That's right, folks! This is the one and only thread for those addicts of the java, those brave souls who go through life with a stiff upper lip and hands that vibrate faster than a pocket rocket. Right here, right now, this is the place for coffee drinkers!

I'd hate to see what you would drink if you ever worked nights.

So what kind do you get, coffee from work or what?

JackBauer24
03-06-2007, 12:47 PM
Yeah, work has a coffee machine downstairs. It's a great excuse to get away from my desk halfway through the day. Lessee...4 cups x .70 = $2.80 a day.

I only drink Hazlenut Mocha, or almond Mocha, or Peppermint Mocha from Starbucks. I don't really like the taste of coffee, but it smells good.

Every time I hear the name Starbucks I think of the freaky yuppy couple from Best in Show.

I'm not crazy about flavored coffee.... it...it just doesn't do anything for me. I have a nice little 2 cupper sitting at my desk. I fill her up with water in the morning, take the pups out for a walk, presto! I'm home - it's brewed. 2 my limit...nice..little bit of sugar....nice smack of half and half and the day is just peachie! and so

I could still count the cups of coffee I have had in my life. I have never set foot in a Starbucks. I was never a fan of hot beverages. I need ice, lots of it. I drank Mountain Dew for 22 years, that was my morning coffee, but I had to stop drinking it 6 months ago.

Yet my favorite smell on the planet is... coffee. It's so appealing that I can't be around it for long because I get dizzy from all the inhaling.

I like coffee. I particularly iced mocha. Yumzozozo. Especially white chocolate iced mocha. Yumzozozozo. :)
And a good cup of milky coffee (my mum won't let me have black coffee) is lovely in the mornings.
Sometimes I trick myself into thinking that I've had a cup of coffee by putting a few grains on my tongue...after a while it's like the aftertaste of coffee. Weird, I know, but great for when I'm either too full or don't have the time.

I don't pay for coffee at work either. They have caf and de-caf and it's made all day long. Drink all you want free. Use big cups, little cups, huge cups, itty-bitty cups. It's free! doesn't matter.

I like coffee and sometimes go to Star Bucks. But not sure if it's for the coffee or the girls that work there. :scratchchin:

At home I have flavoured coffee's like;Irish creme and hazlenut.

See, Obidobi was raised drinking coffee, ever since he was a newborn and his mother breastfed him from a perculator. They finally wiened him off at 15.

Tovor

I was never a coffee drinker per se. I drank it once in a while when I went out for breakfast in a restaurant, and occassionaly at someone's home when they served it, though most of the time I preferred to have a soda. Like Blizz, I also preferred cold drinks. I know a lot of people who can't start their day, at all, without having a cup of coffee, but I always preferred a cold soda in the morning, or orange juice. Caffeine didn't do anything for me, it never woke me up at all. I could drink 20 cups and it won't have an affect on anything but my bladder.

But, now that I'm working in an office with all the free coffee you can drink in the cafeteria (yes, free!), I have found myself drinking vanilla-hazel nut coffee every single day, sometimes a few cups a day. And I love it. It's not the caffeine at all, but simply the enrvironment for some reason. I sit down at my desk with a cup of coffee and I suddenly feel so...office worker-like. And I do love vanilla.

And if it wasn't so embarrassing it would be funny, which in a way makes the embarrassment somewhat funny...that the first time I drank the last cup from the vanilla coffee pitcher and had to--out of courtesy, and a posted sign--make a new pot for the next people, I stood there dumbfounded because I had no clue how to make a pot of coffee. Like I said, I'm not (or wasn't) a coffee drinker. Somebody had to show me. And on top of that, I didn't slide the pot back all the way under the drip part and it was spilling on the top of the pot. Then another woman tried to fix it and forgot to turn off the perculator first, and then there was coffee pouring down all over the place. I felt like Jar Jar in Wattos shop knocking everything over.

empire21
03-08-2007, 08:05 AM
The Hazel nut and Vanilla coffee's are great and like Javen mentioned, Irish cream is another good flavored coffee that I actually have in my freezer, I think i'm going to make myself some of that soon.

As for coffee at work we have a machine, I wish we could make our own cause the coffee from the machine is so weak that I have to have ten cups a day, now if I was aloud to make the coffee things would be a little different around work. :)

I rememer being a 13yr-old that could distinguish Colombian from Java...
Eep!

I love coffee, but it none of that instant crap please! And I admit to liking some hazelnut syrup in a cappucino...
I don't drink it too much any more, it's more of a weekend treat nowadays really. I prefer it as a sociable event than as a daily fix - I go to green tea for that.

I didn't drink coffee for a long time, then started up about a year ago. Half the time I have to settle for instant, but I dress it up as much as I can most of the time. Other times I'll get some at the donut shop or the gas station. Exxon has been offering a 20oz coffee with a free 20oz Dasani water. It's about a buck thirty. They've got some good flavors there but I have to be in a particular mood for each one. Blueberry, Golden French Toast, French Vanilla, Breakfast Blend, they're all pretty good.

Oh, and because of me being sick, I haven't touched the stuff in 2 weeks! Almost afraid to start back up. I've cut out a lot of my caffeine consumption.

No coffee for the second day in a row. Tried to go to Tim Horton's this morning, but they were crowded...the drive-thru line ran around two corners of the building, across the parking lot and into the left turn lane of the 4-lane highway the Hortons sits on. I pulled up in the left turn lane and took one look at the 15 cars waiting and said uh-uh. I've been drinking several cups of French Vanilla coffee at work every day. It's amazing how I go 40 years without drinking any coffee or caring about it unless it's offered to me socially, and now I'm drinking it non-stop at work every day like I can't get enough of it.

I've been having serious insomnia and sleeping only 4-5 hours a night some nights. Last night it was bad and I got 3 hours of sleep if I'm lucky, more like 2.5 hours. Now, caffiene never had any affect on my as far as waking me up, but today I was a mess because I was struggling to stay awake while at work, while at the same time I was restless and hyperactive and fidgity, both wired :w00t: and tired  at once. It was a freaky feeling. So naturally I drank more coffee in hopes that it would help me, but I'm not sure if it was doing more harm than good.

I like...caramel coffee. :drooly:

Actually I've never tried it but I have tried caramel tea and I love it. :drooly:

Oh and I like iced coffee better than hot.

And I don't like sweet coffee, but black coffee is too bitter, so I like 3 parts milk, 2 parts coffee. :)

Sweden, where coffee drinking is something of a national hobby, doesn't have a single Starbuck's (I think there were plans, but they seem to have fell through)... There are plenty of derivatives with English names though...
