmo is correct. Leaded Dr. Pepper all the way (with the Vanilla version at Sonic even better)!! :)

speaking of fast food sodas, the HiC Orange at more than a few McDonalds is quite good, and I havent found it anywhere else.....

I don't drink soda. I drink pop.
Jedi Master Harrison
03-27-2007, 12:44 PM
Is there a distinct difference between Soda and pop then, I took the word Soda to mean any cabonated drink. Damn the language barrier.
JackBauer24
03-27-2007, 12:55 PM
You bake with soda; you drink pop.
Darth Massacrus

I actually prefer diet Dr. Pepper over the regular and the same as Pepsi, the diets just taste better to me, with the expception of Coke, Coke is just plain awful.
Darth Massacrus
03-28-2007, 11:28 AM

Darth Massacrus
03-28-2007, 11:35 AM
^yup. Also, it was the first Diet Soda in the US, but apparently tasted like sludge when it first debuted....

JackBauer24
03-28-2007, 06:27 PM
Surge sucked. Plain and simple.
Miasmo
03-28-2007, 06:31 PM
Surge ate up my stomach. It hit stores when I was in high school and some toads came in to give them away to students. You know the routine. First one's free, then you're hooked and will pay.
I was not hooked. I threw half my bottle away.

^reminds me of the market surveys for Sierra Mist (btw mist is german for sh!t. This cannot be a coincidence). I hated Sierra Mist (to this day it still irritates me to see it in Mtn Dew's place) and ended up spitting it back into the can.

Hi, My name is Jennifer, I am a Dewholic.
I drank Mountain Dew every single day for 22 years.... It rotted all my teeth, it caused me to get diabetes at age 40, it aggravated my kidneys to the point that kidney disease kicked in.
I am now seven month Dew free and I feel so much better!
Now it's either Diet A&W, Diet Sunkist, or good ol' water.
Darth Massacrus

My first(and only) taste of Sierra Mist came at Taco Bell a few years ago when what I would have preferred was a Sprite. I figured I'd give it a whirl. I remember thinking that the fountain machine was broken after I took that first sip. I think I might have walked next door and picked up a DP at the gas station when I left.
But what irks me even more is when I'm at a restaurant and I ask if they have Sprite, to which they reply "Yes. Well, it's Sierra Mist." WTF?? Then it's not Sprite!:banghead:
Cydon

Darth Massacrus
03-29-2007, 11:02 AM
unfortunately, Sprite is unavailable at Taco Bells, KFCs, Pizza Huts, and A.W.s, as those chains are owned by PEPSICO, and Sprite is a product of the Coca Cola Company....

I'll take Cherry Pepsi over Pepsi, but usually don't drink either. I will say Pepsi tastes better to me with pizza than Coke does.
Darth Massacrus
03-29-2007, 06:29 PM
^yep, cherry pepsi. Also, mtn dew code red, is good!

I was a big fan of Vanilla Coke... then they took it away :(
But ever since high school it's been Coke as my main choice... and like someone else stated, when I order a "Coke" I don't want Pepsi or a Cola... if you don't have Coke tell me a nd I will choose something else, don't just try to give me a Pepsi in its place... I'd rather have a Rootbeer or a Mt. Dew any day before I have a Pepsi :barf:
And the odd thing is I was a devoted Pepsi drinker all the way into my mid teens... and when ever I took the "Pepsi Challenge" i would pick Coke... wierd. :P
so what do they own then? Me being an ignorant Brit and all.............
Here's a list, but there may be more :P

What's actually in the can is anyone's guess, but it says on the can, "No Caffeine." I'm sensitive to, and avoid, caffeine. I put away three or so cans of (diet) Barq's a day, without ill effects, which I think is a pretty good indicator that the labeling is legit.

Barq's is the only decent canned Root Beer I've found. It's still waaaay too sweet though. I found real sarsaparilla up north of Phoenix and it's fantastic. Costs more than a pint of import beer for a small glass but worth it. Like non-sweet root beer with a naturally light fizz. Add one ice cube and it's perfection.
I had an apple flavoured mineral water this morning. It was pretty nice and refreshing.

Soda I! (extremely lame pun intended)
Anyways, Vault and Mtn. Dew as usual for me.
I tried strawberry flavoured soda this afternoon. Frankly speaking it was soda with too much sugar and a very little taste of strawberry. I give it 1 out of 5.

something strange happened at the local supermarket to me: they had absolutely no Vault in stock. However, since this particular store had stopped stocking a bunch of products, I went across the street to another supermarket. They didn't have any Vault either. I asked a nearby supervisor if something was up with the Vault, and he said he'd heard it was going to be discontinued. EEK! Can anyone confirm this?
