Tomorrow (Monday March 19th) the Star Wars Complete Incredible Cross-Sections of Vehicles, a compilation of earlier material coupled with new vehicles and vessels from all the Star Wars movies will be released. The impeccable research by Dr. David West Reynolds and Dr. Curtis Saxton has helped us to better understand the Star Wars universe from a technical standpoint. So, feel free to discuss about the book.

I have it on pre-order, along with the Ultimate Visual Guide Special Edition, so it will be at least another 10 days before it arrives here...

So everything from previous books is in here? I believe there were four. One for each movie and the OT.

Yes and it also includes new vehicles such as the TIE bomber and Imperial Shuttle and others. I'm a bit disappointed that no word has been given about the Executor though.

That would be awesome. There'd be like a 10 page fold out or something. :w00t:

^Yes, that would be great! :)
I'm a little miffed that British Amazon states that the release date is May 3rd and my local Sci-Fi store hasn't got it yet. Bummer.

I believe that the British Amazon has the Dorling Kindersley-version, while the US-version is by DK... Same book, different cover...

DK is an abbreviation of Dorling Kindersley, but you're right, the cover is different (but the cover at British Amazon could be the old one...).

DK is an abbreviation of Dorling Kindersley
I know, but in the UK, the books are published under the Dorling Kindersley imprint (with a UK-pound price printed on it) and in the US, the are printed by DK Inc., with the $-sign. (I have one of the previous books in both editions)

Oh, I see... Did you pre-order from the American Amazon?

Yep (having made the same mistake in the past regarding different publication-dates, I check the DK/Dorling Kindersley books thoroughly to see which one is coming out first... since I only collect the first-editions of these books, I now have several UK versions and several US versions)...

Sorry for the double post, but I'm a little bummed that so many capital ships (Rebel transports, Nebulon-B frigates, the Executor, the second Death Star and the Mon Calamari vessels etc.) were left out.
