What was the date?
Plus, it's not that big of a stretch. One of the only things Maul says is "Finally, we will have our revenge."

True^ any idea of the date on it, because if it has a date just go to sw.com and you can find the name.

Again, what's the date on that?
And again, that's not that far of the stretch. One, because of what Maul says, and two, because of the obvious parallel to "Return of the Jedi." There were quite a few people who saw that as a viable title for the second or third prequel when the prequels were first announced. It's not like SW Insider was some incredible prognosticator.

It does say April-May 1999 at the top of the page.

It's not that weird. "Revenge of the Sith" is a perfect play on words for the title of an article that features a Sith character. And, based on the timing, this was nothing to do with Episode III. It was just a clever title for something that was hyping the release of Episode I.
(On a separate note, here at the Galactic Senate there was lots of title speculation before the official announcements, and "Revenge of the Sith" was one of the titles that was guessed to be the name of Episode III. Just go to the Archives and look it up.)

I seem to remember a poster being issued after TPM came out that also said Revenge of the Sith on it. I think it contained Quigon and Maul's duel on Tatooine.
EDIT: After searching a good bit, I can't find the poster I was talking about. Could just be my mind misreading the past. That was one packed summer.

Weird that I was looking at that exact issue the other day, not that the issue had what would be the title.

Hello all :bye:
This is my first post, anyway.
Having a magazine that is probably about 7 years old have the article title "Revenge of the Sith" on the front cover seems just like pure coincidence. Thinking about it George Lucas and co were probably still revising titles for the other two prequels back in 1999.

He was probably toying with "Return of the Sith" at that time, until he realized that it was in the character of the Sith to be vengeful.
And... Welcome to the Galactic Senate!
